@moisesvillasenor4095 I have started re-watching the anime and ironically, when I commented this, I got to the chimera ant arc and saw the scene where kite let gon and killua know about this exact topic lmao

Huh? He didnt left gon tho, in the manga it was stated by mito that Ging wanted to have gon's custody but ging lost in the custody trial, SMH this anime watchers... Mito in manga : gon I lied to you, I made him give up Go search in the internet, stop acting like a bandwagon @@El_Badai

The condition is that he has to be hit, which can be pretty lethal depending on the ability, additionally I assume abilities that don’t hit like neon’s just can’t be copied
@@FTW1230 unless you dont use nen then thats lethal to those non user or you didnt put enough aura around where you will get hit, there is no way he cant defend himself from nen attacks. getting hit is a pretty simple condition and thats the only condition and not even a hatsu of himself, its just talent of ging
@@FTW1230it's not even a real condition because this isnt a nen ability it's just a talent that ging has. He could probably copy an ability he just sees but he analyzes faster getting hit. And most attacks aren't lethal to someone like ging with one hit anyway

It's only what he was willing to show Pariston, while fully aware that the entire ordeal was something Pariston was doing just to get a glimpse of Ging's power, who only showed him that much out of respect for the people tricked/forced into taking part in the charade!
ATTENTION: TOGASHI IS BACK. for anyone thats unaware, togashi has been posting DAILY photos of him finishing at least THREE PAGES edit: PER DAY (FFS.) for WEEKS now. This happened shortly after and maybe because of akira toriyamas death. Who knows. The timing is there for it and the good reason for him to go hard like this because of it is there. Maybe he saw toriyamas death as a sign that he could die too at any moment and even if an unexpected tragedy didn't hit him ĺike it hit toriyama, he himself is an older gentleman and has been gripping with crippling bad health and severe back pain for so many years now. Id say that he fears his time is almost up. He knows he'll probably regret never finishing the story if he doesnt get busy. Its really such a shame that akira toriyama may be the cause for togashi busting his ass working hard all of a sudden but the good news is that the next batch of 10 chapters is about to release. Just a few more days to go.
@@joshmakarenko5809i have a feeling this succession war is going to come to an abrupt and untimely end for a lot of characters once they hit a certain point of the ocean
Kind of, what he’s already pulled off on panel is ridiculous but we haven’t seen a tenth of what he can do yet. Honestly, Greed Island is probably the most bananas thing he ever did.
I like how his strong af, and is the father of the mc, but is still slightly weaker than the strongest. It’s just perfect, and that way, it leaves Gon some space to become no. 1
"Do you just use your nen ability to copy other's nen ability ?" "using my nen ability ?, why would I use my nen to do something as easy as other's nen ability ?"
From what I understand Togashi has only made i think 70 chapters since the anime ended. If you really wanna pull a DBZ or One Piece that's still only 70 episodes. I love HxH too but Togashi is like GRRM he's not going to finish it and is too stubborn to let a successor pick up where he left off
I don't think he refined Leorio's ability. He just extrapolated practical applications from it because he knew Leorio was studying up to be a doctor. I think Leorio himself knows the practical applications of his nen ability. He's not stupid.
well if he was able to use someone's nen ability from sheer talent like leorios then that probably means he has the same type as lerorios or hes a specialist
The theory is that he is an emitter like Yuusuke from YYH but this theory is just random bullshit. I would not like for Ging to be a specialist cause making anybody important a specialist kinda devalues it TBH.
technically a triple star hunter, dudes just too lazy to fill out the paperwork also, yea sure ging is pretty tough, he's absolutely one of the best nen users there is having shown an outstanding level of control over his aura, and that's before we even know what his affinity is. But gings strength isn't his power or talent, it's his mind. He's clever, that's why he's top tier
I assume he's an enhancer just like gon, but with so much talent that he has the capacity to go past emitter/transmutator. But most of the stuff he does would be possible with enhancer-emitter-transmutator I feel
@@johnnickfanaccount3492 with the more skilled nen users the affinity doesn't matter all that much. netero for example is an enhancer, and his primary hatsu makes use of conjuration and manipulation, his two weakest affinities. Taking note of hisokas personality test, and how quiet gings aura is, enhancer seems pretty unlikely. but it's definitely possible. honestly my moneys on specialist, knowing the effort he goes through to hide his hatsu
@@_Stray Ging might be an enhancer with the ability to "enhance" his understanding of things. That makes him a generalist (non-categorizable character) instead of a specialist.
Why tf would it matter? Even if it's his real ability he could potentially already have stolen a billion other abilities already... Doesnt matter if he leaks one of his abilities when he has a billion more even of it is his original one.
Just to be clear, it has been heavily implied in the series how you can just choose an ability to use even if it is not your affinity, it just takes more effort to do so. What Ging has been doing to copy, is indeed just him applying that same principle, meaning copycat is not an ability but an expertise in nen
