I think my favourite part of the show is that the stand up is ACTUALLY top tier. Like if you stripped away the storyline and it was just a stand-up set. It could still stand on its own.

@Sargi Dhadwal I mean who are you to be an authority on this - I've never heard of your stand up? If lots of people find it funny then it's obviously doing something right and no art can please everybody. Most comedy depends on perspective anyway - whether you have experience of or get the perspective of the lives played out, so obviously there's lots of people who wouldn't relate to this too. Humour is too subjective to have these definitive evaluations... Is it satisfying to respond to all the people who loved the humour with "No she isn't" or "No it's not!"? Genuinely? Is it?

It'll be good, but not great. The intricate storylines, the crazy situations, the character development, and last but not the least Susie.. you take these away, and what's left is nothing more than just a out-of-this-world gorgeous and very emotive but just above average female stand-up comedian.

I love the standup too, and Rachel does a great job of making it seem like she was always a natural comic. Put in the context of the story, she's Joan Rivers before the world knew about Joan Rivers.

@@kavyac9437 felabag was originally aired on BBC I believe.. I didn't know it was available on Amazon. I liked Fleabag too. But Mrs. Maisel is probably the best offering of Amazon, along with Man in the High Castle.

@@fmkhan213 Amazon co produced Fleabag, so it's technically theirs too. And they did so dirty to The man in the high castle! I remember when it came out, hardly any promotion was done, except for that scandal with the infamous subway cart with the Nazi symbols in NY lol. Then the second season ends with an awesome cliffhanger and they let 2 years go by till the third season premiered! Ugh, by the time it came out I couldn't remember much and practically gave up on the first episode, I will go back to it though but it just wasn't the same feeling after that...

I hate what they did to Benjamin. He was so supportive of Midge's career, and made sure she knew it. It made no sense to me that she left him. I think Zac gets just as many fan inquiries now about Benjamin as he does about Chuck and Shazam.

Yeah, unfortunately Benjamin was struck by the sitcom romantic interest curse. Ben getting with Midge equals a happy protagonist. A happy protagonist equals no conflict. No conflict equals no story. Show writers tend to think that a character getting into a relationship is the end of the story, when really theirs so much more they could do with them. Like we could have seen Benjamin adjusting to being a stepdad. Benjamin tries to get along with Midge friends and family. Benjamin deals with the reality of having a spouse in show business. And that's just off the top of my head.

S tier writing. S tier set designs. S tier character portrayls. S tier costumes. S tier direction. Result: a masterpiece of a show and an all time favorite of mine. Will miss this show when it ends this year but will rewatch it without a doubt.

I kinda miss it when Midge's act involved swearing and graphic stories ... the days when she used to get arrested for speaking her mind, that kind of act seemed to come so much easier to her. It was badass as well as funny and honest. Her acts lately have been funny but its felt like it's missing something, the same stories over and over. I have a gut feeling Season 4 is gonna see a shake-up

okay so a lot of ppl inbthe comment section is like this aint funny. I am just gonna be one of the few that think this is kinda funny, very witty and smart. I mean, if you watch show and see the entire skit it will make you laugh so hard. But the edit here just cropped it out weird.
