The Lore and Recap of Tsukihime Remake 10 - Ciel's True Ending

Dang, what a ride this ending was. Arc's hatred was so massive here that it almost made me forget that in a manga, she got drunk and hugged Ciel's butt. (Manga's name is Take Moon btw.)

I do hope Satsuki finally gets her route in the next game. Even if she does become a vampire, I can only hope that she maintains her human conscience, i.e. her human heart, while the spell called Sanctuary from Castlevania: Portrait Of Ruin can be used on Satsuki to return her back to being a human. Even if she doesn't become a vampire, I can only hope that Noel becomes a proper vampire while maintaining her adult form. Aside from that, they should include another new character named Yuki. Yuki will be similar to Shiki Ryougi, but a lot more like Lady Snowblood, since Yuki will not only be a demon hunter from a demon hunting family, she will also be Shiki's biological sister from the Nanaya family. In Yuki's case, she will also be a survivor of the Nanaya massacre. The previous head of the Nanaya family predicted that if anything were to happen to the family, including Shiki, then Yuki herself will not only be the next heir, but also raised as a failsafe and take revenge by attempting to kill the Tohno family for killing her own family and for brainwashing Shiki Nanaya.

Nasu really did go balls the walls with the true ending here. All in all, a great recap. Roa ended up getting more development in this route than in Arcueid's when you fight him. He ended up more interesting in the remake than the original.

Takeuchi: nasu what do we add to the story? Nasu:GIANT WOMEN. Takeuchi: brilliant. I'll add that again.

Myself I feel kinda bad for Arcueid having to fight Ciel When she doesn't have to worry about protecting anyone, there's a terrifying proposition. After getting to enjoy the remake I think the only change I would really want is to not have to wait for the far side DLC's. Well that and an english version lol. Awesome job keep the great content coming

When I saw Red Arcueid’s luminescent body in Melty Blood, I thought she was trying to be an imitation white titan.

I just wanna say that you're doing a service to the Tsukihime part of the Nasuverse fandom. Maybe if the sequel sells well, we might get that FGO x Tsukihime crossover.

Got to respect Shiki level of forgiveness because there's no way a normal person would forgive Arcueid for doing all of that to Ciel.

This battle lives up to Arc being the strongest tsukihime character and Ciel being no slouch as a heroine

Great recap video,this true ending and it's final fight were really spectacular and it made me feel excited for the re:make of the far side routes (if only they get official releases outside Japan because having them with other languages outside an english one is something outright impossible)

This is my first time knowing about tsukihime and all I can say if that you did a great job making these videos and making sure people that don’t know Japanese still be able to enjoy this amazing Visual novel thanks for your hard work and the visual novel is wonderful I personally really like this ending though I am still a big fan of the Arcueids route even though it wasn’t a good; happy one kinda reminds me of the fate route from fate stay night

Doing gods work with these videos my man. As a fan who loves the story, can't read japanese, doesn't have the time to play or more importantly, has the mediums to buy them, these videos are a blessing. Time went flying wathing them and if the Far Side routes come in the future I hope you cover them. That said! A fun fact, did you know that sister that Roa mentioned, the one that that obtained demonhood, is actually Kiara from Fate? Well, more exactly, the Kiara from Tsukihime world. She's actually a member of the Burial Agency.

My complaints of the normal end still stand for the True. Only this time, the overreactions were far more extreme and world threatening…..and it all still could have been resolved peacefully, if only Shiki hadn’t resorted to violence. While it is a spectacular ending, it still feels overblown and unnecessary which does sour the experience for me. Not going to lie, while the remake has been a great improvement on many things, Roa getting this sympathetic treatment doesn’t sit right with me. The man is an absolute monster, and essentially the Tsukihime version of Zouken so this ending where he gets such appreciation doesn’t sit well with me. On top of that, while Ciel’s route has greatly and necessarily expanded on Ciel herself and further expanded upon previously under explored aspects of Arcueid, it still feels like a extremely weird and uncomfortable place to leave both Ciel and Arcueid’s characters. We have gotten glimpses of Ciel’s more Ruthless side, but it always either been glossed over or played for tragedy, which feels odd leaving it under-utilised like that. I get the feeling that Satsuki route is where we’ll see Ciel in a much less positive light. As for Arcueid, The far side routes are nigh unrelated to Arcueid, so logically this would be the end of her character for the remake. Which is odd having the main heroine end her time as an antagonist, especially when there are still unsettled issues regarding her. Shiki’s monologue before the final blow, the Celestial Egg, what Roa’s ritual even does, Arcueid true nature and her mysterious speech in the prologue about what ifs and the dream at the start of the 2nd day are all unresolved. There has got to be something more to Arcueid’s story, so while the ending doesn’t sit right with me, I’m eagerly awaiting what comes next. All in all, I truly feel this remake is worthy of the original and while I have my grumblings over certain plot points, I can’t wait for part 2 to be released.

