One of my favourite stories I grew up with was 'The Little Mermaid'. I can honestly say this is one of THE best performances I have ever found on You Tube. By the way I am disabled with two artificial legs...and a trained singer. So you can kind of see why the little mermaid has always been very special to me. I'm so glad I found this!
lunar moth I have a stagecraft class.... it’s not that difficult to make sweet props and sets especially if you have a lot of good painters in the class
sadie hamblin yea but all those materials are really expensive, especially if you consider how much it must have cost to make/buy those costumes and lights
Moonlight Productions She’s currently at Ithica for musical theatre. You can see her featured in the “open audition video” once on this island revival released.
That Ursula doesn't need Ariel's voice. She has got some pipes on her man. Wow. Also, I hope that Ursula, Sebastian, and Eric went on to preforming arts school because I think we probably see all of them on broadway at some point. Also, is it possible to fall in love with someones voice because God damn that Eric got me fall head over heels.
I feel like Ursula should have been purples and blues and blacks as well as the eels like the movie, the green was more spider that squid but their performance was still amazing, good job 👏

I LOVE IT!!! The little mermaid was like my favorite princess movie and all of these actors really put in their all in this performance!!! I love how they each brought something new but still kept the original character intact, LOVE IT!!! also, anyone else catch NEMO AND DORY?!?
Loved Ursula so much!! Her tentacles are so high up on her body though compared to the broadway version 😂. Other than that, she did honestly exceptional. Ursula has always been my favorite villain in Disney with her strong attitude and powerful voice, and this portrayal of her lived up perfectly to my hopes. Loved how she raised her tentacles up like the broadway version though. That part just shows how truly big Ursula really is, and it also reflects on her personality.
Excellent production! Not just for a high school, but in general. Everyone was on their 'A' game. I mean EVERYONE, including the orchestra. There really wasn't a weak link in the show. The sets/scenery were magnificent, and the storm at sea sequence, in particular, was just a marvel! I saw the original Broadway production nearly ten years ago, and though this is slightly different (they must've retooled it after it closed), it took me back to that time. That's how professional this production looked/sounded. Everyone involved should be so proud! Kudos!
Okay but can we talk about shes in love number? Omg it was so beautiful and the harmonies , choreography and even flounders solo! I love the mer-sisters: they were all great and had that natural bond. I loved it all!
@@jasminnemcdonald94A yeah he’s a male character but girls tend to participate more so often girls will play male characters also i feel like of the characters to gender bend, the fish is probably the easiest lol

cumberland valley high school presents “the little mermaid” in their theatre production. this production is definitely stronger than some of the other “little mermaid” high school products here. the sets are detailed and are visually exquisite, especially the ship (its looks huge). the costumes are colorful and i like that each mersister represents a different color. i can only wish that ariel’s wig had been brushed once more. all the actors do a fine job, especially in a high school setting. ursula (sushma saha) is a highlight in this production. and the rest of the cast gives a bright and energetic performance!
I'm so glad I finally found a production of this. The Little Mermaid is my favourite Disney movie of all time, and this production is incredible! The casting is amazing, the sets and costumes are gorgeous, and I'm so happy I watched this. ❤️
I’m so happy I found this! My school is doing The Little Mermaid and I’m so excited to try out. I’d love to get Flotsam or Jetsam cuz I love singing villainish songs, but my acting is a bit rusty so I’m a little worried😬 But the girls who played them in this were fabulous.
Wow! Ursula steals this show! They are phenomenal! Better than some of the professionals I've seen. I hope they're on Broadway! Their voice is fantastic, and they can act! Edited to put in preferred pronouns.
I stand with WADA Yeah, she was really helpful. Had been training with them for months before the rest of the cast got them to make sure that no one was hurt during the rehearsal process and throughout the shows. I think the best part though was the foot massages that we could sign up for so that we’d be able to safely, and comfortably do so many shows.
Ok... so I am so excited that this HS is only about an hour from me. I will have to make it a point to go see their shows. :) This was good. But can we talk about the awkward hug between Ariel and Triton??? LOL
Rebecca Harper Hi Rebecca! Tickets just went on sale today! www.cvmusical.com The show is called “Nice Work If You Can Get It” it runs in April, and we’d love to have you there! I’m playing the lead Jimmy, and also played Chef Louis in this prod. Of Little Mermaid! If you have any questions feel free to reply and ask!
Is it weird that whenever I watch any plays I wonder what the others are doing backstage. What I did my play I played a prisoner in The Lady Pirates of Captain Bree and help people get costumes, helping get them on and i did talked to the people I knew. I think all of this turned out so well but I just can't stop wondering what everyone did backstage.
My middle to senior school recently did this, it was amazing, just like this. So glad I can watch this it’s so much like the one my school did I think they used the same script😍
wow your school is so so so lucky!! our production of the little mermaid has basically a zero dollar budget☹️ little to no money goes to the theatre program. i hope our production is still good though 🤞🏻🤞🏻(it’s next week)
@@prestonpratali5509 Is that some sort of ‘Theatre Rule’? I’ve done auditions for TV shows with a one day notice, does that mean they aren’t auditions?
Finally a good Ariel! She is amazing! My only note would be that sometimes she sticks with the rhythms too much instead of just letting it flow freely!
Perfect the artists singers, specially Ursula, but, too much perfect the orchestra. Greetings, blessings and successes from Mexico and, congratulations to each and every one of the cast and production. (Januaty 27th. of 2023 at 20:15 Hrs.)
Oh, my. Absolutely stunning beginning and lighting. This Ariel almost sounds too old, though, compared to the movie voicing. But the acting is beautiful.
I love how I could be doing anything but I'm watching this lol it's so good highschool really?? I can't even sing and I know that that is amazing for highschool!!
