ABOUT: 🔻
The Hu is a Mongolian folk metal band formed in 2016. With traditional Mongolian instrumentation, including the Morin khuur, the Tovshuur, and Mongolian throat singing, the band calls their style of music "hunnu rock", hu inspired by the Hunnu, an ancient Mongol/Turkic empire, known as Hünnü in Mongolia.

fun facts: throat singing is not native to only mongolia. most people who have a nomadic life style developed some form of it. among them tuvans, who are an ancient and relatively small group of turkic people in siberia have much more skill and different tones at that. you might check out anything by huun-huur-tu or kongar ol-ondar. their videos are not this cool tbh, but what they can sing is amazing. probably dad will like them a bit more.

@@DashyXDAndDadReacts Man. I am Mongol. Tuva people are not Turkic and Siberian people. Tuva people are totally different from Turkic and Siberian (Saha or Yakut) people. Tuva is one of the ethnic groups of Mongolia. Their Mongolian name is Urainkhai. The half of Tuva (Urainkhai) people are still living in Mongolia. Tuva was a realm of Mongolia until 1944. The Mongolians used to call that area the Uriankhain region. Russian Communists were seized in 1944 after establishing a toy state due to many intrigues and pressures to separate Tuva from Mongolia. They were Mongolian-speaking nomads, but now, there is no more Tuva language, there is no nomadic livestock husbandry, and the national heritages and traditions have been destroyed by Russians.

The horseman flies the dreaded Black Banner of war of Gengis Khan's armies! Submit or die! Metal horses remind us of the real ones, they are one, the warrior and his war horse. This ancient war song is quite impressive.

The Mongolians were something else. Just build different. Often when discussing old civilizations there are certain "rules" and factors that apply to how they can expand and evolve to become bigger and more powerful but somehow those rules just don't apply to the mongols. For example - never invade Russia* *Unless you're the Mongols ^_^

The Hu vs Alien Weaponry? Mongols every day of the week and twice on Sunday. I did my thesis on the Mongol conquests of Genghis thru Kublai and they were masters of war.

Stuff I read. Mongolia was never conquered. 30% of the people are nomadic. The president of Mongolia was one of the bikers. Genghis Kahn and company held more territory than anyone ever. If you joined them, their reputation would protect you. If you resisted, you died.
