So, I really like Beretta pistols. I have an M9 A4 and a 92x compact RDO. I love both of these pistols. They shoot great and look awesome! Now I’m getting to the punchline. I have another 92x compact that I had some trouble with. Called Beretta customer support and they said send it in and we’ll fix it. That conversation was initiated in April of last year. The pistol was received at their facility in the first week of May. You guessed it! …….it’s now 2023 and still no pistol. They are oh so polite when I speak to them on the phone, but no substantive answer as to when I get it back. I would really love to get this new version of the 92x with frame safety, but I’m scared to death that something might be wrong with it. I’ve owned many firearms from many different manufacturers over years. I can honestly say, without equivocation, that Beretta customer support is the most polite, but absolutely the least effective at solving warranty repair issues of any company in the industry!
@williamryan9195
@williamryan9195 9 месяцев назад
I believe their warranty repair issues stem mainly from not letting staff take responsibility for making their own call on customer concerns and also failures of Q.C on assembly and production. They are trying to hard to get the numbers up and letting defects get out the door. Perfect weapons seldom get sent back for rework. Maybe that hasn't sunk in or is not being promoted as a company standard.

I've been asking for an updated Cheetah for years. And I know a lot of people were happy to see the frame-mounted safety on the 92X Performance (though I'm not a fan of safeties in general; I run a 92G, so de-cocker only). This SAO version will surely please a number of people, though. I will say the MSRP on both this and the Cheetah 80X are a little steep compared to competitors, so I am a little worried they may flop and be quietly discontinued. Hopefully street price is quite a bit cheaper.

If they ever knock the standard edition down to around $500-600, I'll get one. Otherwise, I'd be more than happy to just use a Taurus PT92.

@@gutblaster187 Yeah, but that's still the standard slide-mounted safety-- I'm looking for frame-mounted.

@@ConradTheLonelyStump I didn't realize that there were so many people out there that liked TDAs that they can carry cocked and locked. Given how much Beretta's DA triggers have improved I figured most people were fine with a slide mounted, decocker only and a first DA trigger pull. I hope there aren't too many of you out there; I do hope Beretta continues to make the slide-mounted, decocker only models. Essentially you just want a SA gun with a DA for backup that you'd probably just shoot into the ground anyway😁
@ConradTheLonelyStump
@ConradTheLonelyStump Год назад
@@gutblaster187 If I'm going to be carrying any DA/SA pistol with a manual safety cocked and locked, I NEED it to be frame-mounted for easier accessibility.
@gutblaster187
@gutblaster187 Год назад
@@ConradTheLonelyStump I understand that; that makes sense. I'm just surprised there are so many people who buy DA guns only to avoid having to fire in double action by carrying cocked and locked. So DA becomes essentially a backup in case of light primer strikes.

Never going to have a single action only gun with no safety, trigger pull is much to short for that.

I had hopes until he said it was made in the USA. Usually, that is a good thing. It seems with beretta it is the opposite. Every a3 I saw with issues was a TN gun.

I just wish they would fix that optics mounting system or don’t have it optic cut so LTT can develop a proper optic system for it

About time for a SAO!!!! The pre travel and creep of the trigger does not make it compelling enough to get it unless they clean it up or someone mercifully puts out an aftermarket trigger. How much better is it than a cocked double action?

Girsan MC39 (beretta clone) essentially already did this. Its a frame mounted safety, It can be carried hammer down, safety on or off and hammer back safety on like a 1911

I've had three PX4's(two in 9mm, one in .45) and one M92A1(it's sleeping in the safe). Beretta's are very reliable and are accurate. This model is a dream pistol! in two tone it would be heavenly!! I hope to get one of these. The first thing I'd do if I bought the model in the video is toss those grips into the woods where they belong. BLACK grips!!!!

For shot show ask taurus if they would consider making a 22lr carbine that takes tx22 mags since tx22 mags work well with exentions to 25 rounds the mags are smaller and lighter then 10/22 mags and the market needs a 22 pistol carbine combo like 9mms
