There’s nothing wrong with distortion, I love it, but the way they went about it ruined the mix. “the creative decision to clip the master” yeah no. It’s obvious somebody who didn’t know what they were doing just slammed the threshold of the limiter and went “ok sounds louder we’re done.” You gotta start somewhere so I don’t want to be too harsh on that person but also let’s not act like this was some thinking outside of the box creative decision.
