Hi Jenn I completely agree with you, I was that person thinking I can save while I still have debts then in April I just decided to release those savings and started attacking my debts yoh it was a priceless feeling when I closed the first debt. I just don't know why I didn't start sooner but hey Im glad i learnt from all my financial mistakes and I'm happy that in two months I'll be only left with the bond 😂I just can't wait. Dear Jen. Your work is amazing. This is so realistic, most of it is what we are going through. I personally don’t have any other debt apart from my home loan at the moment and started my savings journey BUT all of that is now gone due to black tax.

Hi Jen, thank you for your encouragement, I remember last year you had a debt reduction excel and I bought it, it was had to cut more things and focus on paying off the loan. I just finished paying my loan in April, I was over the moon with happiness after that last payment. Jooo🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

I hear u very well Jenn. Too much information doesn't do us well. It's even worse when u not practising the information u consuming. Like u said, apply ur mind at the end of the day. Am at the point of my life where I'm realising I can consume all financial information I'd like but as long as I'm not applying it and prioritising what works for me I won't get anywhere unfortunately 😔. I had a loan with Capitec an overdraft with standard bank, I'm proud to say they r fully paid from now forward I can start looking into investing and saving, also having a car (fully paid) I have realised I need an emergency fund. Having a car its an expense on its own which you'll never understand until u have a car, same goes for a house.

Thanks for this video, it explains well what you meant from the previous one. It is like let us stick to the basics before investing. You can't invest without having the Savings first. Let us have an emergency fund first before taping into investing.

This video was made for me, in 2020 when Corona hit I was buried in financial content and gosh it made me self vindicate myself a lot that I let myself down. Had just started a better paying job, still at it. The job doesn’t come with no benefits, you just get your salary. The realisation that should anything happen I am without nothing, I got into EasyEquities(glad I did) for TFSA for retirement pocket. But every time people share their portfolios I am inspired yet still feeling why didn’t I start early but true you also have a hundred other things happening at the time you cannot commit to the investing. Hi, thank you for your video. Also swiping using cards for paying things was making me over spend. I had to draw money and pay cash for things other than debit orders that helped me in tracking my spending and overspending.

I felt this, i joined stokvels this year and it was a bad move cause i was not in any position to save, imagine not being able to contribute to the stokvel no one forced you to join, eyi ngiyazi judger nami😢But anyway its a lesson learnt and i understand my situation now
