Excited to see the other two Hobbit videos, would love to see how the Barrel attack, smaug attack on laketown, and the battle of the five armies looks. They've obviously done some serious regrading. Thanks for putting this together!
I agree it is more appropriate colour grading is abysmal in some shots. The HDR is overboard as well, with no feeling of depth. Many shots look too washed out and it's as if somebody has gone overboard with the brightness setting on your tv. Edge enhancement is terrible and now seems to make everything look green screen. You can really see the waxy DNR on close ups as well. Very disappointed and expected more from Weta on this. Some basics that were errors when blu ray first came out. Stick with my blu ray copies and that goes for LOTR as well.
