@@maskon1724 Trans conversion does exist. A Gay youth such as I, who once wished I was a girl (when I was 13ish) , what if I had been told “well guess what, you can be a girl”. Then proceeded to send me down the “confirming” Trans Industrial Complex assembly line and made a life long customer of big pharma. I call that conversion. Not conversation of the inside, not ones soul or ones mind but the conversion of ones body. Medical science can and does convert males to females and vice a versa. Nothing wrong with that but the problem is it is done way too early while the individual is still figuring out who they are. And puberty blockers are not the harmless drugs they are sold to be. I suggest you do a little more research on that topic.

Update: It's me again. I was in Dublin City Centre today and decided to give it another try. I went into Dubray books in Mary St. and spoke to a pleasant Scottish man, explaining that the book (Tough Crowd) was not on any of the shelves that I could see. He said he thought they had the book in the stock room and went to look. About 10 minutes later, he came down the stairs and was apologetic, saying they didn't seem to have any copies among the stocks. He then went to look on the shelves again to double check. He was talking in a low voice to another staff member, and though I didn't get the whole thing, I gathered from certain phrases that there was damage done to a batch of copies. I think one of the reasons they're not displaying the book is actually because activists are going into the shops and vandalizing them. I mean, we might as well get back to book-burning while we're at it. But then what would I know? I'm just a person with a cervix.

I had the same experience with buying Graham’s book in the Eason book store in Cork City, Ireland. It was not on display or visible in any way! I had to ask the shop assistant for it, and she returned with the book ten minutes later like she had to retrieve it from an alter, replace it with a weight, and dodge an earthquake, poison arrows and giant rolling ball in the process !!

I agree with Graham Linehan, stand with him and support him. What Graham does not mention here, is that Jimmy Mulvile/Hat Trick Productions offered Linehan a (relatively) substantial amount of money to 'walk away' entirely and in perpetuity from the 'Fr. Ted Musical' so that they could then produce it without his name (as the co-creator) being attached. This suggests that the company had/have full faith in the production, but dare not produce it while Graham's name is attached. This is not about business/art, it's about a minority ideology that has captured the entertainment/comedy industry as well as other estates. (Shades of 'McCarthy-ism', indeed?) Worth mentioning, perhaps, that Graham's book, 'Tough Crowd', as well as focussing in the latter third of the book upon his stance on the 'Trans Issue', also offers a masterclass in comedy writing for television and describes, often hilariously, his experiences in that arena. “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” Graham Linehan is standing up for Women's rights, Gay/Lesbian rights and the rights of vulnerable children. xx SF

The situation with the BBC and papers like the Daily Mail, Guardian, Metro, etc who continue to use preferred pronouns - even referring to male sex offenders as 'she' - is even more egregious than Graham suggests, because IPSO does not require their use. IPSO published new guidelines earlier this year which advise journalists that there may be a public interest in not using preferred pronouns, or at least if doing so to also make clear that the subject of a story is a trans-identified male, for example. Media outlets are not compelled to gaslight their audiences/readers - they are choosing to do so.

Isn't this proof that far left types own and control the media by about 90% plus. These are not sensible ideas and to punish people for believing the truth is very dark. These ideas are very dark, nothing in nature has fluid gender. The ecology where we came from via evolution is the basis for our values because that is what works, obviously because here we are. We can only improve on natural values in creating our society like making the natural competitive system safer and kinder. However when you decider to reject nature and reverse it then society is heading for destruction.

Couldn't see Tough Crowd displayed in any of the well-known bookshops in Dublin the last time I went to town, but a search on their websites shows they do have it. It's a disgraceful form of censorship. I'm going to make a point of asking why it's not visibly on display. I had to ask for the Helen Joyce one as well a while back. The thought police have a stranglehold in Ireland as well.

As a gay woman I am baffled by this now quite wide spread shift in the deciding your gender and the madness of all the industries and local authorities adopting all their literature, policies and procedures to accommodate the choice of pronouns…..I can’t fathom it. I understand the dissonance of being in the wrong gender but believe this to be a rare exception….not the scale of what we see now. For me…I stand with Graham…speaking out in the current climate leads to trolling, bullying and cancelling. It was hard enough fighting for gay rights in the 80’s and I know that if I was young today I would be “ supported to say that I was in the wrong body and should trans to be a male”…where as I am simply just a lesbian…. Today we have gone down a road where gender is a movable feast….Well…it isn’t. We should really stop this “ you decide what pronoun you want to be called by”….I find it insulting that on letters from any LA the signatury has to denote their preference……total madness.

The way none of these major retail outlet bookshops have done any promotion on his book is ludicrous to me, though at the same time we all know why. I remember struggling to find it in Waterstones in Holborn and whilst I was looking around for it a shop assistant with a customer came by me saying "We should have it, but yes it doesn't appear to be here." I thought I bet they are talking about the same book I'm after and then suddenly the shop assistant miraculously found it saying it must have been misfiled slightly. No promotional stuff was done whatsoever though in any of the stores I went in, including smaller independent stores. This is a new book by one of Britain's top comedy writers and in no shop did I see it displayed on tables or in windows. I eventually got it from the Islington branch of Waterstones, but needed two goes at that.

The Boston Pride organization, which holds thr Pride Parade each year (which used to be called "Gay Pride BTW) decised to disband as an organization rather than allow the organization to be taken over by the tran people. I believe the same year that the Boston Pride disbanded the New York Pride organization didn't have a gay Grand Marshall at its Pride Parade for the first time in its existence, but instead, the Grand Marshall was trans.

I am highly suspicious of anyone who says they are trans because I have had nothing but abuse and aggression from them, trans women in particular. They seem to hate everyone including themselves.

At my age I speak as I was raised to speak, openly and honestly. That could almost certainly get me into trouble in any work situation. I call "a bloke in a wig" a "bloke in a wig". I speak up for the British Empire. I call the police a "woke police". Which is what they are. "The problem is not the public, the problem is in the gatekeepers". I wonder if an answer to the BBC might be to start a second studio - a small, dedicated and non-woke news service - that transmits news and current affairs on the BBC channels, with the Beeb legally refused access for those timeslots, since Aunty can no longer be trusted with delivering it.
