1. I forgot to mention how cool it is seeing all of the classic Mario tie-ins in these old Zelda titles. I'm glad that Nintendo kept the likeness of the Goombas, Yoshi, etc., in this remake. 2. My audio's sounded different in the last couple of videos. I'm not sure what's going on with my mic setup, but I'll try to figure it out for the next video.

I played Link’s Awakening for the very first time on the Switch and really enjoyed it. For me, I really enjoyed the length of the game which was perfect. I’m pretty sure that I used bomb arrows or maybe I’m confusing with Tears of the Kingdom 🤣

It really was a great length! And my complaint about a few similar dungeons is quickly forgotten once you get to dungeons 7 and 8, because those have fresh, new mechanics. It's remarkable that such an old game (1993) has such a solid foundation.

Its a decent remaster, I don’t plan on ever playing it again. The story is the weakest point for me. People over blow how “fantastic” it is 😂

Agree on people blowing it out of proportion, but I could say the same for most video games. I think it's a good fit for this kind of game, and it's also complimented by the graphical style (not to take it too seriously!).

Great remake of a Zelda game I did not play until way later. Loved the look of it and I found this way less cryptic as well. Especially compared to the 2 Oracle games. Dungeon 6 music is superb. Great review, I look forward to your thoughts on the other Zelda games as you play them.

Thank you! I like hearing that you enjoyed this game. It's always interesting getting your opinions on modern versions of the classic games, because you're so well-versed in what the classics offered. I'm looking forward to the Oracle games! I'm just taking a short break from Zelda after playing ALTTP and this one back-to-back.

The color dungeon was added in the DX version for GBC. It was not added for this remaster.

The phone better not be like peppy in Starfucks Adevntures "You're supposed to go here" "Yeah I fucking am there but there's this particular specific puzzle that I can't do" "do a barrel roll" "I can't"

It's a bit like that, but the game's not too complicated overall. The remake includes a journal with your story progress and hints given to you by an owl; the map is quite detailed; and progression is fairly logical. It's only the odd quest (to progress the game) that doesn't offer enough help.

i notice your audio sound a little echoy then your other videos for some reason. its not a huge deal for me just something i noticed. but yeah i liked the original game and this remake did look pretty good but just never got around to buying it at a decent price point.

Yeah, this is one that you'll have to wait to buy second-hand directly from someone else. $40 would be a very fair price for it. (Will we see Switch games drop even lower when Switch 2 releases? Probably not.)

Gah, sorry guys. I'll record differently next time if I can't fix the issue. It's like my phone hasn't been using my plugged-in mic even though I see it working (lighting up). The result has been really quiet recordings and me needing to bump the gain a ton.
