Damn the fact that they're fighting with their eyes closed makes it seem like they don't want to face the reality that they have to fight each other. I love the use of bland color for the background and having thier powers used to bring life to the animation. Amazing 💜💚

whoever is confused by what this is from, it's from the movie The Prince of Egypt. (The story of Moses from the Bible) This a MASTERPIECE made by Dreamworks. I highly recommend this movie!

these guys remind me a lot about Quetzalcoatl(the Feathered Serpent of the Dawn, Wind, Knowlage and Wisdom) and Xototl( the Eye-less Dog of the Dusk, Lightning, Heavenly Fire and Death).

I feel like there should be a whole story, background, and continuation for this. And after the song actually ends I see the guy wake up and I'm just like, "Oh dude, you and your brother are so screwed." I actually felt genuinely bad for them both.

So, I kinda used this fight as the basis for a core storyline for a D&D campaign. The oldest of four lesser god siblings felt spurned after the youngest was selected to succeed their father as a greater god, and staged a coup to take the power by force. He failed, and was sent to the mortal plane to live as a demigod until he learned humility and respect for his family. Instead he used what powers he had left to enslave the populous of the continent and began building a spire to try and force his way back into the divine plane. His youngest brother, now a greater god, chose to duel him, with the condition that if the elder won, he would be granted divinity again, but if he lost, he would free the mortals and be imprisoned below the very spire he built. They fought, [the fight going similar to the enigmatic] and the elder lost. He was stripped of his power and empire and chained beneath the spire, a heavenly host set to guard him as his name was lost to time, and his very existence forgotten for countless years, until the start of the campaign. I just wanted to let you know how your work inspired me, and that I love seeing creators make such amazing projects that inspire others as well. You're amazing at what you do and I hope you'll continue to do what you love.

I became somewhat obsessed with this song a while ago (you don't have to be religious to appreciate this FANTASTIC music) and I love this cover so muuuch. It's well done, and they have great voices. I really like how you can see that the purple brother is clean cut and his lines are perfect. Meanwhile you can see how unhinged and crazed the blue brother is based on hos lines being a bit more sketchy. It's a really interesting tool to use that I think came out really well. Seriously the animtic is awsome

I love the portrayal of purple as calm vs blue being wild. It is common to see purple as evil so this is a nice change.

This was thoroughly enjoyable to watch! I loved how you sort of swapped the original context of the song into something more tragic so that Noah came off as even more malicious! And even the stylization of their energy/magic, I loved it! The details big and small are thoroughly enjoyable, and I wouldn't mind seeing a full animation of this. I find it fascinating that now that this is 2-3 steps removed from source material, the narrative in the animation is different from the original movie, in that the character represented by (representing?) Johnathan Young/Ramses is the one with the power to create plagues while the character represented by Caleb Hyles/Moses is a community leader fighting to protect his people from his brother's plagues, rather than the reverse (Not that Ramses was allowed to care about his people in the original story). On top of that it works really well. I'm sort of wondering if the lyric Caleb Hyles sang as Moses (there's one sung by Ramses in the movie) helped with or lent itself to this transformation? It's a minor detail so probably not.

That last note always gives me chills. I can hear that beautiful harmony between Jonathan Young and Caleb Hyles (JY being Noah and CH being Ned) and it feels so dark and sad but so powerful. Jonathan's voice gives Rameses this much more powerful and angry feeling, and that given to Noah feels absolutely bone-chilling. The soft voice but determination in Caleb's voice expressed in Ned makes you feel his pain and longing for the fighting to stop. Theres so much feeling in this animatic, great job Yamz!!!
