I only played a bit o MTG (mostly the Arena video game) but watching your videos on the colors of mana I notice that each color seem to represent a different trait of humanity. I don't think there is just a little bit of blue in all of us, I think there is a little bit of every color. Before your video I had no idea the lore of the color of Magic, of all things, could be so interesting, thank you for that. Also I might implement it in my D&D games instead of alignment, like your other video suggested =V

Ok so almost completely unrelated to the video I wanna talk about this one webcomic called unordinary (highly recommended btw) that accidentally made all it's characters not only aligned with colors in interesting ways but also has their powers match their colours. There will be spoilers here so beware. So the world of unordinary is one where every person is naturally born with superpowers, and a hierarchy based on the strength of the powers has been formed. The comic mostly takes place in a school, which has a king, the strongest male student, a queen, the strongest female student, a jack, which is agreed upon by the king and queen, and an ace, which is the previous queen who chose not to continue taking on the responsibility of being the queen. Now what's interesting about this is the king, and villain of the first arc, Arlo. Arlo believes very strongly in the hierarchy, the state and order. At one point a number of other students are beating up the main character, who is at the time pretending to not have a power, there by putting him at the bottom of the hierarchy. Arlo finds this offensive, not that they're beating him up, but that they're doing it in a random and unhelpful manner. Several people teaming up against one person doesn't help determine which one person should be higher in the hierarchy. He finds out that the main character, John, has been hiding the fact that he's much stronger than Arlo ever was and this makes Arlo incredibly mad, because John isn't fitting into the system the way he should be. To Arlo, John choosing to not use his power is irresponsible and cowardly. A person who is angry at the fact that someone hasn't beaten them up and taken their job is a bit strange but makes a lot of sense for a white/green aligned character of this type. He's a very white aligned character, and I'd argue with green as a secondary colour. His power is a shield that causes recoil damage to those that hit it. That could easily be translated into an eye for an eye style effect or damage reduction or toughness pumping, a very white green effect. John on the other hand is a black/red character through and through. He has absolute contempt for the hierarchy of the society he lives in, no respect for the social rules and is just angry and violent at every opportunity, to the point where he eventually becomes quite problematic. His power is copying abilities he's seen in use recently. Which is almost exactly what tibalt does. So a story with a red/black protagonist and a white/green antagonist. That's a bit fun isn't it.

I love the format you've been using for these videos so far. The quote at the beginning, the way you explain their perspective on the beginning, how they move forward, what they'd value in their version of a utopia, and what the color looks like in a less fantasy oriented setting. I'm also a big fan of how you included the inner conflict of blue in this one and how it is pulled toward black and white, which are at odds with one another. I don't think you did that in the video on white, which is fine, but it's definitely something I personally like to see and think helps explain a color in more detail. As always, I'm looking forward to the next video

at heart, i am blue, but my relationships to other colors fluctuates ; sometimes, white and black offer the most ideal unions of purpose - sometimes, red and green offer things white and black cannot ~ i'm not a scientist, tho, but a storyteller, and that artistry makes me look to red for the spark of inspiring emotion that fuels innovation *

While I agree with the main content of the video, that blue is fundamentally intellectual, you missed a critical aspect, water. At least when I was playing Magic regularly there was a saying that blue was "The true EVIL color" for its slippery ability to easily counter the spells of the other colors. Something as a Johnny I thoroughly enjoyed doing to the infinite frustration of my Spike friends. This is the best example I can give of blue's water aspect, like trying to fight a tsunami.

Blue always feels like the color of process. Therefore it works with black and White, not really caring for morals, but accepting Them to find the truth

3:35. I'm a software engineer. My favourite MTG color is blue. It checks out.

Blue is also the color of logic in the face of emotion. Making decisions based of data and not gut instinct.

I find Blue the primary part of my personality, the need for ever-improvement and growth to reach as high as I possibly can. While I do have significant amount of red that tempers Blue with the desire to match this improvement with personal gratification as well, I find that it's more a core of blue with other colors that shape it.
