LA Clippers he said he doesn’t care about tanking after all star break after the season is wrapped up and the team seems to be going nowhere which is the situation the Knicks have found themselves in. Stephen a smith opposes the process because it consisted of the 76ers tanking whole seasons and losing multiple years on purpose.

kefkapalazzo1 but the draft odds changed to where the 3 worst teams in the league have the SAME odds of getting the 1st overall pick. We still the second worst record in the league and are in no danger of leaving the bottom 3. All these clowns upset over nothing. I guess they forgot about that 18 game losing streak we just had. not to mention if they wind up trading for lottery picks somehow prior to the draft or on draft day, bc they want 2 prospects. It shifts which teams get each lottery pick, and which assets the knicks need to move "on draft day" for those 1-10 picks, they didnt get......and depending......on who gets what the knicks wanted.......that team may not want any of what the "fire sale" roster is left.......which is why winning may help bc they can sell knox or robinson 2 good young players "if its what the GM" actually wants to do. Im not saying its smart. Im just trying to figure out the power play in all this. Considering their situation

@@merica3493 So before this year, worst team had like a 25% then 2nd had like 18% or so. Now because of tanking this is the first year in which top 3 teams get the same odds (14%) but obviously depending on which of the top 3 worst team you are, the more you can drop. Example: Worst record cannot drop more than to 5th place, 2nd worst record cannot drop pass 6th place, etc. That is how i understand it to be this year. Its a new format.

Remember, it took the Warriors 5 seasons to win the title after they drafted Steph and their original core were all draft picks.

as long as the knicks remain a bottom 3 seed team then their chances of zion remain the same. (as well as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th pick) fortunately for the knicks the 4th worst team has 4 more wins. stephen a you should instead take this time give a more in depth take on trier, DSJ, and mitchel robinson. idk about anyone else here but boy am i impressed in how robinson is doing. dude is third in the entire nba in blocks and he is only averaging 18 minutes a game. her per 36 stats 12.8 ppg 10rpg and 4.6 bpg. i think jordan has been a huge help for him

Sure winning a couple games means we get further and further away from Zion/RJ but we need to develop a winning culture and not have our young guys get accustomed to losing. They need to develop that hunger and drive to be the underdogs and still beat the best teams in the league. Yeah winning games will be bad in terms of what our draft pick will be, but I don't want our guys to have no fight in them. We need to be attractive for FA's even while we're losing

The Knicks have to pass Chicago to have their draft odds for the number 1 pick change. That means they still need to win 4 more games even if Chicago loses out. Chicago still plays Atlanta twice, Phoenix once, and the New York twice. In other words, the Knicks have this locked up.
