they made it dark elixir for the sake of it, just like how the overgrowth spell is the first 2 size dark spell, it doesn't matter anymore they just want to make a balance of upgrading both dark and normal versions of spell factory and baracks@@vladmanea6161
he is honestly strong if used by the right person in the right army. his release was just not that hyped and neglected by a lot of people since it was released before hero equipment which the Normal Warden has life aura.
Yup can use it along with high hp ground troop so that it will boost their hp much more than warden, as apprentice warden does not have a cap on hp increase
@kumarkartikeya7 that is definitely true. Gather up 10 apprentices and everything in the radius next to them are practically invincible when combined with warden and royal champion. If the ten don't split into their own groups between the two heros
I think he's too new for casual players to see his potential, pros use him a lot especially with beefy troops since he has no health cap and when dropping life gem on warden for other equipment since life gem is kinda useless for beefy troops anyway since it's capped at like 700+ hp which is only like 10% of a rootrider but apprentice warden does like 30% regardless so any troop over about 2400 and it's better to use the apprentice and swap life gem for something else
I agree, especially since he doesn’t have a HP cap from his life boosting ability so it free the life aura gem so you can substitute it (me personally for the healing tome)

How come his aura would be worse than Grand Warden's? His aura does not have any limits on health boosting, making him a very good support to high hp troops especially heroes. In any armies with sui hero or tons of high hp troops, apprentice warden is always a good option. Your root riders, BK, AQ, Electro Titans are far more tanky than before.
Maybe they didn’t buff him knowing that he will be OP when the equipment come out. And not being used as often isn’t being neglected he was being used in higher town halls. It’s like saying that the golem/witch is being neglected and just forgetting that they are being used so much in the middle townhalls. Thinking about it this video doesn’t rly make sense if the apprentice warden is neglected then what does that make the giant? The giant rarely sees any play after u unlock the dragons and balloons. Or the wall wrecker once u have the log launcher unlocked
I would say the thing he needs most is maybe a little more range for the life aura. Increasing the amount of hp given from the aura would be very tricky as it doesn’t have a side cap like the wardens gem.
Hes a little neglected. But he's seriously good after the hero abilities came out. We can have both the rage gem/healing tomb and a smaller life aura which is absolutely huge.
With introduction of hero equipment, Warden hero got a lot of new cool features that requires removing life gem. Also Apprentice Warden have much stronger aura(28% of troop max hp for Apprentice Warden/+725 max troop hp for full level(18) life gem equipment on Warden hero). Only 20 troop capacity and jump over walls! Perfect unit to support your army and give you ability to replace life gem on your Warden hero🙃
I'm a th13 and I like to use the apprentice warden alongside my queen charge in my hybrid army. Since they nerfed the queen with the addition of hero equipment, she has less hitpoints and the apprentice warden makes she shey stays alive just a little longer. More can definitely be done with him.
The apprentice warden works great with the main army if you have the healing and eternal tome equipped on the grand warden to help provide the troops with more health all game after the abilities of the warden have been used and no longer provides any benefit afterwards
The thing about him is that his life boost doesn't have a limit unlike the grand warden, which could be really good if paired with golems or the barb king
I prefer apprentice buff over the warden buff for big troop attacks. This also didn’t take me anytime to realize. Now with Wareen equipment out it’s even better
Since they aded the heal and rage warden abilities can be used instead of the life gem, the apprentice warden made so much sense with spam armies after a little queen walk
they should just give him a small niche buff like a plus 1 or 2 speed aura, very small but gives a better reason to use him than just wanting 2 equipments and the life gem on the warden
That apprentice warden is good as it have alot like alot more potential and good use as most th 13 players use double tome on their warden, so basically the mini warden is a substitute for the life gem although not that good as the original.. Troop composition: 2 apprentice warden 4 yeti 4 witches 8 healers 2 balloons 2 super wall breakers 1 minion 3 rage 1 poison 3 freeze 1 zap Clan castle reinforcement: 9 hogs 1 earthquake 1 zap 1 flame flinger or 1 log launcher King: giant gauntlet, rage vial Queen: frozen arrow, invisibility vial Warden: fireball, rage gem RC: Shield and Gem
I mean bringing one is useful to get a few extra logs out of the log roller, then he can combine with the rest of the attack. Idk I think sometimes it’s worth bringing exactly one but that’s about it
Trophy pushing at th6 and 7 the apprentice warden is the best cc troop to push with (Very odd use case but still has a use for us low th level pushers)
I use that for my root rider strategy to buff hp since I use rage gem and eternal tome in my warden. Super OP for ground attack in my opinion since it doesn't have HP cap, 30% is 30% boost.
