It's funny how this trailer barely shows the characters people dislike, while it starts with Durin, one of the characters people actually liked. Nori got one scene, and even then, we only see a shadow of her. Bronwyn and Miriel have no scenes at all, if I'm not mistaken. They try everything to make us like the trailer.

Durin is a fine character when judged as a person. Seems like a nice guy. But he is woefully out of place in his role as the prince and heir of the greatest dwarven realm. I expect someone with the gravitas of a Sumerian god-king, but this Durin is just... some dopey guy. He strikes me as more of a grocer than a prince.

@@Easttowest45 Yeah Durin is a fun and entertaining character, but he's right out of Warhammer or Warcraft. They saw Gimli in Jackson's trilogy and they thought that's what dwarves in Middle Earth are. No. That's what the elves say dwarves are. Tolkien's dwarves are warrior-poets, grave lords of the mountain halls. They aren't entertaining berserkers who make two jokes per word. This kind of dwarf was ok for the Hobbit because they are vagabonds, but Prince Durin? The people who wrote that character never read one word of Tolkien's works.

I thought the same but I think Galadriel will get banished. She has already a shit reputation among Elves in this show so it checks out. And Sauron/Annatar will present as a god sent from Valinor to Celebrimbor. This teaser alludes to that in 0:36 I don't know what happens first though... Will Galadriel warn her fellow counterparts first or Annatar will get to Eregion before she warns them? But of course I'll say that this friction plot-wise shouldn't have to exist in the first place if the showrunners didn't fucked up the forging of the elves rings in the first season. That's the worst. Now we have to assume Celebrimbor and company are really that dumb to believe Hallbrand when Galadriel is warning them of the deceit.

But my theory is the reason they keep renewing it despite the terrible reviews and low viewer count is that Amazon can just use it as a massive tax write off because of the monetary losses I don’t know if the taxes write off would be enough to off set the negatives but if you have any thoughts on this let me know
