Using that logic, Bloody Mary is just Cuba Libre with tomato juice instead of Coke, vodka instead of run and spices instead of lime juice.

@@TheDrCork yeah, no its not the same logic. Because the flavor profile is so different. This one has a similar flavor profile but with less complexity IMO. Bloody marry and cube libre have such a different flavor. This isnt even a good comparison.

You’re going to a business, you’re going to be paying for more than just the alcohol. It costs money to operate a business so the price will reflect that. Also gotta consider you’re paying for the bartender’s skill/knowledge of not only how to make the drink properly but also hundreds of other drink recipes. Drinking at home is undoubtably cheaper so if cost is your #1 concern then stick with that. Also gotta remember some drinks are just lighter than others. Like a Malibu Bay Breeze or French 95 are very light and easy drinks (As a cocktail theyre probably less than 10% abv) while something like a Manhattan, Old Fashioned or Bees Knees are stronger and more in the 20-30% abv range given their recipes. All the drinks will cost roughly the same so what you get is purely down to preference. I’d suggest trying the Bees Knees if you want a tasty drink that’ll still get you fucked up.
