For further detail - The 'Jimmyskip' (also known as Jimmy Jump) is dependant on the game's framerate. At higher framerates the technique is significantly easier and more consistent, whereas lower framerates make it either massively inconsistent, or even impossible. This primarily impacts the console versions of the game, which are limited to 60fps (which impacts Switch and PS4/5 versions alike) so though the jumps are possible on console, they're incredibly difficult and also almost impossible to get the maximum boosted height on. As none of the PC releases (Steam 1.0, 1.1.0, 1.1.2, GOG) feature VSync or any framerate caps, the game can run at rates of over 600fps, which makes the input window for the jumps significantly more lenient. Happy jumping all
This might explain some things. I have the PS4 version, and if I enter a particularly large area on the map, and there are a lot of enemies, the game will start to slow down slightly. Character animations, and movements are just slightly delayed, and the framerate looks a little choppy. However, things start to look smooth again once I clear the area of enemies.
i wasnt able to figure out where all the shards of the mirror were and I had been using that sword to clear gaps ever since i got it so i was able to clear that one gap and get the boots early as well. i wasnt aware that it wasnt the intended way to get across until watching this video. it actually reminded me that I should probably go back to that castle area and find all of the mirror shards. lol
@@lexbeltran1354Nope. That got patched out some days ago. Last patch released yesterday, I think, that fixed the incorrect bullet and injection count bug that happened with the previous update. Some other minor improvements were made in framerate in larger rooms where the frames dipped, those drops are still there, however they aren't as bad as before. Happy hunting! 😎👍
You can depatch the game to use the glitch, alternatively farm the Nycrux (if you check the description I have an early farming method). It's the only two options I know of unfortunately. Hope this helped you!
@@allyoucando8486 the console versions of the game have yet to receive the 1.10 or 1.12 patch, however the Steam version the Nycrux dupe exploit is ~fully~ fixed and is impossible to replicate with current knowledge
●On the Second big alien looking boss walking on all 4s, USE the Electric bomb 2 or 3 times in a row and you can freeze glitch and still be able to attack it😂 i took a video of it
Yeah, I forgot to add in the video that this skip is FPS dependant which means PC players will have a much easier time doing this than console players (higher fps = easier to execute). I played on PC (on a 60 hz monitor initially) which made the skip very difficult to perform. If you're on a console try waiting for the hit animation to end and then spam the jump button a few times while keeping your eyes on the screen. If you see any hint of a second jump happening you need to hold your button or you wont gain any height. Aside from that I've heard that it's easier to time if you use the charge attack with some weapons, haven't tried it myself though.
