I had never thought that the Song of Solomon book was very relevant to today’s world but our minister is preaching a series on it and it has truly opened my eyes to how beautiful the relationship between Jesus and His people is! What a picture to follow in my life. I’m hoping this Bible can shed even more light on that.

I just recently purchased this Bible for my son who is 24, and high-functioning autistic. He just recently gave his heart to the Lord, and is getting baptized next week. I'm praying that the way this Bible is organized will encourage him to want to read. He currently feels overwhelmed by other Bibles I have given him.

I have been looking at this Bible for a while now BECAUSE of its goal in showing all the treasure that can be found throughout its pages. I always had a difficult time reading the OT, because the NT is obviously flooded with Jesus’ life and His ministry. My favorite Bible study at church showed me some of the many ways in which the OT is a wonderful treasure hunt pointing us to Jesus! God has the perfect method of hiding Himself just enough for us to seek Him and grow in Him as we do so. Thank you for sharing a glimpse of this Bible with us!

Hi Asheritah! Thank you for reviewing this Bible. I didn't even know there's such a Bible like this. When I study the scriptures I usually go over a couple of translations here and there so I could grasp it and get different perspective or approach. But this Bible, I love how it explains how everything is relevant to Jesus because sometimes i have a hard time understanding the link to Jesus, especially with books in the Old testament.

I have been so focused on finding Jesus on every page of Scripture for a couple of years. I can't get enough of seeing Scripture through that lens. There are lots of helps out there for this and I am so glad. Having the helps in my Bible would be great. I think I have the hardest time seeing Jesus in Leviticus.

I love the concept of this Bible to really point us to Jesus on every page. I have the hardest time seeing Jesus in some of the drier passages in the OT - like lists of names, some of the genealogies and the censuses in Numbers, OR some of the more violent narratives of battles. Those passages where we scratch our heads and think, why is this even in here? Haha. I’m enjoying all the reviews- I’m pretty new to your channel and now want to go back and look at all the past ones. Thank you for doing them! 😊

I find that seeing Jesus is hardest in the earlier parts of the Old Testament. I would love to have this Bible so I can study it in a whole new way. I read the Jesus storybook Bible to my kids as they were growing up and I love that it is now in an adult version. I love the look of the cover, the side notes, the wide margins, and the other authors included within this Bible. Thank you and have great day!

Hello! I enjoyed your review. Excited to see ESV version for The Jesus Bible. Ecclesiastes (everything is meaningless) is the hardest for me to see how it connects to Jesus. Really interested in the commentary from the author/teachers that contributed. I also loved how you said the best Bible is the one in our home!! This looks great! I am excited for this! I have loved reading the kids version to my kids, so excited to check this out! Probably the hardest parts of the Bible to be engaged in, is some parts of the Old Testament, and some of revelation (since it is in the future, and how it relates to us today).

That's a beautiful cover! I have the gray cloth over board cover. Since there's no commentary, the margins are perfect for our own commentary notes to make it a personal "study" Bible. Thanks for sharing!

I am reading through the Chronological Bible again this year for the 4th time. I see more of Jesus with each passing year of life and as I immerse myself in the word. I don't know if I see less of Jesus but so far I find that the books of Leviticus and Numbers are ones I really have to push through although there are many hidden gems and treasures when you do.

This new bible sounds terrific. I struggle most with seeing connections in some of the minor prophets and the book of Ecclesiastes. The Jesus Bible sounds like the Bible I need because I have a difficult time seeing how the five books of the Law point to Jesus. Asheritah you make it sound so fulfilling and a must have. I have one daughter and one son. I am going to purchase one for each of them. Looking at the cover pages that tells how each point to Jesus is so needed. I'm impressed by hearing that there are so many articles throughout this new Bible that point to Jesus, all throughout the Old & New Testament. In a Bible, I typically like to find an ESV translation, and one with chapter intros that include approximate timelines, authors, maps, & a brief contextual background. I also like a good concordance, & topical index. Maybe even a proposed reading plan included.

I'm definitely late on this. But I am glad to have come across your post. I personally struggle with the laws as in the ten commandments of God vs. the law on the new testament. I have been a Christian for all I can remember, yet I have had less encounters with the Lord. This Bible looks like it has the tools to answer some of the questions I without judgment... I have started reading from the old testament and I hope as I progress on my journey with christ Jesus I will see him more in the old testament.

When I read the word, in the verses it says Jesus says, it helps me that I can say it too. and starting in Matthew, talks about all the generations of Mary and Joseph and Jesus. Every parable and story is Beautiful, I have been ministering to people who are in prison and jails throughout USA, sharing God's love for them and what Jesus did for us and how we can BE like Jesus and of course our Teacher Holy Ghost too. I am glad that as the children's Bible, we finally get an Adult one. Thank yo and God Bless you my Sister Asheritah

Even though I’ve grown up in the church, finding the connections of Jesus in the Old Testament is somewhat of a new concept to me. Some areas of the Old Testament are easier then others. I am currently going through a Bible plan for reading through the Bible in 52 days and it challenges us to find Jesus in each reading. I am in Genesis and it is something I would love to have a study aid for and I love that this Bible does just that.

