I mean, there are things to like about the ships??? but the overarching ptsd of Tumblr embarrassment makes it not worth it lol. The only healing I got from the wounds left by the Steven Moffat Sherlock show was watching older Sherlock shows, to where the version of JohnLock that I genuinely like now is from the 1984 Sherlock show, where really I only see Sherlock and John Watson in a QPR. It's because of how rampant the show makes clear (by being an as accurate adaptation of the books) of Sherlock being aroace and John being straight, but them finding comfortability and satisfaction in living together (Hell, the show even writes out John's marriage despite keeping everything else from the books in).

Honestly so brave yet so true about Amy. Her early writing was genuinely so gross; she was just constantly cheating on the absolute angel that is Rory while harassing the Doctor, who canonically views her as a child the whole time. She gets more likeable after she chooses Rory but god that era of the show would have been ten times more likeable if they'd written out Amy and River's abusive tendencies

I remember being on tumblr in 2013-2014 just witnessing everyone loving Sherlock, Doctor Who, and Supernatural and I could never escape the gifs of them 😭 Around 2015, that’s when I got into Supernatural but I was never a rabid Destiel shipper, nor did I ship them at all. OMG Flashback time. I was a part of the Sherlock fandom. Not really the others, though (and I also didn't have a Tumblr account, so I was definitely not deep in the trenches here). Did watch a couple episodes of Doctor Who and Supernatural and liked them well enough, but I never fully got into them. Sherlock gave me quite enough happy brain rot. :D And yes, please do a part 2!!! I was finishing college/prepping for grad school between seasons 3 and 4, and in my first year of grad school when season 4 aired. This also seems to have been when the fandom was falling apart (or at least going dormant), so all the Johnlock conspiracy and fandom implosion was news to me. I had other stuff I was paying more attention to at that point, but fandom history fascinates me, so I'm hungry for more learning!
