Thought the same. Perhaps that "drug" (or whatever that purple stuff is) will make it worse or she'll give in to it but to me it seemed like her mentality slowly broke down, watching good times fade, realizing zhauns dark situation and vi beginning to reject her. I think in one of the trailers vi told jinx she would always protect her when they were younger and I guess jinx slowly broke down after being left behind by her sister. Living in zhaun must be hard as well. Barely holding on and enjoying the little happiness they got. She definitely just broke, its too much for a child to handle. Ofc thats all assumption. Im really excited to watch the series and get to know jinx's past.
I agree with this, I was also thinking that maybe the reason why she goes insane is maybe Silco or even the corrupted gang members took advantage of her falling out with Vi and her trauma and tested some of the purple drug on her, maybe promising that her trauma will go away
Im really intrigued by the different iterations of jinx showing signs of insanity at different ages, while seeming perfectly sane in the next scene, where she looks older. I could imagine that perhaps jinx's final mental breakdown was under influence or atleast when in contact with that "purple drug". I would argue that jinx isn't actually insane, but because the drug triggers all her traumas and breakdowns again, she just goes insane to be safe from the pain until the memories and the agony wear off. This is of course only speculation, but I think it makes sense to a degree, especially since impressions (like the "high" of the drug or maybe just the taste or smell) are very strongly linked to memories. (Say the smell of wax candles makes you think of Christmas, or the song "..." always makes you think of that book you read) its just speculation, but I found it a fun idea.
@@theb_man1234 I thought about the drug potentially being the sort of trigger for her insanity, bringing back all the pain and traumas again and making her break again, resulting in her being insane until she is safe from the pain. Idk how the drug works, but I believe that impressions as strong as a drug high could definitely be a trigger for remembering/bringing back things you meant to keep out of your mind for your own good.
Ekko was a must in this series, his relationship with jinx has been canon since release, IIRC he has a dialogue saying he was fell in love with her before he realized how crazy she was
Incorrect. There is no canon relationship with them two, or even a note of him being in love with her. He just says he thought she (and vi) were cool before she went crazy.
@@flexforthetube you should look into their LoR interactions, they’re pretty interesting, and they actually reference a little detail which was present in the first arcane trailer
@@flexforthetube it was said since release that he was a member of the same gang as vi and jinx, as they all had roman numerals marking them, vi's was... VI, jinx's was X and ekko's was XII, as written in his "bat", also, to quote exactly what he says to jinx "I had a crush… until you started talking to the gun.", meaning, yes, they were in the same gang and he had a crush on her, also, just to clarify, by relationship i didn't mean they were boybfriend and girlfriend but to say they were connected and not just two random people from zaun
@@happypepper9326 the wall he is protecting does not have a picture of her, its a picture of ekko's buddy, who was killed by a large lad with a tophat, there is a whole comic about him rewinding more than 300 times trying to reach the spot where he was being killed and ultimately, he failed, that wall oainting is one of the only things ekko has to remember him, alognside his googles, which also are there
I like how the Vi, and Jinx pillow fight scene seems innocent at first, but as it fades into the present, it becomes Vi, and Jinx arguing, leading to Vi punching Jinx
@@imfunkingivincible886 After thinking about it, yeah she definitely pushed him, but when i think of older sibling punching their younger sibling, i think of that one episode of Arthur where he punches DW, and i can't stop imagining that Scenario with Vi, and Jinx-
I love the shots where her younger and older version are together. It's just so emotional, beautiful. Also those shots made me realize how badass Jinx is when she's not crazy. She just looks so determined. And that's intimidating.
This isn't an example of good work ethic. Work ethic pertains to unnecessary actions of courtesy done even if it inconveniences the doer. In the space of youtube content creators, especially with necrit's type of content, being first is a must which is analogous to journalism due to the fact that he exposes/investigates implicitly conveyed information which can be done and replicated by other content creators. Being first confirms the legitimacy that you didn't copy it from someone else's work. This isn't work ethic.
After I heard ekko's interaction in lor calling jinx "powder" I was 100% sure he'd be in arcane. it is nice to get confirmation, and he looks like a pretty good friend of jinx. Very excited
The scenes with adult Jinx and young Jinx together are so powerful to me. I’m a victim of childhood trauma and when I see a photo of myself before the trauma, I often feel a sense of guilt. I feel like I failed to protect the girl in the picture. When I see Jinx standing behind her childhood self daring the wardens to lay a finger on the innocent she once was, I feel that.
Fiddlestick's line as he references a pivotal moment in Jinx's life ; "Jinx!!! All your fault! ALL YOUR FAULT!" We ask "What did Jinx do?" We're finally getting answers.
