Carbon frame whoop is an interesting idea BUT I don't like the proprietary stuff that emax is pushing. They use different motor screw mount. Also making a motor shaft incompatible with a standard prop is just awful. Because of that anti-consumer approach, definite no-buy from me.
Same here. I regret buying the TH2 Freestyle over the GepRC phantom because of emaxs proprietary bullshit. I can't swap the motors or the frame or mount standard sized boards. I could do all these things with the phantom even though it costs a bit more.
IMHO 75mm is the sweet spot for tiny whoops, you get significantly more thrust and efficiency from the larger props. I would choose the moblite7 no question, it’s a shame Happymodel didn’t design a completely new frame with a proper camera mount and better protection for the moblite series. Instead we get recycled old frames that have been around for years like the horribly fragile Mobula7 v2 frame, it’s nice that they come with spare fames but I’d have preferred new frame designs. As for any whoop Emax makes it’s always a hard pass with their proprietary board mounting. Thanks for the review and stay safe.
Agreed. Moblite7 seems the best out of the bunch but very amateur with the 3d printed camera mount. There is definitely potential for this to be improved.
idk about the frame I broke 3 motors before I broke the frame( the dark grey one) and ima newbie....with a moblite 75 home made (shutterbug75) used a zip tie cut in the middle for the cam and a crazybee f4 (I know i didn't solder the motors its easier with the plugs) ! its crazy how the bi-blade props break so easily ( I have used the 4 bladed props cut 2 off) hopefully those ones are better... And also broke one ex802 didn't have any spare so I mounted 4 19500kv 0802se it flies completely different.. as i broke also the vtx antenna decided to mount a mobula 6 canopy on top cause that aio was getting way too many bong-hits. Its totally another whoop. If you guys are beginner like me get a canopy or a 3d printed one to protect that board. I received some other 4 bladed props and now i just fly with them im not botherin to cut cause i need to wait another 3 weeks for spares...lol
Hey, thanks for the upload - which would you recommend for some indoor flying when the weather is bad (I'm in the UK so this is most of the time)? Cheers!
Hello! Gear vid man. I’m a total noob but i’m trying to catch onto things as fast as I can. I recently got myself a Taranis x9 Lite. Correct me if i’m wrong, but these whoops will bind right up to my radio right? I’ve been reading horror stories with my radio not wanting to bind with majority of whoops. Thanks 🙏
Thank you! You might have some issues as far as I know, as your radio is using the new ACCST protocol. Check out this video by the wonderful Painless360 which might help you out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vOAFdp52cVU.html
My pleasure. I think that the Geprc P16 is the smallest commercially available option: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-N0ZpG2TpsVw.html
I’m really liking the Moblite6/7 but odd they chose to use such a long antenna. Only the exposed element is active, so they could have easily used a shorter, lighter antenna. It’s probably an IPEX4 connector and if so it’ll be easy to swap to a shorter antenna.
What is the deadzone of HV Lipos? Normal Lipos are 3.0V-3.1V without Recover under this Range there4 See Damaged. What is the Minimum Range die HV Lipos? THX For answer
I normally fly them down to 3v as well (which probably doesn't help with their longevity...). If you want to stay on the safe side land when getting down to 3.2-3.3v.
Moblite - VTX is really bad on multiple board I and other pilots have.. It's like less than 25 mW - when set to 200 mW :( Can you confirm that too ? Maybe I try adding a different Antenne (which need to be soldered)
Hi can somebody give me some advice PLEASE... My Moblite 7 is acting funny. I have Moto Stop on but when I arm Motos still spin and also throttle response is sort of delayed making it unflyable. I also noticed that in Betafight I tryed to set up switches for mod but even though I put it in auto it doesn't respond.... I would be greatful for any suggestion as I am new all this THANK YOU...
I bought the Nano Hawk and it is disappointing. The "prop guards" are flimsy so any crash results in bending props and resulting vibrations make it unflyable.
Exactly. The "guards" and props are extremely flimsy. And you are stuck with buying overpriced emax props because of the proprietary mounting. It's almost like a scheme :/
@@OsirisPL My NanoHawk motors have 1mm shafts so I can use standard whoop props. It doesn't make much of a difference with those flimsy prop guards though.
