I'm not a huge fan of what they did with Two Tower's colors, but ROTK is looking really nice here. Some shots have a bit of DNR (see 2:55) but the shots of Barad-dur look more ominous.

@@rasmusslettemo7234 digital noise reduction, By the way, @ aaron: I had the the same thought, Didn't like the 1st 2 movies, but return of the king has become really beautiful

@@rasmusslettemo7234 FOTR and TTT look pretty good except for flashbacks- they've been covered in a murky / gauzy filter and are often literally black and white, a pretty dramatic change. B/W cinematography can look beautiful with high contrast, but these shots are murky and grey. You can see an example in a TTT comparison video with Arwen at Aragorn's grave. TTT was always a little too desaturated but it's been pumped up too much with color across the board- it wasn't designed to be that saturated and it shows.
