Just picked up a TG Fit for $200. With all the exercises available on this machine it can get a little overwhelming. You break this down to make it doable and still have fun. Thanks Mike for the motivation. Keep the videos coming.
Dude how did you get a TG FIT for 200 dollars, that's great. I've had about 3 total gym and all of them were free. It's kind of disappointing that no one understands the great value these machines hold. I would really really love a TG Fit. Rock on man
I've always wanted the total gym. I used it at a friends house back in highschool and it was fun to do but now im 37 and actually broke down and got one for around 400 the g5. it should be here tomorrow. going to pair it up with walking/jogging
Weirder has their own version with a handle bar I bought mine a few years ago under $200 does exactly the same thing with the added bonus of the handle bar and you can adjust the resistance
I had one of these 30 years ago and sold it 10 years ago biggest regret of my life, just bought a second hand one again and I’m soooo excited to get going again 👍
Have the FIT arriving tomorrow. At 66, looking forward to digging in. I've lost 20 lbs w/ no exercise-- 240 down to 220 -- standby when I get the sled! I'm on a roll and loving it!! BTW, love "Our Lady" grotto in the background! O Marie concue sans peche priez pour nous qui avons recours a vous
Love hearing that! Keep me posted on how it goes. I believe you're the first person who's acknowledged that. She's helped me greatly. Dominus Vobiscum!
Thank You for your video support. I am 60 and live in a remote location. Yesterday, i found an anniversary edition Total Gym in new condition with lots of attachments an all the DVDS, and i only paid $100 as it was in a pawnshop ! 😊
Solid video and I agree that those 3 exercises would basically work the entire body if people don't want to have a really long workout, maybe don't have the energy for it or if they don't have the time.
I like putting dip bars at the top of the glide board for pull ups. So much difference from a traditional pull up just by the way you have to position your hands/wrists.
Great advice keeps exercising manageable. Likewise, think to myself "there are five major muscle groups to to choose from...chest, back, arms, legs, shoulders" for circuit planning. Perhaps "push/pull/legs" perspective. The TG is excellent for arms and back maybe the TUT with higher reps. The pullover is amazing best back exercise period for mind/muscle connection. Also, the stretch with rows is wonderful compared to any other machine. Chest can be good if no lockout/pause keeping the motion in a fly/arc under constant tension. Eliminating rest or pause during the set is crucial. Lets not forget about rear delts/rhomboids too. So much...great machine.
Hello Mike I’m so glad to have found your videos. I’m a retired cement mason and I’m not ready to let my body fade away. Your videos have structure , and this is just what I’ve been looking for. By the way I’m from Pittsburgh. Your Boulder around your patio looks like a Pittsburgh thing. Thank You my man.
Thanks Joseph for those great positive comments. I'm not near Pittsburgh, but maybe whoever designed got some influence from you guys. Happy you found the channel.
I had a total gym years ago. The cat chewed up the bench really bad. Also the cables had worn out. I gave it to a friend, and it was really in such bad shape, we threw it out. Now I’m so busy during the week, I don’t have time to go to the gym. Just ordered a new, updated Total Gym. I can’t wait until it gets here.
Thank you!!! I am 65 in good shape. I was wondering which exercises to concentrate on for a good over all workout. I can do these 3 exercises and fatigue the muscles. Then do more isolation exercises. Great video.
Good stuff. Thats the great thing about the TG- freedom of movement. About what you said about vertical pressing- of you press up while doing the chest press that will work the shoulders more and the chest less.
Thank you. It really depends on your goals. This is my most updated program that I think fit's with most people. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PVIopw8Hpzc.html
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU. At 62 and trying to increase my mobility and functional strength these will fit the bill! No excuse of don’t have time! A new subscriber here today because of this well explained super easy 3!!!
Many thanks Mike - i just got a Total Trainer {Similar to total gym) and it can be a bit overwhelming knowing which exercises to do - this is a great starting point for me - love your channel
It's a great machine that can be used at any age. This is all I use other than a couple of dumbells. But my goals were mostly fat loss while building some muscle and tone. Perfect for what I wanted it for.
Thanks, Mike. Got away from my TG for awhile and rediscovering. I subbed to your channel. I like your approach to your content and embracing a broad audience.
Can you post ones for those of us that have had knee replacement surgery? I cannot do the ones you posted where you are on your knees on the board. Thanks so much! I appreciate the videos you have posted!
You have your total gym outside, do you leave it out? Do you cover it with a tarp or anything when not using it? I’m concerned with rust eventually, but would love to get it out of my bed room so I have more floor space to VR box and whatever else.
For everyone who has a Total Gym, when you do the exercises, for example biceps curls, go down slowly for a count of 3 seconds, shoulder press also down for 3 seconds. Do this with all exercises. Don't do it too quickly, let you muscles do the work. Go from light to heavy, make sets of 5x10 reps per muscle group (so for each exercise). And then go lighter again, 5x10 reps, rest for 30 seconds between exercises. I also train this way, you will see results in 3 weeks, I promise.
I've just discovered your channel and your videos have been super helpful! Can you tell me if that larger TG squat platform would fit on the Weider Total Bodyworks 5000? Thank you!!
Great video, thanks for sharing! As someone with a bad shoulder and looking to get a full body workout in addition to injury proofing my shoulders and back, is there anything supplemental you would recommend or do you think these exercises will achieve what I'm looking for? Thanks again for all the great videos!
Thanks Michael. Check out this video on shoulder health on a Total Gym. I think you might find some useful information in there. Thanks for the comment!
REALLY appreciate that Elad. You guys are too nice. I'd like to think my mission on this channel is to "re-invent" what this machine is typically sold on doing.
Hello Mike. Here's my situation. 61 y/o male, recently shattered my left elbow. I needed a total reconstruction of elbow with titanium hardware. Before that, I used the Total Gym every other day. Working on arms and chest. What do you recommend to do on TG as part as rehab to continue to build muscle? Thanks
Hi Vincent. As far as what I would do if I were you, I'd stick to my normal plan (upper / lower split) choosing exercises that don't bother my elbow ( or cause pain). I know that's simplistic, but I wouldn't overly complicate it.
@@hybridresistance thank you for getting back to me. I appreciate it. Btw, have you ever demonstrated an exercise video for someone who may be slightly limited on their range of motion?
Just want to say I use these exercises a lot for my arms. And they got bigger. The question I have is how big can my arms get if I do it for a whole month?
you got a lot of different total gyms and other similar products the sliding boards do they fit on other total gyms it's the only part total gym doesn't sale
In this video I'm using this one (discount in link along with attachments) www.anrdoezrs.net/click-100402910-13904902 also all attachments should be linked in the description
