Real talk that is needed, CMIK! A few too many people IMHO try to say that they are knowingly jealous inferiors who are trying to trick us into thinking they're superiors. I think it's far worse than that. Those folks are completely delusional in exactly the way that you say. Initially? Of course not. Then that mask slips and slips. Clues to this false self? I had a narc ex who's best friend died. He went round to his dead friends mum's house as did everyone else. When I asked him how it went, he said that he wouldn't go back round there the next day with all his other friends. When I asked him why he replied because "everyone was crying." I asked him if he cried and he said no. Just by the look on his face I could tell that he did not feel what everyone else felt, their tears were an inconvenience for him. He basically was just going so he can spend time with all his friends, it was just a social event to him. The sad thing is his best friend that died thought so much of the narc that he even named his son after him. They are truly empty shells, and if they weren't so cruel we would feel really sorry for them.

To a narcissist: Your facts are 'opinion'. Their opinions are 'facts'. If a narcissist says 2 + 2 = 5, then it is 'true' as 'proven' because the narcissist said it. And if you disagree then you're 'wrong' because your facts do not match the narcissists opinion. That's the warped thinking of a narcissist.

I think most of them know they are creating a facade for you, just playing a character they created just for you. But for them the relationship is something else, not what they present it to be to you. Because they are always juggling multiple relationships so it’s all fake and they know it. You are never the only one. There is always a back up plan that they are grooming just in case or trying to bring into the relationship.

Years ago psychologists called this creating a shared fantasy. We become a character in their drama and you are in the end , replaceable. There is an absence that you feel when you see this dissonance about how they act. It made me blame myself because I felt this emptiness and I could not put my finger on it. They take a snap shot picture of you in their minds when you first meet them and that is who they relate to. My X had a decade long affair and also cheated on her, as well and when this came to light he said, " Oh , they were just balls in the air". If they put you in unrealistic dangerous situations, it is delving in psychopathy. You are very wise in your observations because I am a senior and I am impressed at your clarity.

The emptiness you speak of,M, feels like standing on the edge of a cliff, with a queezy stomach. It’s how we feel when we give someone a gift, and they don’t ever say thank you. We expect normal civility and courtesy in our daily interactions, and so wait for the thank you……but it doesn’t come. It’s a small form of silent treatment. Being ignored.

Yes I had to discard my ex narcissist! I noticed his patterns became more frequent and then came the future faking and hovering! I had enough cause clearly he didn't care about my feelings and just disregard everything that we've talked about! I did everything for him to try and keep him happy! But the fact that he could walk away so easily from a two year relationship without trying to work on things or himself, is enough confirmation for me to stay away and never look back!! It's sad that these relationships means absolutely nothing to them!! They are truly cruel pathetic creatures!! The hardest pill to swallow for me is that for the first time in my life I was in a fake relationship! Its really hard to grasp!

You made a great point when you said there’s nothing real for the narcissist to present anyway. That is so true. They have to keep a façade going because there’s nothing but emptiness underneath the mask. My ex narc was so crazy. They would repeat lines from movies in real life, and also depict actions of scenes of movies and put it into real life. Talk about running out of narcissistic supply. They always needed new material and didn’t care where they got it. When I called them out on it, they acted like I was insane.

Thank you! This is one of the very best videos on this craziness we've been through. It perfectly describes my four years spent with my sneaky conniving ex-girlfriend. She truly wanted me to give up everything in the hopes it would all work out with her....after she left her husband and nuked their 10 year marriage to run off and marry me. it actually started to scare me with the thought of starting my life over at 46 years old all the while dealing with her psychotic behavior i saw the whole time. she turned out to be a true rat-snake stealing $1200 from me before the discard for the new guy in the end. A total waste of four years of my life. Lesson learned.

I just think you blew off a bunch of good hearted, decent women in your league to be in hot pursuit of some really pretty unavailable girl who was out of your league physically and you jumped at the opportunity to white knight your way into being with her because under any other circumstances she never would have given you the time of day if she was solid in her marriage, and emotionally and financially stable. You purposefully positioned yourself to get close to an out of your league hot girl with emotional, relationship, and financial problems. Meanwhile there's a woman or women out there who are emotionally and financially stable who have probably tried to date you multiple times and express their desire to marry you but you overlooked them because maybe they weren't the prettiest or skinniest or most charming woman in the room but they would have loved you unconditionally and pulled their weight financially and would have always been dependable and loyal. So your loss buddy.

I am amazed every time I listen to your videos. You may not have professional training or degrees, yet you NAIL it all down with such specificity, accuracy, and truth! There are some great pros out there with very educational info, but your videos help me feel so validated in precisely what I witnessed and what I am now understanding if a 20 year relationship with a covert narc who ripped me and my life to shreds. It is as if you had a relationship with the same guy! It hurts like hell but it is the reality. I wish I had understood the red flags I saw early on for what they really were. I hope that his new supply in Utah does not suffer the way I have. This man can never actually love or emotionally connect with anyone, and he has been this way his entire life. It can never change. When all the whirlwind vacations and adventures calm down, and the love bombing ends, she will learn who he really is, and it isn’t anything she thinks. Thank you for these videos!! They help!

All my creativity was taken away for a few days,I couldn't think,at first I thought it was just a short spell but it continued for days. I began to panic but at the same time I realized that everyone still saw me to be the same person,so not to lead them on, I started to pretend to be me and really felt like I had no choice, there was nobody there (inside). I felt like I might never get back myself. It was at this point that i realized how a narcissist felt EVERYDAY OF THEIR LIVES. It turned out I was coming down with the flu, after recovering everything came back to normal,but the lesson learnt was invaluable. Now I understand,now when I pray I make intercessions for all narcissist, actually I pray for all those that lost their way. One have to experience existing without an anchor to relate,and I give thanks for that experience.

It’s so bizarre how the narcissist in my life was my female doctor, MARRIED mother of FOUR. I _never_ expected her to be anything but my doctor, but then one day she coerced me into undergoing a physical where she molested me against my will. I didn’t realize that when she had prescribed me Prozac for my depression and anxiety, it would become a psychological LEASH by which she could coerce me into things against my will. It’s so hard fighting back against someone like this. At least 25% of the people I tell this story to think I’m crazy because “you’re SUPPOSED to get your nuts fondled during a physical.” Yeah. If you KNEW ahead of time that’s what was going to happen AND you agreed to it!

Tell me about it. (eye-rolls) My husband's narcissistic SIL spent years telling us about how "great" she is at work, and how much work everyone dumps on her, so she's the victim (projection). She was certain that she would get a job promotion when her supervisor retires. Fast forward to the present and yes, her supervisor has retired, but she's doing all the extra work without a promotion attached. This is also the same person who told everyone that she already knows how to parent, when she was only pregnant with her first, and she does not touch nor interact with my kids.... Narcissists are definitely frauds.

If you want to be a lion trainer don't be surprised if it rips off your arm one day despite years of "bonding". You can still like or love lions but you need to know what they are. No need to hate lions for being lions. Just stay away from them if you like having limbs or staying alive and if you want to work with lions at a zoo then just know the risks and what to expect.
