For me the Master Sword gives instant nostalgia

Bungie just makes game icons. The Battlerifle and the magnum, Energy sword or gravity hammer, the Spnkr rocket launcher or even the Assault rifle. So many iconic weapons to even count Destiny included. From the Gjallarhorn to the Thorn, Icebreaker, Last word, or even something like the Jotuun or Vex Mythoclast.

The Cheytac M200 Intervention or "Intervention" for short is probably the most iconic gun from Call of Duty history and has become a huge part of it

Oooooo all of the destiny 1 ultimates. The fist of panic, the sun trance thingy for warlock, and the golden gun for hunter. Man, brings me back.

One for me personally that fits a few of these category's, is the simple nail from Hollow knight. It looks unique with a simple name and simple function, but the simplicity allows for versatility, and then upgrading it makes you feel stronger as you learn attack patterns you like and learn the game in general, it also loops into narrative, with the whole deal with the nailsmith.

One of my favourite weapons is the mining drill from bioshock. I love the raw power of a spinning drill as it rips through your enemies and the diesel sound it makes is just incredible

It’s weird that when you told me to think about my favorite weapon, I thought of the BMW M3 GTR from NFS MW 2005. It isn’t a weapon, but it’s the main driving force of my first game I ever played, and is still my favorite to this day

My favorite game is destiny 2, and one of my favorite things about the destiny franchise is it’s weapons. Nobody can tell me that ghallarhorn, thorn, and last word aren’t iconic as hell, though Ace of Spades will forever be my boo

One of my favorite weapons of all time has to be the terrablade, I feel like its also very iconic and represents the game, I mean its literally called the terrablade, lol.

When you said to close my eyes and imagine a favourite weapon, I immediately remembered the Pulse blade from TF2. It's not a weapon, but it's fun to throw knives at people at supersonic speed.

We can't forget Gjallarhorn from Destiny

My favorite weapon in all of gaming, one that holds a special place for me because (at the time) it was the strongest melee weapon in terraria on the PS3, and that's the terra blade, once I got it, I felt unstoppable, finnaly able to beat Ocram for the first time with the terra blade felt sooo good, and I wish I could relive that experience once again

Some weapons that i might say is iconic is the Slingshot from Angry Birds, the Jetpack from Jetpack Joyride, the classic unforgettable and nostalgic Roblox Sword, the Monado from Xenoblade, the Mega Buster from Megaman, Z Saber from Megaman, the Shovel from Shovel Knight, and more

I feel like the connection the weapon makes is the most important thing. I just spent over 200$ on a realistic lightsaber, and it was worth it. I think it really just shows how you connect and feel about a series or franchise idk

I did not reckognize the sounds of the first 2 weapons, but the third one was certainly an AWP from Csgo

IMO some of the most iconic video game weapons are the Master Sword, the Halo assault rifle, the Halo energy sword, the shotgun from Doom*, the legendary assault rifle from Fortnite**, and Soldier 76’s heavy pulse rifle. Obviously those aren’t all of them but the those are just some of the ones that come to mind fastest. Honorable mentions: Final Smash Ball***, Ray Gun (CoD), BFG (Doom), Super Shotgun (Doom), fire flower (Super Mario)***, Super Star (Super Mario)***, Splattershot (Splatoon), and Samus’s arm canon (Metroid). *Yeah the names BFG and Super Shotgun are more easily associated with Doom but the shotgun is like THE weapon you use in Doom. **Yeah I know, cringe, but the words “golden scar” are synonymous with Fortnite BR. ***I put these in HM because I wasn’t sure if they’re really classified as weapons.

The weapons i thought of were alternator from titanfall, reapers shotguns because it just felt so beefy every shot, the shiv from last of us just cuz i felt like a badass, and and infinity power and punch bow in minecraft cuz how good it is

The most iconic weapon out of any game (to me at least) has gotta be the Electro Bolt Plasmid from Bioshock 1 and 2. It's a really useful tool for opening up doors for extra supplies, taking out turrets, cameras, splicers and even Big Daddies if you combo it with the right weapons.

My personal most iconic/favorite weapon is the nail from hollow knight, really simple. You start with it and you end with it. It is just so satisfying to use. And you use it for getting around too. Hollow knight is truly one of the most underrated games ever.

I would consider the B3 Wingman to be a modern iconic weapon, to TF|2 and Apex Legends, it's one of the most unique looking weapons in that game, and honestly just looks badass, it almost screams the design standard of the Titanfall universe

My favorite weapon has to be The Blades of Chaos it’s so Iconic and represents Kratos and the series perfectly. Using it feels so satisfying to just chain combos (no pun intended) and hit multiple enemies at once. I mean they came back in Gow 2018 it’s that iconic. And it has a clear story behind how it was made and how kratos received them, it’s just a great weapon overall. He also has had the other blades like the Blades of Athena, Blades of Exile but the Blades of Chaos is just the original and more known.

I personally think the most iconic for me is either the Devil Sword Sparda and the Rebellion from Devil May Cry franchise. Both canonically important swords that are unique in their own ways. Like the Sparda, for instance, can be turned into a spear and a scythe from a sword-like base. And the rebellion has a skull on the handle and guard mixed with a bone like design. You don’t see that every day.