Best use for them is as their own strategy. Put them with a queen walk and the walk is unkillable and has significantly more damage. I use 6 of them with 8 healers add 3 to a charge with 5 healers and its genuinely op. Then on another side of the base after the eagle is down do a warden walk with the others. Skeleton spells rage and invis to keep both charges alive headhunters for heroes rc+ drill for backside/core king for cleanup with some cleanup troops Legit strat it just massively speeds up the walks which is their only weakness. Also the hp buff it gives to big troops is significantly bigger than what the warden's life gem does.
He’s definitely not neglected at the higher town halls he’s used consistently for his better life aura for higher hp units due to no percentage cap and also so the warden can use both tomes
this is surprising. i see apprentice wardens all the time in my clan, he's used with most ground armies. He gives more hitpoints than the grand warden's life gem does to higher health troops like root riders and etitans, and also allows you to bring the rage gem or healing tome instead of the life gem and still get a health boost for your army. i use him all the time, he's great.
The apprentice warden aura is worse, but unlike the grand warden, there is no limit to how big a health boost a troop can get, so some troops can get over 1k health from it
i think a minor champion would be neat. barbs and archer got their minor hero abilities in builder base (with rage barbs and sneaky archers coping the abilities of Barb king's rage vile and archer queen's cloak) grand warden has apprentice warden
The only moment I use the mini warden is when I was in Th 13 in my queen walks, until I got the unicorn. Now the only times I do use a warden is when I req for troops when I do a yetti witch attack. Wish they would give em a buff when defending where they could give buildings extra health when he walks by
Valkyrie is a neglected troop. It is straight up useless and has no niche compared to other troops. The AW has a niche. He has an Aura that buffs Yetis and other high health troops by an insane amount. AW is great for high HP troops, and the Warden is great for low HP Spam troops like Hogs.
what ya mean? I use 1 of him in all my armies, I play heroes dive and multiple heroes often getting his buff is op, like king can survive so long and the spare super giants in my army is also too tanky
I don't care what anyone says i definitely use it in group based army since the Life boost taken away from the warden due to its equipment healing tomb and rage vial with eternal THIS LITTLE THING TAKING 20 HOUSING SPACE DEFINITELY PROVIDE MY ARMY/HEROS TO LAST LONGER HE IS DEFINITELY UNDERATED 😊
Flat 30% HP Boost will always be better than a 90% HP Boost (with a 700HP Cap). If your troops have more than +3,000HP. Its why the Life Gem Equipment is considered Low Tier compared to most Equipments.
i feel like he was only added to complete the "coming soon" slots that used to be in the game (since this is the 10th dark barrack troop) or because they wanted to add troop versions of the warden (since the king is based off a barbarian and the queen is based off the archer)
I think before warden got his abilities split into equipment this troop was useless and at that time when troop was released this video would have blown up but nowadays with wardens hero equipment split he is kind of useful
Apprentice warden breaks the idea of "new" troops since this troop isn't new, it's just a worse version of the grand warden. People look forward to new troops and when I saw that it was the apprentice warden, I can't lie I was disappointed. The last few troops have felt this way, I miss the days of revolutionary troops like the yeti, headhunter, and the miner.
I have been using him. His really good for witch (also her skeletons)Yeti, golem’s even Hero’s too just few examples give a Few Tries or more his really not bad Troop
Before the equipment update he was invaluable in any hero Sui, uncapped 30% health buff was crazy in the king Edit: I used one with Sui lalo at th14 and tripled most th15’s
I use him 10 times per day with my s bowler smash army. Great troop, you don't know what you are talking about. And please stay consistent with your voice, you go up at the end of lots of sentences and that sounds very unpleasent. This is just practical advice, don't take it personal, you can make better videos if you do some speaking and voice practice. Afterall still a kind of well made video, so only love from here on :)
He spoke in the video about how its coming back into the game, keep in mind that before the equipment update there was basically no point in using him because why not just use the grand warden? He was okay in some very niche armies but the equipment update brought him back