He must definitely be a specialist for him to be able to learn so many different techniques just by seeing them once and even polishing them. specially with the fact that greed island cards have so many different variations and properties he has to be quite able in all nen types. He is a Jack of all trades. Although with his talend and skills it's more like an king of all trades i guess
On your first half... no, he's just immensely talented which would explain why he was the only examinee to pass during the hunters exam. But it would explain why people always say Ging made an impression on them since specialists are known to be charismatic, but I do kinda see your point.
@@GingsWifeMost hunter exam participants are pushover that don't even know nen exists to begin with so the hunter exams are insanely easy to eliminate every other participant and pass solo if you know nen and really want to be a dick to all the other contestants...
@@GingsWife99% of hunter examinees are ass compared to everyone else in the series tho 💀 gon with no nen could beat the shit out of 60% of the hunter examinees
Important note: in the manga he told that he doesn't have the ABILITY to copycat nen abilities, but he can IMITATE nen ability. Meaning to say, that is not even his nen ability. That is just Ging putting a concept into practice. Ging is just him.
Ging is him indeed, most talented character in the show except for maybe Meruem. Dude is so talented he passed the Hunter Exam at the age of 12 and he was the ONLY ONE that passed that year.
We might not know the extent of his raw power but his technical skills are impressive. As someone who only watched the anime, after watching a video about all the Greed Island cards, Ging is a mad genius.
To be fair Gons dad has been in the dark continent most of the time Gons been alive... from what little we even know I really don't blame him for not taking Gon with him.. it was too risky but he wanted/needed to go in his mind
@@IMorphyus He was practically down the street from Gon when he was in the hospital after the Chimera Ant arc which is precisely why Leorio punched him.
@@quality9299don freecs is probably stronger than meruem considering he managed to live and document the dark continent for decades atleast and don't forget the dc has monsters more dangerous then meruem
he probably doesnt even have a very good hatsu, he’s just so adept at the basic 5 categories that he’s never needed to develop one, he can just make up slightly less powerful hatsu-like abilities on the spot.
Given what we've seen, I'd definitely say he's a Specialist. Specialist are compatible with every other nen type. It's possible Ging developed multiple abilities and used some of those said abilities to make the spells in Greed Island
He didn’t really improve leorios ability, he just used it how it was intended but for fighting purposes, that ability of sending what’s beyond a surface and then get to it without damaging said surface is meant to be for surgical purposes
If we apply that logic to everything, it can weaken many claims. For example, saying someone is the greatest basketball player could be disputed by the existence of unknown players. The same goes for calling someone the strongest man. Usually, talented people who use their abilities get noticed and recognized. If someone hides their talents or doesn't use them, they can't be claimed as the best because no one knows about them. To prove you're the best, you need to compete against and beat those who hold titles or rankings. Without recognition, it doesn't matter if you're more talented because no one will ever know. Netero, as the leader of a well-known Nen user organization, ranks Gon’s father among the top five Nen users. Unless someone else comes forward to challenge this, there's no real argument against it.
Yes but I think his point is theres nen users outside of the organization. But i agree w the other comment that if you dont compete it doesnt matter.. Like DB Goku was the strongest saiyan until they ran into broly... Although other ppl say gokus stronger in manga now and all at. But still goku was the strongest until broly. Its like if a tree falls and no ones around... Yea it makes noise but it doesn't matter bc nobody heard or saw it@@bizquitguy2365
Yes because Ging is not the biological father of Gon.... It's Don Freecs his biological father....Ging is the younger and present Don Freecs...... Don/Ging are one...The future and the present... Their nen ability is time manipulation..
Post-Rose Meruem destroys anyone that isnt from the Dark Continent. Even Netero who should be above Ging tought he would get destroyed by one Royal Guard.
He just has that dummy protag energy. This is where gon gets his natural nen affinity, as well as his unbreakable spirit that allows him to griw and learn so fast.
Ging is the most feared hunter for a reason. Ging is also the living embodiment of fuck around and find out. If he decides he wants to fuck around, you're the one that's going to find out.
I think nen types and abilities don't really apply here. He's got an affinity for all kinds of nen abilities so I don't think he's especially good at one but pretty good at all. His own nen type or ability might have pushed him to become like this or he might be a natural generalist. Personally I would prefer for him to just never bothered to look for an answer so he doesn't know and doesn't bother figuring that out until the situation demands it of him. I'm curious as to what he was doing during the chiméra ant arc before the Hunter elections. I forgor.
extremely talented to a point that he can create new nen abilities based on someone else's ability, making him a broken ass hunter that is not only valued for his combat ability, but also the utility he brings to any given situation.
