As Overly Sarcastic Productions pointed out about Hermes, he remains the most represented Greek god in modern times, appearing in brand logos for things all the way from Goodyear, to courier companies, to medicine, to numerous mercantile and communication businesses. Those brand logos vary from Hermes' profile, to winged sandals, to the caduceus.

Hermes is like that aunt we all have, that's always up in everyones business

Media never gives Hermes enough credit. They just portray it as a messenger. The disney portrayal maybe the worst, but usually media never gives Hermes the credit he deserves.

My favorite portrayal of Hermes has to be the one in the Percy Jackson series. Nathan Fillion is the best. My favorite child of Hermes is Autolycus, the prince of thieves. Bruce Campbell did a great job playing him in the Xena series. You can tell by his fast talking and quick hands who his father is. Great video. I am really enjoying this series. :-)

I was pretty familiar with quite a bit of Hermes's mythology before the Disney film Hercules hit theatres. That said, the series Class of The Titans, which I highly recommend checking out, takes the Greek pantheon and drops into the modern setting, with the protagonists of the series being distant descendants of classical Greek heroes (one case the opening piece and the first episode actually goof, the Character Atlanta is actually supposed to descend from Atalanta and not Artemis), and Hermes makes an appearance in a high proportion of episodes, including the first one. Since Class of the Titans takes place in the modern era, almost all the Olympians have undergone some changes and adapted to the modern era in some capacity, but are still mostly ignorant of how the mortal world operates, this demonstrated beautifully and hilariously in the series finale, with the one major exception being Hermes actually being so in tune with the outside world that he actually keeps spare change on him to make use of a payphone. The series does a good job of representing Greek mythology, for the most part, there are some parts that seem to have been adjusted or run on a different sort of translation than most people are familiar with. And to be honest, I think it would be interesting to do a side by side with Class of the Titans and Disney's Hercules.
