Elles and Lee’s friendship is so annoying and toxic

lee and elle acting like you can’t be friends if you’re not with each other 100% of the time is really toxic and immature

the way lee and noah never acted like brothers throughout the entire trilogy

The fact that Elle can cry and lay on Marco’s shoulder and express her emotions to him instead of her boyfriend already speaks volumes.

Lee had more chemistry with that Berkeley guy than he ever had with Rachel in all 3 movies.

I literally refuse to believe that elle somehow got into Harvard, berkley AND usc, also her character development is non existant

The worst part about this trilogy is that they’re trying to make toxic relationships acceptable. To have rules within a friendship I mean really? That’s so immature and just reflects insecurity

It's crazy that in the 6 yr time jump they are all wearing business suits at the carnival/fair. If they graduated at 18, then they would at most be 24. Ummm adults can wear casual clothes too. It's funny how in every teen movie and show when there's a time jump the characters are always dressed as professional businessmen.

It would have made more sense if Lee was like in love with Elle, like his reaction would still be childish af but it would make him more sympathetic- it would’ve given some depth to his characters emotion but nah toxic bestie won

Me and my bestie made a drinking game out of this movie: 1 shot when Elle cries. 1 shot when Noah is a crappy bf. 1 shot when Lee is the toxic best friend. We ended up throwing up :)

I feel like Noah had every right to be mad like Elle cheated on him in front of the world with Marco AND KEPT HIM AROUND! If I were in that position I would 100% be mad. He should have broken up with her like you all have so much trust issues, be done with it already! I don't know how the abusive, volatile boyfriend became one of my favorites along with Rachel and Chloe lol

LEE AND ELLES FRIENDSHIP MUST END. Lee makes Elle feel bad about every decision she's made, like he has a say. And he treats Elle like an object saying "she's the only thing I have that you didn't" or something like that. Lee is just to comfortable proving the rich spoiled boy stereotypes. Also: Lee is the master of manipulation, whether its from tears, arguing, victimization, ECT.

elle ending up with chloe would’ve made up for this entire franchise

When Lee runs away after realizing Elle is going to Harvard had me steeeeeamed. Up til that point he thought she was waitlisted at both schools, which means she could possibly not get in to either one! He should have been stoked that she got into a damn Ivy league school at all!

I love how in every movie commentary of this movie people check the time and are horrified to find that they are only half way through 😭😭😭

The fact that lee and Elle’s friendship is literally based on a list and a rule book😶

The way Jacob lets his accent slip so much in this movie is hilarious to me because I know he can do a fantastic American accent if her wanted to. Because of Euphoria. Homie hates this trilogy like the rest of us

Can we talk about how Marcos only purpose in this movie was to get led on and his heart broken by Elle… ONCE again😀

The only adult/growth moment moment in this movie was Noah realizing that Elle was making decisions for everyone but herself and breaking up with her….but then he came back at the end 🤦🏾‍♀️ like why

This movie is so terrible because I don’t like ANY of the characters Elle is so worried about pleasing everyone that she actually hurts everyone by not being able to set boundaries or communicate clearly Marco is trying to interfere in an existing relationship and would make me feel terrible if I were Elle because he would make me question if the friendship only existed because he had romantic feelings Lee is extremely childish and the growth he had in the precious movies of being like “maybe these rules are dumb” was completely undone. Noah has shown in the previous movies to be excessively violent, controlling, and jealous. He’s somehow my favorite character though because he had minimal character growth. Even side characters frustrate me. The kids’ families never set boundaries or try to actually parent. Lee’s girlfriend has spent so much time with these toxic people when she’s worth more. Chloe encourages and supports these toxic people when they need some honesty. The OMG girls are just stereotypical bf annoying negative representations of femininity. That one guy sexually harassed Elle and has NEVER had any repercussions.

Only thing i love about this movie is that Elle finally chose herself over those annoying brothers

I met Taylor “Marco” at my job today and he was such a sweetheart, I wanted to ask him if he actually likes these movies but I didn’t wanna be rude 😂😂

Lee is so childish and toxic he frll expects elle to follow him wherever he goes and for everything to stay the same as when they were 5

I absolutely hate Lee. People blame the list for the conflicts in the movies, but they’re all his doing. He’s childish and a very toxic, manipulative friend. Elle always feels like she has to lie or soften the truth because she’s always had to walk on eggshells so her best friend doesn’t cut her off. Down to her picking a university to go to, which is a decision she has to make that only involves her and her future, he has to make it about himself. I don’t really care that much about the movie but his character pisses me off💀

The kissing booth movies follow a super standard teen romcom outline. First movie sets up the story. Second one another love interest is introduced, she picked the og guy. Third movie is deciding between her dream college and the school her boyfriend is going to but eventually picked a different one all together (all Ivy League of course). TATBILB is the same

The last three videos I watched were commentaries of this movie, now a fourth, thank you queen and I’m sorry you had to go through this.

The one thing I like about these movies is the fact that the friendship between Elle and Lee (even though really toxic) stays a friendship and never turns romantic. Most movies and series would have done that. It is nice to see a friendship between a guy and a girl. Even though it was done badly!
