This performance is insane and it always blows my mind how coordinated drummers are cuz it's the only instrument I can think of where you have to use all of your limbs. That ambient part before the funky outro was a lot more intricate than I thought hearing the drums isolated but it might have just been lower in the mix on the studio version.

yesss I can say as a drummer he's not overly complicated but he's so damn tasty and clean. I love that he treats the drums as another instrument within the song and not just a time keeping part of the music. After years and years not having a 'favorite' drummer I can say he's quickly become mine just for mixing so many different styles that I like together. He makes me want to ~play~ and not just keep the beat.

Like I’ve always appreciated other bands and the drumming parts but i haven’t really taken notice of a drummer since Travis until now and IIs drumming is just so amazing and so impressive!

Best drummer.

II has the same effect on me as any footage of Neil Peart of RUSH which means they are NOT to be missed. Both are definitively different drummers, but both can compose brilliantly. As a drummer myself I had an earlier hunger for this style of drumming and was partially fed with Katatonia's Dead End Kings album, which featured Daniel Liljekvist on drums. Daniel, like II, has very similar drumming tastefulness, ghost note mastery, and a magical breathing quality with his finessed sticking. It is as if II imagined Daniels's style and gave it a fuller presence. This is why II captivates me. And of course, Vessel's voice is what keeps me listening millions of times.

You haven’t been impressed by a drummer since blink182. Out there, there are thousands of people who haven’t been impressed by a drummer before at all like me. Ofc there are plenty of drummers that you may say he is the goat. But there is only one drummer who makes people to get the chops working even though you already passed your 20s.

You might be able to get away with chopping up your sundowning reaction into individual songs to get the views back