@@seyinisafakename4904 I mean, you Can, just pick Tahm Kench, Anivia or bard, for Anivia, just wall off your teammate into the enemy, for Bard, aim your ult so that you trap your teammate alone in the middle of a group of enemies, and for Tahm, just ult a squishy teammate, jump into the middle of the enemy, spit them at the enemy, then gtfo, you can do something similar with ryze, but at this point, almost everyone has learned never to trust a ryze ult if you aren't in a call with them.
Watching this after finishing Arcane is sooo funny because of how Necrit has accurately guessed a lot of points while at the same time got some wrong, especially that one about Mylo 😂
@@CM_Kha yeah, Jinx is how people started to call her when she started to bring misfortune in Piltover (I believe it was the very beginning of her lore when she came out)
I just like how consistent the "Jinx got crazy from the drug" theory was before the release of the show. This surely aged like milk. The clues that Jinx's mental state stemmed from trauma and not from drugs are right in this music video. The words too. "Everybody wants to be my enemy". The world is against Jinx, including Vi, her own family. And the focus of this music video is on young Jinx and not adult Jinx. The trauma started already then.
I was one of the people that was like 'wouldn't the lore be wrong', but here's the thing: would we rather having the sorta age match up exactly, or do we want ekko being dang iconic with everyone else. Moore Ekko pleaaaase!
@@sergeen2314 it was established in the lore long before Arcane that Ekko is aging at a slower pace due to all the timetravel he does. He should be the same age as Jinx, so around 17-18 years of age but has the appearance of a 14-year-old.
15:32 As someone that has felt like what she looks like she's feeling, she's not hitting her head to get rid of a memory, but rather to silence a voice.
Seen this video pop up, watched it and was like “Wonder when necrits gonna make a video one this?”, turns out itd be exactly 6 minutes after I watch it.
I initially thought that the guy that was beaten up by the gang members was the bushy eyebrows dude, due to having both a white shirt and transitioning into a scene where jinx is with him, but now that you pointed it out he could really be anyone Also, SHACO IS THE NEW GRAGAS
Another clue that it's Ekko: if you go back to the Ekko champion teaser you can see what looks like a child jinx as one of the paintings that gets wrecked. Go to like 24 seconds into that vid and its pretty clear
I honestly wonder did Necrit missed that info about Ekko's appearence leaked by russian cast? And honestly WHY SO SECURE WITH THOSE STATEMENTS? I mean it is only logical that this is Ekko, from: 1 - cast leak 2 - character design 3 - no logic of introducing similarly looking character that has the same relation to Jinx as Ekko.
Imagine Dragons is a tanky dps assassin mage support jungle juggernaut that excelle at everything. With 3 passives, 4 dashes, an invis and a global ultimate
i am once again gonna hypothesize where this entire story is heading. jinx is going to willingly go to silco or whoever is willing to give her the purple stuff, and she's gonna willingly inject it or otherwise apply it to herself. Project JINX even hints at this. The story of jinx revolves around everyone hating her one by one, so at some point she just says "well screw it" and willingly goes insane so that she stops caring about everyone. A stoic zaunite girl who struggled to survive, becomes zaun itself. urgot mentioned in one of his quotes that jinx is the only one to do what everyone in zaun wants to do: cause chaos
If Arcane lives up to the hype, it'll give me hope that they'll recon the Ruination one day and tell a world ending story properly. Riot just gotta treat their story writers with more respect. Literally carrying the game on their backs.
There' s this old assumption that Ekko belongs to Vi's gang as he has 'XII' mark in one of his clothing, then Jinx also has hers which is 'X' then obviously Vi corresponds to 'VI' well this may not be accurate anymore but its cool that it came true after all this years.
Also, the scene where it’s projecting an adult Jinx and a younger Jinx is banging on the wall with the projection I think symbolises how the ‘real Jinx’ feels trapped within her, the real Jinx being her innocent and childish form. A lot of people who have had trauma from childhood have a hard time maturing, I think this is representative of that
Also to necrit although lor is no longer technically Canon jinx and ekko have voice lines talking about their childhood together so it's definitely possible that's indeed ekko
I resonate hard with the part in which Jinx is hitting herself, there is just a feeling of self hate and desparation of trying to make the emotions and memories of trauma stop. gad this is so good
Ekko has an interaction in league with jinx saying he had a crush until she started talking to her gun. Might play a part in the show where he breaks off from the group. He also calls Vi a traitor for joining up with caityln. If anything it might be lead up to his own story.
