High school dxd is kinda unironically an interesting action anime with creative world-building

High school DxD is clearly the greatest wholesome slice of life ever created

Highschool Dxd is one of those ultra rare harem ecchi animes with an actual plot and story to tell. While there is fanservice, the development of the characters, each of their tragic backstories and the world building is very good. As for Issei, every man agrees, Issei is the greatest gigachad of all time, a living legend and an inspiration for all men of all ages

As someone who read the novel and dxd fanfics for years, Highschool DxD is honestly underrated in my opinion, the world building is actually great compared to those other harem ecchi anime novels

Weirdly enough, for a fan-service anime the plot wasn’t half bad

I've always found it so damn ironic that the people who don't enjoy DxD are literally unable to ignore all the boobs but call you perverse for enjoying the story. Like, my brother in christ you didn't last a single chapter

I legitimately like this anime more because of the tokusatsu elements than the "plot". It's allways exiting to hear Ddraig spam "BUST" non stop right before Isey beat the shit out of a villain.

You should definitely check out the novels. The anime butchered the volumes and cut off a lot of content, and the season 5 is going to adapt the peak of DxD storytelling volumes which are 11 and 12

Season 1-3 was ok. Surprised I got some response when I wrote in some forums that I couldn't go beyond 5 minutes into season 4 and the animation wasn't my issue but the dance part.

Come for the “plot” stay for the plot

i started high schoool dxd when i was 13... 2 years from now..

First watch was for the "plot". Second watch was for the action and story. When you skip all the ecchi parts, and listen to the story-telling, then you really see the anime in another light. Beyond the boobs, the story and action and everything else are perfect. Truly a hidden gem among breasts.

season 4's animation was a little weird but I think the plot with the tournament arc and the final fight scene were very good

HsDxD has long been my absolute favorite ~ LN series; ANIME series (even if they dropped the ball 2/3 of the way thru season 3> which got the animation company dumped < the new animators corrected this issue by redoing the final arc of season3 in one extended prequel episode that got released 2 weeks before season 4 premiered; allowing us to get used to our fav. characters new cleaner look) as for the manga I've not read much of it but it didn't start when the LN began picking up speed, nor when the news broke that it was to be adapted into an anime series, no it was finally given the greenlight for a manga adaptation nearly 5yrs after the LN debuted which I found ironic that it coincided with season 3 which after airing we had to wait nearly 3 years for season 4 & when seasons 5 & 6 finally come out & the first episode of season 5 will likely debut around fall of 2023 making it 5yrs between season 4 & 5 but nevertheless you know; I know damn everyone knows that even people just remotely interested in anime even just slightly we tune in for HsDxD's season 5's debut just to see what all the hype was about!!! All I'm really hoping for is that after season 5 ends is that the 2 OAV's that have been promised is a possibility of an actual proper Highschool DxD anime movie covering some of the sidestory events or even something new but aligns with Ishibumi intentions even more would love to see him script the story for a new movie kinda like how he was behind the direction of the season 2 & 3 extra episodes ...anywho this is getting a bit long sooooooL8rsK8rs 'til next time🤘❤‍🔥💥😈

The anime is good and characters are interesting but I don't see people talk about the negatives of the series. Some characters aren't as developed as could be, power ups greater ass pulls than a Goku transformation, the pervertion is sometimes too much, no consequence for character death because plot, world building is lower than I'd expect, I think the writer is pulling a kishimoto with sasuske but mc with a harem

High School DxD is really good, has a plot that makes sense not just fanservice, tournament arc, training arc. It's just a pure anime. Character development is on point, especially Kiba and Akeno. Man I love this video it's a gem 😂

8:32 This was actually intentional, since her position in the chessboard ranking system that they had was the King, she didn't move much and mostly gave orders for the team, so most members of the team were stronger and quicker than her, but she still is powerful and is able to defend herself when stuck, or in "Check" (ex: the end fight of season 1)

Still waiting for season 5... maybe someday. What can I say I love every season. except season 3 ending - "Rias dragon power ranger" was such out of nowhere dumper fire... I prefer hating ending of season 3 than whatever people have problem with season 4 (except Rias looking like hamster till half of season then somehow she became normal, I can relate to that). When story is about "plot" the 'juicer' art style makes more sense to me
