They all sound amazing and I didn't know they did the stage musical in other countries, so that was a nice surprise to hear the Dutch, Flemish, Hebrew and Brazilian Portuguese ones! And also interesting how Auil'i Cravalho and Halle Bailey's versions are in the same key and they both have that same modulation when hitting the long note, just like in the stage musical.
When u count the seconds for how long they hold the note without taking a breath, 11 and 12 seconds is the highest some of them go. Halle went a total of 15 which they used in the trailer, but in the movie/soundtrack she holds it for 12. Either way hers is my fav she really ate with her emotions, delivery, and chops.
Tbf, holding the note longer doesnt make it better. And I guarantee the others could do that if they want, esp musical theater actresses like Sierra Boggess. But they probably chose to stick to the original version, rather than holding the note longer than needed.
@@Enjoy-lq6wz doesn't change the fact I feel Halle's version and voice was my fav and stood out. She bought somn different to the table with her Ariel.

My 5 favourite Ariels in order 1) Jodi Benson (duh🙄) 2) Sierra Boggess 3) Halle Bailey 4) Tessa Van Tol 5) Shion Tanihura Honourable Mentions: Auli'i Cravalho, Sara Bareilles, Leanza Cornett (RIP) and Lea Michele
Jodi Leanza and Halle where the only ones that sounded good it gave that feeling of a mermaid singing the others sound like middle age woman at the start of midlife crisis
Could you please not put down other people just to prop up your favorites? I think they all did a wonderful job (if they were not all qualified singers, they would not be in this video) and it is not fair to spread hate just because you prefer others. For example, I think Sierra did an exceptionally great job (she originated the role of the little mermaid on broadway :).
