Medieval lag was a very common occurrence, happening most frequently between the 9th and 12th centuries. Medieval lag caused many revolts and led to many deaths due to miscommunication, most fatally affecting commander-to-soldier communication. It is one of the many reasons why the French tended to retreat a lot.

Jokes aside, medieval French actually had a problem of retreating too little. So a French and English army cooperated during one of the Crusades, and scouts reported that there was a large Muslim army coming, outnumbering both armies. The English urged the French to retreat and gather reinforcements to which the French said that they'd attack the Muslim army without the English because if they would lose, they'd be dead and heroic martyrs, and if they'd win, they'd be heroes who didn't have to share the loot with the English.

The Nords are kinda made for siege warfare. Heavy armour, long reach weapon that hit like a freight train and thick shields. Still my favourite faction. Edit: Woah, i really started some proper discuission here

Nords are by far my favorite faction. They’re frankly OP in my opinion the huscarls tank just about every thing and deal massive damage. Only a cavalry charge in an open field deals any real damage.
