The Mormon Roots of Reincarnation & Magic in the Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow Trials with Ron Yorgason

Lori Vallow Daybell has been convicted of the same crimes that Chad Daybell is currently on trial for:
Conspiracy & First Degree Murder of JJ Vallow, Tammy Daybell & Tylee Ryan.
While the mentions of multiple mortal probations, zombies, demonic possession and human sacrifice have been whispered about, it's rare that anyone has been able to explain HOW Chad and Lori justified the (alleged on Chad's account) atrocities that they did.
In this episode of Mormon True Crime, Beth Magnetic & Ron Yorgason deep dive into a second installment of the Chad Daybell & Lori Vallow cases to explain how Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism, really set the stage for this to happen, and how some of his predecessors fed the theology and doctrines that were used to justify this tragedy.
Downloadable PDFs of the slides with links to sources will be available at MormonTrueCrime.com when it is up in the near future.

As a never Mormon this was so informative. I’ve heard a lot of defensive people saying Chad and Lori’s beliefs had nothing to do with Mormonism. Isn’t acknowledging the issues, instead of hiding them, the first step to preventing this type of “doctrine” inspired crime. Have you thought about going on Mormon Stories. It would be a great way to expand your channel, and this is right up their alley.

Thank you!! I really want people to understand these bizarre crimes keep happening for a reason! The only way to stop them from continuing to happen is by talking about them. I've definitely applied to be on Mormon Stories so hopefully they pick us up for an episode at some point!

I am still stuck with what Heather said, in her HTC interview, she was asked if she thought Chad believed it, she said she thinks Chad did the same research she did which made her leave the church, after she found lie, after lie, after lie. She said she didn’t know whether he believed it or not, she seemed to lean in the direction that he didn’t, and I don’t think he did either, he was trying to sell books, because he saw how others were able to sell books, but the difference is, he had no clue how to write. Chad was trying to make a dollar, I think it shocked him when his “we were married in another life” line worked. He was living in lala fantasy land, but I don’t think he believed any of it. He manipulated quite a few people, though. He is sick and twisted. O

I just found your channel, and have followed the Lori & Chad Daybell trials from the inception when the children were missing and Nate Eaton interviewed Melanie Gibb. I am a devout Catholic (please don’t throw tomatoes at me!), and so never-Mo. I live in the heart of Gilbert, AZ. Even though Catholic, I have LDS friends due to living here most of my life. The Mormon religion has always fascinated me, and I have a sincere respect for my LDS friends. I can now understand why their beliefs in reincarnation are so real due to the LDS doctrine and beliefs. My heart has hurt over the fact that the Daybells took the lives of Tylee and JJ after those children were seemed dark. The blend of magic, mysticism, pendulums, castings, and necromancy are where the derailings started to occur, plus the idea of Godhood, and Chad Daybell believing he was James, brother of Jesus in a past life! Thank you both for unpacking the magical history of Mormonism along with the writings and the parchments. Fascinating yet so disturbing to know people actually believe all this! I’ll stick with going to Mass, taking the Eucharist, reading the Bible, and my simple Catholic prayers, thank you! 😊

Those 21 church manuals? I’m curious to know how often the story of Mary Fielding Smith, mother of Joseph Fielding Smith, having to administer to the sick ox was told. And HOW it was told. I swear it was told to me that it she herself who did it, all alone, because her team captain and the other brethren refused to help her- even said they’d leave her behind. Nowadays the version is that she called on her priesthood leaders to administer and they did.

1:02:36 … the story about how, back in the time of Orson Whitney, a question was posed to a bishop: what to do if a man commits adultery? The determining factor on the church discipline was whether it was publicly known. If not known, the offender was just rebaptized. If publicly known, then the church leaders were forced to excommunicate. Gawd. Not much has really changed. My abuser, temple married when he committed adultery with his LDS, temple-endowed married neighbor during his first year of marriage in the 1970’s, only confessed in the 1990’s. His punishment was a quiet disfellowshipment. That is all. But he regretted that confession and hardened against the church. Then he was called into the bishopric BY THE SAME LEADER who’d disfellowshipped him, who was then the stake president. I believe the lax punishment of male predators and the harsh punishment of youth and women is part of the reason nothing will change in misogynistic, uberpatriarchal LDS cult-ure.

