Andy here, producer of The Keeper's Diary: A Biohazard Story Thank you to EVERYONE who contributed to the campaign, shared our social posts, and created content pushing this out there. This truly is a community project of EPIC proportions and we hope you enjoy the love letter to our favourite game series. We are humbled.

Hi guys! This is Luke de la Nougerede, the cinematographer (DOP) from The Keeper's Diary. This project truly put my two largest passions in life - Filmmaking and Resident Evil together in the ultimate fan project. We're so pleased to see all of the positivity that has been coming out from this film and it makes all of our 20-hour filming days on set totally worth it! Thanks for your support throughout the project and turning this vision into a reality.

This was absolutely phenomenal, from start to finish! And as a lifelong resident evil fan, I think I speak on behalf of everyone when I say: THANK YOU! This brought the kid out in me and hopefully there is more to come in the future. Well job, everyone.

This 20 minute short had more soul than Welcome to Raccoon City and The Paul Anderson films combined.

You got RE1 Remake Chris Redfield voice actor to voice the keeper and the original RE1 Chris Redfield to play the Keeper. 👏

It was an amazing experience and a dream come true to help work on this project and this shows what a ultimate collaboration between RE channels brings to the table when we all worked together back in October to bring this magic on screen. The fact THIS is the first time we see a Hunter in live action. Impressive CG for a fan film.

It's so cool seeing all the effort that went into this, finally coming out as a finished, polished project. Fucking well done to everyone involved. Hollywood, now has a bar they need to clear for any future RE films/shows.

I don't care that it's 20 minutes long; this video alone is better than most of the live action RE films combined! Definitely worth the wait and hope big studios use this as an example of what a live action RE film should be!

Not only do I adore that this is based on the keepers diary (always felt that file was iconic); but this proves that the og series as a film should feel like a niche horror art project... Not a flashy big budget Hollywood production that caters to modern tropes. This is brilliant.

This is really good. You know the crew cares about accuracy when you see Jill carrying the same shotgun model as in the remake.

It's a terrifying and sad concept of a virus that the person has little to no control, but they latch onto old regular habits while turning slowly. This turned out incredibly well done. It's the atmosphere I've always wanted in a RE film. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.

This was unreal. The care. The passion. Everything about it was better than anything official capcom has ever put out in theaters. I'd love to see more resident evil notes made into short films like this

You just reminded me how Resident Evil story is so rich, i got more hooked than any big budget movie so far. A true faithful adaptation, Capcom needs to hire you guys. Thanks

Came here from The Critical Drinker's channel to check out the short film after yesterday's panel, gotta say the hype from that was real. Played RE1 heaps in my early 20's and absolutely loved the game and this short film, it's really impressive what everyone involved has been able to create here on such a small budget and also how much it resembles the source material despite having to "fill in some blanks". Kudos to everyone for this amazing achievement, I hope this leads to Capcom taking notice and more content from Andy involving the RE universe.

Why couldn't they do this with all the shows and movies. True fans of the source material and it's obvious. Well done!!!!

THE TIME HAS COME!! Enjoy everyone!! This is the final product of a great team working diligently towards the finish line for months on end, before, during, and after the shoot in October. For the first time, it taught me to operate sound equipment, learn how to coordinate certain locations and services for the production, do all sorts of set construction tasks like spacking, painting, sanding, and so many other things. Was a crazy busy shoot week, but well worth it. THE quintessential survival horror diary entry, in the flesh, has arrived. Hope y'all love it and watch it time and time again!!

This is how a RE series should play out. There's the main story, but there are all the other side stories as well. This was an awesome take on one of them. Thank you for all your hard work and loyalty to the source material.

We need a Marvin Branaugh story of how the police station got shut down before Leon and Claire showed up.

This was an AMAZING short! the level of detail portrayed in this film was so faithful to the game. I NEVER imagined "doggy food" meant he ate a dog, i always envisioned him eating the dog's food! But this was an even better glimpse into the breakdown of the Keeper. ALL of you did a fantastic job and proved what passionate fans are capable of doing when given the opportunity. BRAVO

this would make a hell of an intro for a full film

If anyone in Hollywood with a brain saw this they would hire the team behind this short film and give them a big enough budget to make an RE1 movie. This was awesome! Even the layout of the house that leads to that room was the same. I’m extremely impressed.

You have something here. It's like snippets work better in the RE universe rather than long length films screaming for an ending.

Since I was a teen, I always thought the Keeper’s Diary was such a cool mini-story inside the game, and one of my favorite “files”. It really helped to the world building and getting the player into the lore. Thank you for bringing this to a live action. I’m waiting for your next project!

These are the people who should be making resident evil movies. You can feel the passion and respect for the original lore.

The accuracy in this project is palpable in every single detail: it isn't just the beautiful still creepy atmosphere but especially those details like including Safsprin&AquaCure medicines or the Chris' smoking reference. The way you followed every single word from the most iconic serie file is simply amazing. As a mad-hardcore RE lore lover since childhood who's disappointed from any official Live-Action saga stuff,I totally enjoyed this project of yours. My hugest complimenti🩵

This was both a fresh take on Resident Evil and so nostalgic at the same time. Felt like I was back in my childhood experiencing RE1 for the very first time. Amazing work.

