Nostalgia at it's best Dave very few people who go fishing nowadays can relate or even comprehend the true spirit of being a true carp angler but you've given me inspiration for many years keep up the dedication and inspiration

Inspired by your vids I searched through my old 90's "hi8" tapes (which are mainly pike, tench, eels and barbel of me/mates). I found a tape of a 37.4 common by an unknown angler from Littleton Lake. He was looking for someone with a camera and I happened to have my camcorder with me. So I did him a video. I think it was '98. If of interest will; try to get onto digital. I am not a carp angler whatso-ever but did fish some lakes you did but for other fish. EG Colne Mere, Wraysbury 1 and 2 Priory Lake, Hythe Lagoon as I lived near Horton (and used to visit the 5 Bells every now and again and the Percy). I used to recognise Phil because his hair colour changed every week and he was a very nice guy who chatted. Pretty sure I stumbled across Phil self taking a carp image from the "Mere" once and he was a bit anxious I would blab about it but as I was not a carp angler, I kept sthumm. I also recall someone who was always putting shedloads of hemp in the 'Mere" as I used to walk around it a lot - the only fish I ever saw in there were pike spawning.
The best of times. I have to admit it was me that gave Pete his nickname lol. I was on the phone to Stick and said I fancied the Weedy Bay but probably wouldn't get in it because that Weedbed Willy would most likely be in it lol.
@@davelane1996 I got in there and had a single bait at the bottom of the climbing tree. Reg was up there and told me a fish was over the bait. He then screamed STRIKE, I did and into thin air. Reg laughed and said u just pulled your bait out of the Parrot, so Weedbed Willy got the last laugh as it turned out lol.

Fantastic watch dave , uncle tony told me he was sending it over to you a little while ago so great to see the joy and great feelings these memories bring and .I always remember doing a few nights with uncle tony as a kid and trousers were always of to go in the drink ! Great watch and great memories for all .
