People take too much pride in what they think they know about their favorite musicians!! They argue on these pages like they know him personally 'cause they read a book or learned some info....lol

In the long run most people don't even know themselves, to be fair though - the same effect you describe carries over to ALL famous/well known figures in history - even the founding fathers, in the end, we only know what we perceive, one could argue that one could never even really known their own parents(and vise versa) - people only know what they perceive (including what they are told) what does one truly know in this case? It was once said that the wisest man in the world is the one who says he knows nothing, relative to the comments section though -> people just have opinions is all.

Long hot summer night is the last song worth mentioning on electric lady land, if they wanna pick a making of a song the epic 14 minute 1983 mermon I should turn to be, would be hendrixs first choice, with Hendrix he wanted to paint pictues of earth and space, nobody did that, except pink Floyd and Hendrix said he liked Floyd a lot as a new group in 70 before ''money' came out American audiences almost ruined pinkfloyd. you could hear pin drop in American audience's before dark side moon

I'm wit u Danny. Kramer, goez on & on about Jimi making Darth Vader noisez & talkz about da nsane mixing job, dat wuz 1983. Otha than dat, there iz not 2 much about it. I found it fascinating 2 know dat Hendrix did those background vocalz. A LONG HOT SUMMERZ NITE, while not 1 of anybodiez favoritez, iz an ntriguing song. Nobody else, mayb xcept Zappa, stretched 4mz, & Zappa wuz alwayz tryin 2 b funny. Hendrix, wuz dead serious, n taking da R&B/Gospel - started by Ray Charlez, 2 da next step. Therez lotzo good muzak, Jimiz playin, n dis song!