I always believed in Jesus but I’m just starting out on trying to read the Bible and get started. One of the hardest things for me has been trying to find a Bible that explains how it all connects as one story and isn’t overwhelming with a lot of commentary and gives me a chance to learn and interpret things as God opens up to me.

My tough part of the Bible is OT. My Bible is KJV which a mentor teacher told me to get. Taking notes are what I need to keep track of my reading. This looks like a very good Bible to help me. I need to understand the words of Jesus.

Good Morning Asheritah! Thank you for taking the time to review this Bible. I think it looks awesome! I also sometimes struggle to understand how certain parts of the Bible point to Jesus. For example, it is hard for me to understand the times when he could’ve intervened, but chose not to. Part of the reason this is so heavy on my heart is my dad, Chane Eplin, passed away last year even though we were all praying for him for healing. I know God is sovereign, but it is still hard sometimes to understand why He didn’t choose to answer our prayers and allow my dad to live. He was only 60 years old and it was very sudden and shocking. Does this Bible address this topic? If not, do you know of a book that might be helpful? I read your book “Full” and loved it! Thanks!

I recently gave someone my personal bible that I've been using for 20 years. I have several bibles and enjoy them, but none of them feel like the one I gave away, so I've been watching your reviews closely and trying to win one each time. This looks like a good bible to just sit and read. To answer your question, I dont think any particular book of the bible is hard to find Jesus in, but there are certainly passages or even chapters that I have trouble with. The genealogies and the "instructions" in Leviticus are the most difficult for me.

When you said this Bible is like the kids storybook Bible for adults, I gotta be honest and say that I almost dismissed this Bible as an option for me! So I appreciate your review because I might not have considered it otherwise. I like the wide margins (I've never written in my Bible but am open to that now) and the articles/explanations on how each book ties to Jesus. I think for me it's hard to see Jesus in some of the minor prophets.

I would love to add this one to my collection...I think I have maybe 10. This new bible looks awesome! I am always looking for a bible that's word for word translation and one that's also translated into modern day English that makes it easy to read and understand. The OT is a hard one! Gen-Ruth I got through, and are 'fairly' easy to follow EXCEPT for Leviticus and Numbers...they are pretty dry.😉 (Revelation is another one that's rather hard to sit down and just read.) I've read the OT up to Isaiah and when I tried to read some from the first few chapters, I couldn't make sense of it so I just couldn't go any farther in the OT. This new bible looks like 'maybe' it could get me through the rest of those books of the OT perhaps? From what you've shown us in this video, this one looks like maybe there's more information contained in it to maybe make it more understandable, so that maybe a person can know more clearly what's being said and what's happening. Every bible I have purchased I always hoped it was "the one". 😂 The current translation I'm using now is the NASB 2020...pretty good translation! Next to that one is the ESV, which I'm glad to see this translation in the new bible. Would love to win one!

I grew up in church but connecting Jesus to the Old Testament is not really something that was taught. We spent a lot of time in the New Testament so studying the Old Testament now is something I’m enjoying. I like how this Bible connects the two.

What a beautiful Bible! I find a lot of difficulty in connecting books in the Old Testament like Numbers, Deuteronomy and Leviticus to Jesus. I understand the importance of the information contained within those books to the Jewish people, but I find it challenging to see how all those rules and regulations connect to Jesus.

When I just started out reading the scripture, I couldn't understand the book of leviticus. As I kept on reading, it was eye opening on how all the sacrifices point to Christ. Even in the four Gospels the Lord is presented as one offering. In Matthew - He's presented as Sin offering, in Mark as Trespass offering, in Luke as Peace offering and in John as Burnt offering and in all the four we can see the Lord as the Meal offering. I'm new to your channel, I don't know if the giveaway for " The Jesus Bible" is still on, if so I would be super grateful!

I had this bible and was happy to get it and it was beautiful, but the font size is small (8.7) and I couldn't read it and had to send it back. The NIV has a larger font (9.7). Hopefully they will come out with a large print.

I have the hardest time with the Old Testament Genealogy where there are lists and lists of names that are hard to even pronounce and also in Numbers. I’ve been reading the Bible and trying to understand since the beginning of this year.

Hi, there. Thank you for what you do. 😇 I would say a part of Scripture that’s hard to tie to pointing to Jesus is primarily in the OT where it talks about how God has actually created/allowed some wicked people solely for the reason of serving His purposes. (So much slaughter and death really drives home the concept of mankind going their own way rather than trusting and relying upon God, although that also demonstrates the nature of man apart from the One true God.) We are given free will, yet some people’s hearts He hardened. I get what that’s about, but I see that as potentially more of a consequence for sin (after the fact) rather than tying that into pointing to Jesus (aside from demonstrating the need for His arrival and redemption of us). So, I am interested to see how this Bible addresses that.
