I think there is the reason why migthy and ray is not in mordern migthy and ray are in their own adventure as what migthy describe as an adveture type of person while ray follow migthy just like sonic and tails and sega don't add ray cause we got tails and they don't add migthy because we got kunckles i think that is also the reason why he not in chaotix is because migthy were on adventure with ray on their own and i think that poster was from chaotix but yeah is unexplain
Iizuka separating Classic and Modern Sonic is one the most baffling decisions I've seen. I don't know why he is so against using stuff from classic games like characters, Anyone being able to turn super, and Hyper Sonic.
It's stuff like this is why Sonic's universe feels so small and empty. The main characters are everything and the world around them can't contain anything of value. It's just Sonic, Tails and Eggman in an empty cardboard world, Green hill Zone floating in an empty void.

I guess one thing you didn't really mention was that Mighty in the Fleetway Comics is a very different character from Mighty in Archie, Mighty in Archie while he has anger issues has them more under control and is more soft spoken and peaceful, in Fleetway, he is just so angry it is funny sometimes. I guess if I had to compare Archie Mighty is more like the Iron Giant whereas Fleetway Mighty is more like Rapheal from TMNT.

Originally, "Chaotix" was supposed to be called "Sonic Stadium;" Mighty was supposed to be Sonic, and Tails would also have been playable. What's left of Tails can be found and accessed through debug mode, but isn't usuable...
Tails (multiple stars in Chaotix) is able to be used in earlier prototypes but he is very buggy. It has behaviour extremely similar if not identical to Tails
You know, I'm actually starting to believe that the Classic games and the Dreamcast/Modern games are two different universes, with each of them being different from the other. Mighty, Ray, Fang/Nack, Bean and Bark are present in the Classic universe, but aren't in the Modern universe. (Unless you count cameos) They're also present in the comic universes, like Archie and Fleetway. (Rephrased)
Know I honestly think that mighty and ray feel like spin off characters of knuckles and tails because they similar ability's such as ray being to glide and tails being to fly, but their kinda the same thing and might and knuckles being both hard hitters.

Iizuka separating modern and classic makes no sense especially when adventure and generations mentions the classic games as taking place in the past. I don’t see them as separate since it just fits better and makes the sonic universe larger when they are together and I’m sure some others at sega view it this way too.

No, it's empty and small-minded writing like this 9:18, that makes the Archie universe feel so bullshit. It's a constant firehose of irrelevant fantasy nonsense. And anything remotely inspired by RESPECT to the originals is lowest common denominator wiki quotes, like the fact Might and Ray are written as friends is entirely because of which games they were together in. That is, the one game. And so they were "expanded" as nothing but knockoff Tails and combined Sonic+Knuckles, just so the archie staff can tell their fanfics about Mercia or some shit to a locked-in audience who thought they were reading Sonic comics. And now it's a matter of religious neuro-variability to keep with that "canon" of their personalities, no wonder Sega wants nothing to do with them. YOU finish the epic story of Mercia and Madeline and Fiona the Fucking fox, if you want to. And I don't want high heavens, Sonic Heroes level of writing is just fine. And that's a downgrade from Adventure, the bottom line is there's plenty to expand upon. Flicky got a lot of development and she(? he? one of them? I think she was a mother in her own game) is one of the early animals that are all just "small forest creatures", unlike now sonic's gang are these "special" Main Character animals. Now to bring back any character they have to be retrofitted to this fan canon expectation, like Mighty and Ray now have to move as a set for some damn reason.
Idk if it's just me but I love/prefer Amy's original design but her character growth from adventure 1&2...ugh sonic team really bent over the sonic character's and bucked them with a cactus
There no such thing called the "classic dimension" izuka sonic and classic sonic are the same to us. Might and Ray desvers better along with team hooligan,honey,classic chatiox's, heavy and bomb. But anyway great video dude keep up the great work!

11:15 Not sure if this is true or not, but I saw someone point out in a comment, that in the Sonic vs Mega Man crossover, when Sonic traveled back in time, and erased his life, Baron never became the leader of wherever Matilda stays, so Mighty never found his sister. Although, because of the pre-genesis wave, it probably just erased her and Baron from existence all together.
It would make more sense if Sonic was caught because in trying to pull the other two to safety he was slowed enough because he couldn't support two others.
A game where egg man gets captured and metal sonic ask these two for help would be so cool And will make sense for them to be in a team (especially since they hey strength flight but no speed)

To be honest I kind of understand the reasoning why they're doing this it's due to the fact that it's been many many years since their appearance so having to appear like in a modern game like right now would be so jarring and you need to explain why disappear in the first place so why not just have timeline Branch out and have Classic Sonic have his own Adventures with the Forgotten Mighty and Ray and as well as other classic characters that were forgotten in the past I mean the modern-day cast is already over-bloated and underused
I don't think its jarring at all. I mean it wouldn't be the first that they brought back a group of classic characters into the modern games (Team Chaotic in Sonic Heroes) so if they could get a past why not Ray and Mighty? As for the bloated cast you have other gaming series that manage to make it work with their gallery of characters. I mean look at Mario. Mario's cast is as bloated if not more then Sonic's cast to where said cast members end up getting there own spin-offs but the still make it work. Heck the lastest Mario Mainline game brought back Mario's original love interest Pauline from the arcade game Donkey Kong (Mario's first debut game). If Nintendo can bring her back. Sega can definitely bring but Mighty and Ray.
@@Eternal-7 the Mario series is interesting in that majority of its characters are from games that stated some of Mario characters, spin-off characters, and a plethora of enemy fodder. Sonic’s universe actually try to make their characters feel like they can survive on their own, without the name brand
Mighty should still be part of the chaotix maybe if they made a side game of the chotix mighty and ray might be another cameo or playable characters…Ray might have a chance to be a freedom fighter with Sonic since ray isn’t really a chaotix My therory: in the upcoming Sonic prime it’s going to be focusing on the multiverse maybe they will be a cameo of some how or maybe just be characters in the show, Hopefully u read this👍
Freedom fighters and Mighty being apart of the Chaotix was an Archie thing( as stated in the video ). Honestly I don’t think the Chaotix Needs more members. If anything I think Mighty and Ray being the original duo is better, maybe have them adopt Heavy and Bomb
am i the only one to realize that ray looks like tails while mighty looks like knuckles even the fact that ray flys like tails and mighty is as strong as knuckles
There's also the fact that both armadillos and echidnas are able to curl up defensively like hedgehogs while foxes and squirrels can't (but the characters do it anyway)