First thing, I don't know how you didn't realize this, The green butterfly is an obvious reference either to the C Caitlyn is going for, or the new upcoming Support who is said to control the enemies and make them fight each other, like a parasite. That's why the butterfly is coming from Jinx's mouth. Could be both. Secondly, the fat guy in goggles is obviously the guy from Ekkos trailer and comic, who is going to be killed by certain someone
I feel like Ekko is actually the person that made jinx's weapons and he's also the one who regularly supply's her with ammunition FOR them. because they were definitely not stolen. they were all custom made to suit her. by someone who's a genius and loves everything about her. even the bad stuff :)
im an ekko trick, borderline one trick and i forgot he had a crush on jinx when they were kids. and the show/song reminded me of that and i feel so bad for him lmao. like his voice lines when he sees jinx “yeah i had a crush, til you started talkin to the gun” and “you used to be cool” it hurts my heart rip
coming to this channel and seeing how many arcane videos has been made allready is like coming home and finally opening that package that arrived few days ago, amazing work ty Necrit
An 18 minute video about a music video show's both the effort into the easter eggs by all people involved in it's composure. And Necrit's insane skill in analyzing stuff.
@@aloha5461 i meant he did not take into account the MUSIC part .The lyrics heavily imply baseball . From the enemy video 2:41 "i am automatic quarterback" 2:42 "batter batter up" the whole sequence is him using baseball terms while raping .
So those other “mysterious characters” in Vi’s punching montage aren’t part of her gang, they’re part of a rival gang. So either later on in the series they team up for some reason, or they’re just using existing models for the MV.
One interesting thought: Ekko may be about the same age as Jinx, but using the Z-Drive to rewind himself (like when he uses Chronobreak, not the full time rewind) made him appear younger compared to other people (imagine 10 steps forward, one step back).
Maybe the firefly have a cool "soulmate" connection with her and Vi when they were young. But as she grew older, distant, and sees probably everyone as an enemy, she lets go of Vi, symbolic of their friendship, with the releasing of the firefly. Like a part of her soul, the young her, is gone.
about the rap part and ekko, not only the design is screaming ekko. it is on the rap part which on the music video titans Ekko there is the rapper. just a thought when the rap part started popped in my head
How do you call Ekko mysterious other person? Every detail shows that he is Ekko. The fact that he is trying to prove himself to her by punching the air because he loves her. How he pointed his finger to Piltover enforcers because he hates Piltover. His face gestures. His ingenuite machines. Every one of these details shows that kid is in fact Ekko.
"we have the bushy eyebrow guy whom we know will somehow betray Vi and Jinx" I felt bad for Mylo after watching Act 1. My boy gave his all to unlock Vander's chains to save Vi then he died. What a sad scene.
Also in the music video you can see jinx growing up for a split second when she "shoots" with the finger gun ( just make it play with 0.25X speed you will see it ).
Also, I think Jinx going insane isn't as related to the drug, but that the drug will make her more psychopathic and destructive. She's already messed up as a kid, and since she's been seen as an adult with blue eyes, I think it's more of a phasing in and out of psychotic episodes from the drug.
Just coming back here to say: *Arcane spoilers ahead* The dude didn't betray the gang, I guess his face on the punching targets was probably just an inside joke
As the champions this year are connected to Arcane and the next jungler is supposedly connected to the void, if the "purple stuff" is from the void, the jungler might be either Sylco or someone connected to him Singed-like or some someone corrupted by it ?
11:52 Hear me out. The guy that's being beat up is Warwick? Jinx was watching this relates to 'You were there..' lines from Warwick to Jinx its also said Warwick is found by singed in a vulnerable moment like this. If warwick is just a faint easter egg could it be this?
Ok so 1.Warwick shouldn't be that young as of like small difference in age 2. Beating up isn't like almost killing someone, that's kind of an ordinary thing in zaun 3.Warwick probably has some more lore connected to jinx than just being seen beat up 4. There is actually different character that suites more to be warwick before he was turned in monster (the middle-aged man who is somehow related to vi, from the second trailer)
so... jinx story is about some form of accident happening... and now we see ekko who's lore is about not being there in time to save a friend... so i went and checker ekko's launch trailer, who is mourning on some form of wall filled with prayers, the kind that you see when a lot of people die (like a terrorist attack or something) also... ekko has a voiceline when seeing jinx "I had a crush… until you started talking to the gun." so... what if that is ekko, he was a chilhood crush on jinx, but then shit hit the fan, big boom happened, people blamed jinx (included ekko) and now ekko mourns one of the gang who died on the big accident
necrit, this is just a random suggestion, but maybe you should bring up the tier list for champions based on their lore again every videos to mention about how much each champion's stories got better. i think it will be really good