It took me a bit to finish this, Daybell trial came back online for a minute. I was bad, who can re-baptize me? I need a cane for stability, where can I get a coffin cane with magic powers, blood and hair attached? I am obsessed with seeing what Chad's pendulum looked like. Melanie Gibb said yellow and pointy. I can't find the Julie Rowe rant where she said Chad needed to quit using his OWL necklace to get revelations. I want a pointy yellow owl necklace please. Maybe a divining rod would be good, I have a lost watch with an apparent super battery that goes off every hour. I have torn my bathroom apart because that is where I hear it. Maybe a magic treasure finding rod would uncover my watch! Let me give my rant. No death for Chad. I don't want him to go zooming back to heaven and grab a new body. I want him to fester in his current body. With his resting bitch face missing that 3 times a day sex with his goddess. Beth and Ron, you two are a hoot. Funny that there is no need to enhance or embellish your Mormon facts because the things you are discussing are straight outta the church history and I sit here with my mouth open listening. Did Chad say whether he texts Alex in outer darkness on an android or an iphone Today in court we heard about a chaddaybell@gmail.com google search on clearing iphone history. I think Chad's texting to the dead phone is an iphone. Is Tammy taking his texts? She went to a different place than Alex so they can't share a phone I guess.

The description in the quote I found sounds more like some kind of crystal or something. Later he used a heart-shaped pendant he found at the podium in the chapel he was cleaning one Saturday morning. There was a person who was with him cleaning at the time and Chad said he was going to put it in the lost and found, but he never did. This person checked with the bishop and he also said it was never returned. After learning how Chad was using it, the bishop reportedly stated that the Adversary put that necklace on the podium in hopes that some priesthood holder would find it and be lured by its power.

In my opinion, the doctrine of personal revelation is at the heart of all of these Mormon murders. Whenever someone says they can personally talk to God and that they are that special and people follow them. It’s a recipe for disaster.
@yorgasor
@yorgasor Месяц назад
When you have a bunch of scriptures and early prophets telling you to seek out the mysteries of God, and then provide a way for them to get them through personal revelation, you can't be surprised when members actually believe it's possible and then claim to have done it.

@@yorgasor there is no personal revelation like Everyman is a prophet until movements like Mormonism in America during the 1800s. It sounds blasphemous to most Christians and weird to most Jews. When Joseph Smith started this religion, he railed against the idea that men don’t speak to God anymore since biblical times that all men can speak directly to God and get personal revelation. You can see how that could be twisted, and it easily has been twisted. Typically when most rational people hear that someone talks directly to God, they think that they are not right in the head.

Radical feminism is not a thing for me, but then I’ve never felt that being a woman has ever stood in my way for accomplishing anything I wanted. From running companies to being a wife and mother. Establishing your own credibility and confidence, without being bitter absolutely opens doors. And I have never been a doormat that sat quietly in a corner licking my wounds. Yes I pissed people off, but I didn’t care and let it roll off. I wasn’t just “lucky” or fortunate, I worked for it.
@MormonTrueCrime
@MormonTrueCrime Месяц назад
The problem here is that even when a woman works for it, the mindset I mentioned in this video tells women they STILL shouldn't be compensated. Being compensated at all isn't radical feminism.

@@MormonTrueCrime my son had a schrooms experience that God is a woman. Very impactful for him. I was a member of the church for 50 years. A convert. Widowed. During Covid they wouldn’t let me go to church without a mask. So I had my own sabbath study program. Trying to disprove the anti Mormon stuff, I was able to see what a lie it was!! From the churches website!! It was a lot of grieving, sadness. Lost, lonely and mourning. My kids were heartbroken with my decision, we now meet each other where we are. It’s been a journey for sure.

