This is probably one of the most satisfying ends to a movie ever. I love the fact that Saint was left to bleed AND burn to death while still having time to process the fact that he'd been done up like a kipper, that his friend and mrs were loyal to him, and that his friend was a secret lemonade drinker to boot.
Thomas Jane was outstanding in this role. He conveys and even exhibits alot of combat tactical knowledge. He also plays the character very well, a highly intelligent ex soldier with an attitude, he is out to avenge his dead loved ones and has nothing to lose in the process. I just love the Punisher's attitude Thomas Jane projected in this movie
Mercy is giving someone less than what they don’t deserve. Justice is giving someone exactly what they deserve. Vengeance is giving someone more than what they deserve.

I was really impressed by how this movie managed to make Frank Castle, easy to view as just a psychopathic meathead even on his best day, seem genuine and even justified in his approach to punishment here. All due credit to the writers, director, and especially Thomas Jane for their work.
I could not have worded it better myself. Your comment was first class. I believe it a great shame that they never made a follow up movie with Thomas. Personally, he embodies Frank Castle.
Most people love Batman, Superman, Spiderman, Daredevil, The Thing, The Incredible Hulk, Wolverine, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Thor, and Aquaman. For me it is the Punisher. The Punisher has no superhero powers at all. He can not fly, swim,swing or do superhero things like most. This guy is not afraid to go one on one with you and fight you like a man. The guy does not take no for an answer. To me having raw strength and power is cooling then having super hero strength!! Punisher FTW
There's no other greater satisfaction than seeing John Travolta burn and writhe in agony as he's blown to bits. I can watch this movie over and over again!

I Love this Movie and i always will Thomas Jane's Punisher has a Very Special Place in my Heart his Performance in this Movie, The Punisher 2005 Game and Dirty Laundry are Brilliant and Legendary.
What he did to the blonde guy was the best. That guy really suffered in those 10 seconds or so. The big irony in all of this is that the death of Saint's son in the beginning wasn't even Castle's fault. I still haven't seen this movie from start to finish, though the other night when it was on tv, I saw the part where Castle's family got killed. Before that, I had only seen the end, and thought that Castle was overly harsh. But then I saw how all his victims deserved what they got.
Blonde bodyguard personally suffered the worst, beginning of the film, gash to his face, witness his boss murder his wife and now within seconds shot himself in the foot, knife through his hand and side, finally knife through his mouth. Hell of a way to go, real punishment! 😂😂
That knife through the mouth wasn't even an insta-kill type of injury, either. I mean the movie implies that he fell over dead, but IRL he would have suffered for quite some time, and medical treatment could have saved him quite easily. ...Obviously he didn't get any treatment after the bombs went off and the building caught fire...
There should have been at least a trilogy of The Punisher with Thomas Jane. This is a very underrated comic book movie and Thomas Jane was perfect for the role of The Punisher.
A proposed sequel would’ve seen him go to New York and take on Jigsaw, who would’ve been Howard Saint’s son who survived the explosion. It ended up falling through and these plot points were used in the video game which Thomas Jane returned for
Punisher: War Zone was based upon the P:WZ comic, which had its own unique art style and storyline. The actor they chose for the P:WZ movie actually really emulated the comic's artstyle. Think of it kind of like the spiderman movies and how they have a new actor for "The Amazing Spider-Man", and think of P:WZ as kind of its own thing. But yeah I love Jane's interpretation of Frankie Castle
yeah, this movie was one of the best i've ever seen, and Jane portrayed the punisher very well, amazing job, great acting! But thats up to the producers, Jane will always be the punisher :) who knows if we dont see him again ^^
Bruh when he ties him to the bumper of the car, legit reminded me of when Achilles dragged Hector's body across the sand on his chariot in Troy lol. Straight up brutal.
As for the Punisher. Thomas Jane just nailed it. He was beyond. Not that anyone will read this, but John Travolta was perfect as being the bad guy. To all who made the movie. Well done. I loved it.❤
6:42 to 7:00 is when Howard Saint realized he had just fucked up. He killed Quentin and Livia for nothing but… they did deserve it. His whole world crashed and burned before his eyes.
Also, this punisher doesn't just go in guns blazing. The punisher is ex-military, remember? He plans things weeks, even months in advance before he goes in. That's what makes him so deadly--his skill with guns combined with his tactical knowledge make him a match for anyone. He fought Spider-man to a standstill, remember?
Thomas Jane must have worked out extremely at the gym for this movie. You can tell just by the way the clothes just hang very tight on his body. Looks like lots of good ab workouts to me.
Not really he looks pretty average. The role needed him to look lean but not bulky. You don't have to work out to the extreme for this look. A basic workout routine and clean eating can achieve this look. Probably an hour a day.
Kenneth Hartsock do you lift? A good diet and nutrition with a proper routine can easily create this look. It's not hard it's about being consistent. Just look at him in his younger years. He's not bulky just lean. It's totally achievable if you know what you're doing

Love this movie!, they never had anywhere near the budget you would need for a movie lke this, that`s why it was set in Florida instead of New York, which is a total shame and seemed to upset and confuse alot of people. They should definitely have made a second one. Maybe Marvel will get the rights back and be able to produce one.
Going in with the now and arrow made sense from a tactical standpoint. It makes virtually no noise. It was only after he blew up the whole room with a mine did he go with the assault rifle.
Don’t think the second did well but idk. Even then marvel had great movies but disney took over and i dont think people enjoyed these movies until much later. That is what art is sometimes.

He shot his foot off, I thought this movie was the best Punisher, it was more believable. Jane added like 40 pounds of muscle for the role and ate allot of fish and chicken. The guy in Warzone, just wasn't the Punisher too me. If they make a number 3, I hope producers lure Jane and the original writer/director back. They were a good combo.
