The two reasons I have yet to see this movie: 1. Even though I was interested in watching the Ms. Marvel show as I didn’t know the character well, I didn’t like it, so having her in a major movie was kind of blah. 2. The trailer looked bad. The story is weird. Why are they switching places (none of their powers come from the same source, makes no sense)? Who is the villain (I’m pretty well versed in comic lore, at least up to early 2000’s)?
But isn’t marvel universe THAT confusing? Too many characters. One stronger than the other. More etheral than the other. More conceptual than the others. I mean, I don’t understand the marvel universe in general. But who cares? I watch the movie for the music, and they say funny shit. 😂
The writing was just trash, story didn't make any sense, characters constantly made dumb decisions, and the whole time you're expected to be invested in the story that can't even invest the time in itself to flush out the filler scenes
The 3 leads are mid. Captian marvel from the 90s comics would do much better on screen. Ms Marvel should never even be portrayed on screen. Shes a self insert character. Who the hell is Photon? If you are going to use a character like Photon you need a 9/10 hottie playing her in a skimpy outfit to get people to care. The story also sucked. Marvel needs its old leadership back. Theres a reason phase one and two was epic and its been down hill ever since. No one likes the M SHE U
Can OnlY Partially agree cuz the backstory on he whole new arc is getting a little blotted. However, I nvr saw anything more than a trailer for the Disney plus for Ms Marvel and only caught the episode of WandaVision that had the x-men cameo. And i still understood the Marvels just fine. The movie was fun in its less serious portions, and except for a weak villain (who was related to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1 btw),I thought the movie overall was better than quite a few other mcu movies (eg. Dark world, Antman 3 etc)
if you were walking on the sidewalk and someone stopped u to point out a turd on the grass would believe them and walk away or would u need to look for yourself
I saw it. And I’m a fan and I was looking forward to it! It is so obvious that half of it was left on the cutting room floor that it turned what should’ve been an important movie into something that was borderline, incoherent, and meaningless. That’s why it failed. Simply put, what was delivered, was a terrible movie.
For me it was the other way round. I watched Cpt Marvel only after Endgame, and only to complete my list of not-yet-watched MCU movies, in futile hopes for some background for this character. But that movie was mediocre at best, and Brie Larson's toxic behaviour didn't make it any better. I also watched WandaVision bcs I liked the characters (Wanda and Vision, duh) and was curious about their wellbeing after Endgame. And I actually liked that show quite a lot, up until the last episode, where they ruined just about everything ("They'll never know what you sacrificed for them"). Photon (is that her official hero name?) was ... kinda there, introduced (as a superhero) rather suddenly with no explanation of her powers. I'm also one of the five-ish people worldwide who watched Ms. Marvel, bcs why not? New character I've never heard about, let's give her a try. And I quite liked Kamala Khan. If it was only for her, I probably would have watched a movie with her in a leading or strong supporting role, where her character gets fleshed out a bit more. But to pair her with an actor I hate (Brie Larson) and a character I don't care about (Photon) was a no-go for me. I'm kinda sorry for Iman Vellani. She seems nice enough. Her acting career was just about to take off. From what I hear from various reviews, she seems to have been the best part of the entire movie. Hope she doesn't take this too hard.
