F1 has come under increased pressure lately regarding the environment, which has led the sport to assess what it can do to reduce its carbon emissions. With Formula E already proving the success of all-electric racing, you may ask why F1 isn't too considering such a solution.

Great video. Very Informative. I think the technology of F1 has improve the efficiency and power. from V12 to now it's still able to squeeze that much HP with less fuel used. So the Innovation is continuing to improve. Same can be said with the future of Battery if they keep evolving and improving with new materials etc. But for now it's not there yet for F1.

The McMurtry Speirling proves this video wrong. Think out of the F1 Box. F1 rules are regressive towards racing advancement and engineering. A larger battery (but not as large as claimed in this video) and 4WD to maximize regenerative braking would be required. The battery and driver should be suspended in a second chassis to lessen the super harsh damaging ride into a safe ride. Cornering acceleration could be nearly constant reaching the drivers limit with head support being essential. This concept is realistic because the concept of F1 is flipped on it's head from very high drag, low down-force except at high speeds to low drag and constant down-force in corners with mostly regenerative braking.
