Obviously you drew me in with the title, and the information was interesting. But -- may I suggest that, when you give visual examples, you give *age-specific examples? If this is about women in their 80s, why show examples of clothing, hair, and make-up etc on women half that age? Make it real. Show the linen pants on an 80 year old, show the "natural" looking make-up on a wrinkled face, show the hairstyle that lifts an 80 year old's sagging skin, show that gold cuff on a pale arm.. I'm not criticizing, I'm just suggesting that this would have been much more helpful with visuals that correspond with the narrative.

My mom, who passed away in February at 83, looked great in everything she wore. Over the years of shopping together, she went from a size 14-16 to a size 4 for various reasons, but she always found flattering clothes. She would start out with key pieces she wanted, I would run all over the store pulling ideas together, and she would narrow them down and try them on. She especially liked Talbots, Laura Petites, Melanie-Lynn, and had great luck recently at Olsen’s. Bomber jackets, blazers and jean jackets (white and also dark wash denim) were her thing. When I brought her something patterned, she would often just say ‘no thanks’. When I was younger, I wondered why she would spend so much on a white T-shirt while I thrifted or bought clothes on sale. But buying quality was a big part of her look. She loved to stay current. I am going to be donating a lot of her clothes to Dress for Success, because they are in good enough shape to be useful to women who need them for job interviews. Thank you for this video. It gave me a chance to remember her love of fashion and appreciate the style of your viewers as well 💐

I’m in my 80’s and my favorite place to shop is EBAY! I shop all the very best brands and everything is only a fraction of the original cost, everything is in great condition and all of it comes direct to my door so I don’t have to go walking around in a store or spend time finding a nearby parking place. I am at my most stylish and most frugal at 84!

Thank you! I will be 84 next month and dress as I want to! The things I won’t wear is a short list headed my ankle length pants. They are floods always and forever. It’s nice to know I’ve mostly made right enough choices given my circumstances. Thanks again for not forgetting us 80 sometimes.

At 83 i have always loved clothes and as i live in italy try to keep up with the italian style. Shopping in small boutiques also in slovenia. I now wear mostly casual clothes adapted to my current lifestyle . Find your videos very interesting and useful . Thanks❤

A Tshirt with padded shoulders have been helpful. I was surprised how much you are right on with your suggestions, statement jewelry and hats are good for a signature style.

@@grandmajane2593 I’m 79, my senior friends like my style well enough to ask for advice. The tee shirt is worn under a larger looser shirt, cause I agree padded tee shirts by them selves do look goofy.

The inexpensive big "charm bracelet" style from Publisher's Clearing House has a big easy clasp and is non allergic and not expensive. My mom lived to be 102. And you can put a little real coffee in that bottle of Boost! Glamour never ends, be well! Also Sketchers has slip on sandlals now. Great to see you on line at 85, that rocks!

First time I have seen you and I'll be back. I think hands really looked after, nails neat and a fabulous haircut are the most important details. We can just wear a basic top and bottoms, skirt or jeans but if the hair and hands are great you'll always look put together. Thanks Nada, see you again.

I am over 80 and still work a bit as an RN. I am enjoying being nearly 60 pounds less than a year ago. I have been giving all of my old clothes away so I'm not tempted to wear overlarge, baggy clothes.

I am in my 80th year and I have never had to ask anyone about my clothes I stick to white shirts, tailored skirts and trousers. A couple of tailored dresses, a. Burberry trench coat, a beautiful cape coat With a beautiful elegant hat with a jaunty feather. That is just one or two of my wardrobe…..I also get compliments regularly. Please speak in a quieter voice, please DONT GABBLE.🇬🇧🥂

We are trying to fit in the same 10 sizes. Well said. I’m a petite 18 on the bottom and only Jjil and lands end make anything for this size and for that reason, they sell out very quickly in that size. I do order a lot from Etsy.

🍒EARRINGS!!!🍒♥ My mom was 86 when she passed away last year. Closet full of sweater pairs, just like her 1950s college days 😃same scarves as me in my 40s but slightly milder palette - she was 4'8 filipina "doll". I am mixed, so higher contrast & larger frame

Bigger clasps on jewelry, the charm bracelets type sold by Publisher's Clearing House are non-allergic, and look expensive and are easy to get on and off, good gift, also older pals/relatives gift them a set of new bath towels!

Comfort and colour. Shoes have to be comfortable ...underwear has to be comfortable. Dress for the weather.. know you colours.......scarfs are nice around the neck.....buy two of things that you like.....becouse I know Il wear it and probably wear it out.. get a good full lenght mirror

I have been to several stores and am unable to find any belts in lighter colors. The belts are black and brown and don’t match what I wear in the summer months.

All the old ladies in the elderly complex wear pants with a long shirt covering the bulge of the undergarments. And a baseball cap for some reason. I think it's to shield the sun in their eyes. What old ladies are you observing?