I just binge-watched the Ciel route and oh boy, here are my thoughts: Arcueid route was lean, mean, and sexy. I did not care much about the romance but the lore and plot were straightforward and fun. I liked Arcueid as a character and I was satisfied. But... Ciel's route has so much backstory, lore, magic information, falling in love, psychological craziness, etc. I personally dislike the romance in this one and the "Apocalyptic break-up" but I cannot deny that Nasu's explanations, detailed concepts, and resolutions are just mouthwatering. All characters had a purpose and I even liked Roa in this one. Best commentary by Dai!

Ciel Calvaria Galgalim: Calvaria's Star (カルヴァリアの星カルヴァリア・ガルガリン?): It is on the same level as Excalibur An angelic wheel deployed in the stratosphere, blazing with focused sunlight. A reflector created with magecraft. The 50km long, 10km wide blade of light beaming towards the surface can be compared to an aurora possessing mass, or a guillotine of light. It is High Thaumaturgy that Ciel came up with after defeating the Ancestor who was her sword mentor; apparently she uses his Idea Blood to initiate it. After firing at full power against Arcueid the remaining magical energy was used to fire one last shot, and it was this move that turned the tables in the endgame. It takes 3 minutes to deploy which is the spell's main disadvantage

I'm hyped for the other routes tho

And though I’m not a fan of Nasuverse anymore, I decided to support your channel for several months to show my appreciation. P.S. Arcueid wearing a long skirt and high-heeled shoes, even if for a short time ^_^

Now I kind of want to see a fight between Giant Arcueid and The Umbral Star's White Titan. A genuine apocalyptic battle.

There's so many unanswered questions in this game that it is interesting as it can be used for future stories. I do wish the other girls had routes too, but this was an interesting story and I hope we get a anime adaptation of this remake

Man I was really afraid he'd die in this ending as well, thinking some sort of an inevitable butterfly effect happening, glad I was wrong and the story wrapped up on a good note, also I just noticed that Ciel's battle suit kind of resembles Mash's

Roa, the guy obsessed with living forever, using up his remaining life energy to help Shiki save Arc makes no sense to me. Yeah, he was infatuated with her once but his personality and being changed. The only thing constant was his desire to live forever.

Just finished binge watching all your Tsukihime Remake videos... honestly I wanna see an anime adaptation by Ufotable so badly just so I can the action in glorious movie budget, but Im so conflicted by the two routes that I wanted to be adapted..... Ciel's true ending is definitely the best out of the 3 endings available(?) but I also want the anime to focus on Arcuied and Shiki's relationship (especially since she's the main girl of the series) but her route is the most basic and straight forward compared to Ciel's route.... AHHHHHHHHGHHHHH... NASU HAREM ENDING WHEN??!!! Anyways great video, cant wait for your next FGO lore video.

As much as I love the Arcueid route. Should Ufotable actually animate a Tsukihime anime remake they should go with Ciel’s True Ending. From following all of these videos it has everything that would make it grand. All of the main characters are happy (except Arcueid), it would take full advantage of how different the remake is, it would probably stand on par with Fate/Zero for great animation and story at the same time. It’s almost too perfect for them to not do it. But that’s just a pipe dream. On a side note: I hope that Dr. Arach, and Goto Saiki have bigger roles in the far side routes when those release. Heck, hopefully we might get more answers on Arach herself.

A white giant figure similar to Altera's in Extella? Either there's a connection here or Nasu just thinks that's cool. Probably the latter. I must say, I'm a little salty at the fact that Ciel gets this amazing battle spectacle of a rework for her route and Arc's is more like a remaster in comparison. In the other hand, I can totally see why since in the original Ciel's was the one that needed help the most, at least on my opinion. Overall I gotta say I'm extremely satisfied with the remake (barring the whole no Far Side or english version). I wouldn't say it replaces the original but that might just be my nostalgia speaking. Now this makes me wonder how the Far Side routes will go, will it be more like Arc's in that it's mostly a remaster or like Ciel in that it gets a lot flashier? Only time will tell. (And hopefully in less than a wait than it took for this two routes to come out) Dai, just hats off my man, you're out here looking out for us western fans that Nasu likes to ignore so much. If it wasn't for this series I probably wouldn't have experience till a fan translation was out (and since it's been quite a wait for Mahoyo, I imagine I'd have a similar wait time). And speaking of that, I look forward to your coverage on Mahoyo and other future videos to come
