Excellent review of a lovely looking engine . Have just ordered a weathered version with the early crest from Track Shack models in the Isle of Man at a good price . Looking forward to receiving mine . Great detailed layout you have too
Matt I'm a diesel fan but your review of this model has got me wanting to buy it.Very good review and a good look at what to expect from the model.I think that when you put a chip in it the slow start off might improve.Thank you for helping me spend money I don't yet have :)
Hi what a great locomotive runs well on 1st Radious and 2nd Radious no problem at all I also have the Hornby maroon one runs well but this one is a great locomotive well detailed
Great loco Matt. I agree with the escalating costs associated with model railways but like most things that are popular it becomes a cash cow for the manufacturers. They obviously argue about development and tooling so you cant win Matt. Looking forward to your run over Easter and I hope you have a good one. Rob
That loco looks amazing. I quite like 2-6-4 tanks. A bit of wait is a good thing to have in an engine then it won't have many problems pulling some heavy things up a gradient. I think the locomotives are expensive because of all the detail. If you look at some of the Hornby ones they have just a plastic top with not much detail. Can't wait to see this running in your next videos.
Nice review Matt, nice loco, but your right about the cost they are escalating way to much, but really we're all to blame, we keep on paying their inflated prices, but there again its difficult to resist when its your hobby and they know this. .......Graham
Awesome review, Matt! Why not have the Fairburn Tank running on the Clifton Branch during your running session on Easter Sunday. I know I sent a comment to you on Facebook, it's just a remainer for you. Again well done for the review. 😊
Nice review Matt...mone of my favourite British tanks.... what are you rusting your rails with? p.s have you seen the peco loco lift I use that item for delacate locos with arkward wheel arrangements Jim
All we want is cheap en the best, but yeah a hobby is expensive,my loco,s(steam)NEW cost around 400 to 500 ponds dcc ready and sometime dcc fitted if you heave luck, and i come from the Netherlands. Greetings
