Yep a whole lot of nothing. This is basically a content filler because he had to post something/anything like his “I’m just here so I won’t get fined” moment.
Titans fan here! Shane Bowen will absolutely surprise Giants fans pleasantly. He was the only coach last few seasons that did a half way decent job with abysmal injuries AND talent on our roster. Bowen is a solid hire.
There’s no point in overpaying for a running back if we do not invest more on an offensive line. As simple as that. Even when Saquon was healthy, he wouldn’t stop getting stuffed in the backfield. Giants are not in the position to pay for Saquon. Daniel Jones is often the main scapegoat but there was so many other things on the gmen than to just solely blame him, we had the second most sacks given up of all time.
yup! tough to pay a guy when the OL couldnt block whatsoever. With the additions we made this year, I think we should take solid steps forward and DJ should show why he was paid. At least I hope so
Tyrood Taylor being there is enough to know the Giants are about to pick another QB next year. Taylor has been the ultimate bridge QB since 2018. He's had to move out of the way for Josh Allen, Baker Mayfield, Justin Herbert, and Davis Mills. Since then, he's been a backup. But everywhere he's a starter, he's been replaced by someone who either plays well after taking over, or ends up becoming a star
Jesus loves you! God bless! Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Psalms 62 - Truly my soul finds rest in God; ... my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; ... He is my fortress, I will never be shaken. ✝🤍🙏💪
@@baxatakbaxatak2014it's been 8 years of this rebuild. Same o line issue, same offense sceme, same results. Need to get rid of Jones as he can't throw deep. With no Barkley to fear its gonna be rough.
Or Schoen understands this is a rebuild and those resources are better allocated elsewhere (o-line, edge, depth). It also helps that he got Singletary at a fraction of the cost. There are holes still, but not as many. If anything, this is a very young team.
@@just908blaze1 jon runyan and jermaine eluemunor are the major two OL signing along with 3 depth pieces. And they still signed Singletary who'll be a serviceable back
@@BoatOsaka eleumenor is cool but isn’t even being played in his best position. Runyan is meh at best and singletary had cj stroud at qb which makes life a lot different then when jones is.
@@just908blaze1 Carmen Bricillo did a lot more with worst. Call it cope or delusion, but I'm hella optimistic about that group of players. It ain't about name power, it's how they run as a unit
I’ve been a New York Football Giants fan for thirteen years and Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll are rebuilding younger players on this roster such as Malik Nabers, Devin Singletary and Brian Burns which can help our Defensively and offensively as well and I’m excited to watch this team play on Tv and preseason starts on August 8th which is a good thing just because I love wearing my New York Giants Long sleeve shirt with Kayvon socks
The Giants disagree which is why he's still on the roster. You can draft QB from Duke and still have bottom offensive line dated back to Eli. That next Qb will flop too if this doesn't change.
@@MoreNYGPlease no argument here except for the fact that when DJ came out of Duke he was known as a dink and dunk passer and the fact he got drafted before Herbert Allen and Jackson was a travesty, but hey that’s another remainder from Gettlemans brain dead decisions that set the Giants back 5 maybe 10 years.
The reality of it is, Jones should’ve been gone years ago but the Giants and Giants fans keep delaying the inevitable, all because they think he’s going to turn into the next Eli Manning. If Jones was really that guy, he would have more than just one decent season with the Giants by now.
Not signing Barkley wasn't a massive mistake, but one thing that is crystal clear is that Schoen doesn't understand value or how to read a market very well. He is better than Gettleman but not nearly as good as hyped.
Saquon leaving is not as impactful as people are trying to make it out to be imo as someone who has watched every single game of his entire career so far
As long as the Giants offense runs thru Danny Dimes they are going to struggle. Jones is holding this offense back. I think the Giants will be drafting in the top 10 again next season.
J&D drops great content .. this tho us Giants fan over the barkley thing dude.. the media is the ones keeping it going.. so except the comments to be wild on this one.
I think this allows us to not be one dimensional. It forces us to open the playbook more, especially with Daboll calling the offensive plays. I think they’ll surprise us
😂 not even close. That team had one of the better offensive lines in the league they played for a few years at that point. You’re talking O hara, dhiel, mckenzie, snee, etc. Closest they have is a single Andrew Thomas.
Asides the pass rush, I am struggling to see this Giants team as a contender at the moment. Yeah, sure, your pass rushers can generate pressure and get to the QB, but it means nothing unless your offense can convert those opportunities into points, or (possible, but very unlikely) your pass rushers manage to take the ball into the end zone consistently. The Giants aren't 0-16 tier bad, but this team is far from being a contender, with multiple holes in the lineup that still needs to be addressed. Their pass rush can make opposing QBs uncomfortable, but I think that is the lone bright spot for this Giants team. Even then, bear in mind that Burns and Lawrence are in their prime years, so if you can't maximize their potential at their peak, then what is the point?
They’re not supposed to be a contender just yet. Team is still rebuilding. It’s only been 2 years, this will take 3 or 4. They can try to compete while still missing some pieces, but there aren’t as many holes now as there were then.
in 2022 "the giants offense wasn't succeeding because of danny, he was succeeding because of them"... homie watch film from that year LOL. The o line was terrible, receivers were the worst in the nfl by far, and saquon had 10 rushing tds along with 0 receiving. Danny almost managed to get the same amount of rushing tds as quon while throwing for 15. He literally had no time to throw the football and in my opinion he did the absolute most with what he had by only throwing for 5 ints and winning a playoff game. As a giants fan I will admit he is average or slightly above at best, but to act like the offense surrounding dj was the reason for their success is absurd to say especially after watching every game that year
As long as the giants have Daniel jones they’re perpetually at the beginning stages of a rebuild which is a terrible position for a football team to because that means not only will you not be good but you won’t Be good for 1-2 more years after this season
Okay so letting him test the market was not a mistake, did you watch? Schoen didn't tag him out of respect for him ($11.9m), and for that kind of treatment Saquon came back with the offer the Eagles had made, and Schoen decided it was not in the best interest of the franchise. This isn't a having Saquon or nothing, this was A: have Saquon, or B: have cap to acquire players for more dire needs, and they went with Brian Burns. Saquon or Burns was essentially the question they've been asking themselves; I think they made the right choice.
Jones was never the guy and the Giants have given more than enough favors and then some. If Jones was really that guy, the Giants would have more than just one playoff with him by now.
Brian Burns did not sign a 5 year 87 million dollar contract. He signed a 5 year 150 million contract with the first 3 years guaranteed. You make it sound like they got him for a discount 😅
As a giants fan, how do you expect us to get better??? Do it all through free agency? No you have to get talent through the draft. You know there is a reason why the WORST teams get the HIGHEST pick. Its so they can get talent on their team. If a team never gets good players through the draft they will never be better, its how a rebuild works.
Hi enjoy the dislike for saying nothing in the video, and for having a lot of the nothing you did say make no sense. Not resigning saquon is something most football people agree with, the not paying running backs is legit the going opinion rn. Of all the giants many mistakes, refusing to pay him 13m’s a year was not one of them. If you don’t understand how the giants negotiations with Daniel jones went, and you’re complaining about those, then you’re either ignorant of the actual series of events, or you’re hindsighting which is pointless. But yeah dislike achieved so I can make sure this reaches less people.
sick of hearing devito and taylor played better ttan dj just compare the oline and teams dj played against dev ito and taylor had a better oline and easier schedule and healthier team. any of u haters see the dallas sf games? go watch them