This is the BEST adaptation of the chilling moment in the original Resident Evil. Regardless of which character you play, you stumble on the keepers diary, which has the iconic line "itchy tasty". Despite that last bit, which was hilarious, the day to day memos of the keeper is absolutely chilling and I believe that THIS fan film is perfect. Wow. What a win for Biohazard!

Amazing how on a small budget, you managed to capture the essence of RE more than any big Hollywood studio. Awesome work!

For a zombie fan-film adaption, this has so much life. Definitely more alive than any of the formal RE movies. You should all feel so proud. That opening alone gave me wicked goosebumps. The uniqueness of the story and the way you inserted thoughtful little RE franchise staples, is pure awesome. Capcom should seriously fund your work towards a wider release. It's 100x better than anything released before. Also proves that "less is more" for a true cinematic RE experience.

It's incredible how some fans who don't even have the support and budget for a film that they give to the mediocre producers of ALL the Resident Evil films and with the little they have, they managed to make the BEST product so far. and MOST FAITHFUL audiovisual of the saga, my congratulations.

In the 28 year history of the resident evil franchise, their has NEVER been a more faithful, quality, adaptation of the source material than this. Absolutely fantastic work. Will support. 10/10. Been a fan of RE since '96. This is a dream come true. Thank you.

The music in this is PERFECT. I loved the save room theme and Moonlight Sonata during the credits.

Why is this 14 minutes the best live action RE content ever made?

The aqua Cure and Safsprin were a nice touch! And this was MUCH better than any of the mainstream resident evil movies. If only the other directors there cared as much about the game lore than just making "another zombie movie" and slapping on the resident evil name on them. Kudos to a job well done

This masterpiece captures what all those big budget movies and the show failed to capture, you've taken me back to freshman year of high school when I first played the game when it came out all those years ago. You've truly captured the atmosphere of Resident Evil.

I’ve been a Resident Evil fan since I was a child, and this is what I’ve always wanted to see as an adaptation! You all did such an amazing job, AND then you went above and beyond with that teaser at the end! Thank you so much for putting so much love into this.

As a backer, here is my two cents. It was great to finally see this released. Moment to moment it was an excellent Resident Evil adaptation with the budget and time you had. In particular, some of the visuals, specifically the VFX was very impressive; arklay forest, outside the mansion, in the mansion hallways, and espeically the Hunter all looked amazing, and like they stepped straight out of the game. It was a shame the Keeper's room didn't have similar lighting and mood as the rest of the mansion locations though. My favourite moments were "female detective" pacing through the corridors and specifiucally the moment when the door clicks unlocked and she glances up at the door, perfectly staged, lit, designed and performed, that and the shots of the Hunter were amazing, the visuals and the sound design around it were almost flawless. Purely as a piece of entertainment however, I was a little let down. It might just be down to things just starting to ramp up narratively as the film it close to ending, but more specifically I found the performances of the two leads a little stilted and unconvincing in places which led to me struggling to feel absorbed by it moment to moment - mostly the Keeper's performance was good, better than I could do, but certain reactions to things I found him a little amateurish, more specifically when the Keeper was coughing in the infirmary it looked very put on and excessive, for him to not appear coughing that much again. Similarly when female detective coughed and retched seeing the Keeper's corpse was great, but for her to immediately have gotten over it in the next shot when she looks at the typewriter was a little jarring, a bit of "disgust" cohesion between those two shots would have helped sell it much better. I also thought some of the sound design choices were a little off, this might just be down to budgeting, but certain sound effects took me out of the expereinces, such as the RE menu sounds on the computer felt almost like they were placed on top of everything else in the sound scape, perhaps implimented better they would have worked, also there was something about the footstep sounds in that scene that made them really stand out to me, it was odd as all the the sound design around the Hunter in the same scene is possibly the best it in the whole film. There was also a moment where the Keeper talks about flesh dropping off his arm that used a very familiar sound effect I feel like I've heard 1000 times before, reminding me of a comedic sound effect used in The SImpsons or Futurama. As an RE fan however, I think you did an excellent job in capturing the overall vibe, tone, visual style and lingering sense of dread found in early RE games, particualry RE1 remake. The attention to detail in each scene was impressive and other than a few things that didn't quite line up narratively to my own specific head canon of the Keepers Diary document, you managed to bring to screen pretty much what I imagine when reading it myself. Sorry if this was a little nit-picky, but I wanted to put down for you broadly what I liked, and what jumped out to me as issues. Overall I wish I felt more engaged by it moment to moment as a piece of narrative entertainment, but as a Resident Evil adaptation created by fans with relatively small time and budget, this is the most faithful and diligent live action thing commited to the screen probably since a handful of Sienna Guillory's scenes in RE Apocolypse.

They made an awesome and faithful RE film with little budget. Even basing it on one of the most famous RE journal entries! Why can’t Hollywood get it right?!

The Hunter was always my favorite non zombie enemy, He demands so much respect and you are actually scared to lose your life when you see one of these walking around. the licker is alright, but the Hunter says it all within the name. So glad you guys put a spotlight on them. BIG PROPS