I have alwaya been a feminist, but I never considered myself a radical feminist until the “liberal feminists” decreed that “transwomen are women.” But now I belong to WoLF, a self-described radical feminist organization. Others describe us as “TERFS” - trans-exclusive radical feminists. I support about 90% of what WoLF works for - and an important WoLF goal is keeping male-bodied offenders (regardless of their gender identity) OUT of women’s prisons. There are male predators who have latched onto the trans movement and self-identified as “transwomen” (even though they don’t even have gender dysphoria) to get access to women, and we just don’t think imprisoned women should be exposed to this risk. Let the prisons build separate wings for these male-bodied transwomen instead of putting them into women’s prisons. None of the transwomen I have known personally have been predators, but I have enjoyed a largely privileged middle class life. As ever, it is poor and disadvantaged women who will suffer the worst of consequences of just allowing any man to self-identify as a woman.

GENESIS: As for the first word of scripture, the same exact word was used by Jacob to describe his birstborn son. רוש does mean head, but in Portuguese. In French it means pink. In English it is the rose. It also refers to the beginning of the day when the sky is rose in color. The first word of the Bible is, according to Judaiic tradition, the title of the book. For this reason, REAL Hebrew scholars used the Greek word Genesis, for "in the beginning."--NOT in the head. That"s just damn dumb.

The question in my mind is did Joseph garner information from some Jew steeped in history and Judaiic mysticism. OR Did Joseph call on any spirit willing to answer from "the grove." Natives of northern America were known to practise pole worship which is a form of ancestor worship. This was practised by ancient sea people like the Phoenicians. We see it in the story of Gideon. "Grove" is a word that appears in context with the religion. "Palmyra" has a meaning related to these poles which are made from the trees. It interests me that some historian saw fit to name the town of Joseph's experience Palmyra...and a nearby town i think is Macedonia? Add to that, Joseph's nighttime spirit is named Mormon. Mormon is a word in the related ancient language which translstes as "nightterror." At least it's honest in identifying itself. Moroni is more difficult, but moron does relate in the sense of the lowest rank of teachable students. Moroni is a word that identifies the captain of the lowest rank of soldiers in describing Satan's army. When enemies attacked Jerusalem and the temple, these are identified in scripture as "the young men that pisseth against the wall." They would be the "oron" and one's captain woule Moroni. The point is that when the tail of the beast is on the wall, the head is in the Holy of Holies. In my opinion, our word urine is probaby derived from the same source as "oron"--the pissants of Satan's military. If you wanted to build an honorable religion, you wouldn't use demonic contacts and Satanic ideas to do it. I'm not actually a scholar, this just happens to be a subject I studied years ago.

1:21:27 Heber C Kimball’s patriarchal blessing also says he is a direct descendant of Jesus Christ. Thus we see the means whereby Heber was the dependable lap dog servant of whoever flattered his huge vanity. This lineage of Jesus Christ was saved by patriarchs for the elite members of their day. My Kanaka great- grandfather was also told that he literally descended from Jesus Christ. His wife was placed in the tribe of Joseph. No succeeding generation seems to have inherited the lineage. Hmmm. Could it be that they were placed in Manasseh, because they were “just” Kanaka? (Hello, racism?)

Eli Jah means priest of God. I believe this refers to a priest of the most high God, the triune God in his fullness. John B.ministered in the spirit and power of a special order of priesthood. These like Elijah and Moses have the true ability to pass through space and time. Talmud has an interesting discussion on how Moses managed to run up and down Mt. Carmel in the time it took for the sun to rise (or maybe it was the setting sun?) Special gifts for special people. Elijah and Moses and Jesus may have stood on the same mountain, but somehow came together for a shining moment in time. :)
