#STUNTEDGROWTH# great channel J..C. had idea for 3 players., 1Why Shawn Kemp Should be in Hall of fame(lead team to finals) #'s should been finals mvp. 7 time all star 1994 gold medal FIBA
Another player I watched and tried to mimic his game. Undersize post players like Larry Johnson🏀. Corliss Williamson🏀. Clarence Witherspoon and even though he switched to SF Big Dog Robinson🏀. He in my opinion is most definitely a HOFer . Ask any who played against him and they'll say he was a problem. Shouts to you JC you did it again main. THESE ARE THE 🏀BALLERS🏀 I TELL MY KIDS I COACH ABOUT❗
Using the same "How is ____ not in the HOF" metric, please consider following this up with my personal favorite player from my hometown, and a guy who, arguably, has items on his resume worthy of the HOF.... Terry Porter...
The smoothest scorer in college bball history since '75. Big10 games always been like 54-59, 65-72... so for Big Dog to be the only man to average 30+ ppg in Big10 history coupled witha 11yr, 20ppg NBA career should put him in the HOF, no question.
The one time I met Ray Allen, he told me the greatest disapointment of his career was the 2001-02 Milwaukee Bucks. He said all Summer they let everyone tell them they got robbed in the Eastern Conference Finals and that they would make the Finals next year. He said they believed it, they just forgot they still had to put in the work. They let everyone just convince them of how good they were. They were so convinced that they no longer felt the urge to prove it. And suddenly, with no fire in the hearts of the team, they just completely fell apart and embarrassed themselves.
Well he finally got his shine his Junior year, because the previous two years it was all about the Fab Five, Webber in particular. After Webber turned pro in 1993, guys like Big Dog, Juwan Howard and Alan Henderson got to get exposure. Notice how Howard’s numbers went up drastically his last year at Michigan?? Because he was now the focal point inside after previously deferring to Webber.
Big Dawg was a bucket!!!! Elite level scorer at all 3 levels..He should definitely get HOF consideration. Hoopers know, this walking bucket. Winning is probably what will keep him out. They were robbed in 01. I think they would've gave LAL a better run than Philly did..but factoring his college, HS, NBA career should give him more consideration. Another is more and more guys are getting in, so th voting is more spread out..as an example. Bosh I believe was up for this year. His should have been 1st ballot. But when you factor the historical guys KG, bean, Duncan etc..
Webber isn't in the HoF because of his college scandal. Banners were taken, wins vacated, then his impressive NBA career has a lot of injuries hurting his overall impact.
Big Dog was a walking bucket. I feel that the politics of the league is why he is overlooked for the HOF Just like he was snubbed a few times from the all-star Teams & He was Snubbed for Rookie of the year for the two players the league felt were more Marketable. it did not sit well with some that he got a 68 million dollar record rookie contract.
@@jamman950 You have every right to your Opinion and Perspective. He was impressive to me and I seen him play in high school, college and the pros he was a bucket. Just played for a small market team in the era before the internet
I'm from Gary Indiana, best thing outta Gary other than the jacksons and Freddie gibbs , second best player i saw play from Gary other than Tyhesha Wilson
Glenn Robinson was a monster at Purdue....and I felt like he was one of the best players of that era who never got his props...smooth jumper and I loved his high socks lol
Definitely. He kill today or in D'Antoni style system. I remember him being a scorer but didn't realize how good of a passer he was til I went back and watched his highlights.
Because of him and ray allen the bucks were my "backup" team when i was young...loved his mid range game. Big dog, antoine walker and c webb were my guys..
Big Dog!! Man he was my favorite player in that 94 draft class that included Jason Kidd and Grant Hill. Though he didn’t quite live up to his full potential, he averaged 20.7 ppg, 6.1 rpg and 2.7 apg. Those are career averages. That ain’t bad. Also got a ring with the Spurs in 05. I ain’t mad at him.
I was between the ages of 10-20 from 90-2000 and Glenn big dog was one of the best to touch a ball. I remember him basically equivalent to breaking the internet when he sign that contract. # all the vets were mad🤣🤣🤣
Glenn was a very good professional scorer but is not a Hall of Famer. If you look at his playoff numbers, they are worse than his regular season numbers. Also, can we get a Jamal Mashburn and Antonio McDyess stunted?
Glenn was a beast, he just wasn't as flashy as a high flying Grant Hill. He was blue collar to the core, didn't say much, put in a ton of work, and let his game speak for itself. Props to you for doing this video. Hopefully he eventually gets to the HOF.
Big Dog, Vin Baker and Ray Allen..that was an unrealised potential big three back in the 90s for me..though they got to the conf finals they never got back to that unlike Boston..
I don’t know why I always thought Big Dogg reminded me of Nate Dogg lol He was calm and smooth, rarely said anything. He was like Carmelo and Antoine Walker. He’s very underrated
I was a huge Big Dog fan in college. After watching him at Purdue it’s hard to imagine him never making an All-NBA team. He had turnover issues, was right hand heavy, and struggled playing a role if he wasn’t a main scorer on his team. It’s also harder to get better when your so advanced at a young age....
Fun Fact about Glenn Robinson: He's pretty much the reason why the rookie wage scale is a thing. Before it incoming players would hold out well into the regular season at times until they got the contract that they wanted from the team that drafted them. So during the collective bargaining negotiations back in 95 the league and the NBAPA agreed to implement the rookie wage scale because they got tired of youngsters coming in the league and getting bigger contracts than vets did at the time. Big Dawg was one of those holdouts which is which he got that huge contract and probably why he didn't get Rookie of The Year. The media that votes on the award probably held it against him. Definitely one of the most underrated players in league history and should definitely get some HOF love.
Oh shit you had a lil footage of the crib. From Gary and big dog is a legend to us. I remember when he was out here in his USA gear when I was a kid it majestic to me. Shout out JC only big dog video I've ever seen. 👍🏿👍🏿
Glenn Robinson isn't in the HoF because he didn't do anything that makes him standout aside from his 2 collegiate seasons. He was "just a scorer" in the NBA, and even in that regard his numbers aren't exceptional. He wasn't viewed as a game changer, you honestly can't even say he did anything else at an above average level. So the guy that was "just a scorer" wasn't even considered elite at the best part of his game.
@@alexcoffman4837... that's even more mind-boggling, I didn't even realize that, Rodman was 1 in a billion type of talent ...will never see another Dennis Rodman, that's for sure!
The thing is, there's no NBA hall of fame. It's just the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame so it takes a players whole body of work from college and pros.. If you look at his overall career from college and the NBA, he has a case to be enshrined.
@@Juwellz18 He Avg. 20ppg for 11 yrs. NBA .Cool.. He only had 14K points. Those are not dominating numbers and he was not a consistent all-star. His NBA body of work was average at best. But If they have Dino Raja and Vlade Divac in it. Sure he should made it. He did not dominate any era in the NBA. The HOF should be for transcend Players the bar is too low right now.
@@jamman950 He did not win anything. He went to a few conference finals. He was 0k, but not a change agent that transcends the game. Sabonis is a good standard for European greatest.
@ 4:24 whenhe Yakked on Ostertag and just stared into his soul, I fucking laughed so hard. Glen and Moten are the reasons I wore(and still do) the knee high socks on the court. His game was below the rim thats why most people dont think of him as a fan fav. But if you know bball you know he was deadly. Your channel is dope, son. Keep it up.
I reckon the fact he asked for $100m hurt him. Ironically that $68m over 10 years meant he turned out being a bargain. Also he has some strong enemies in the media
Wow, never knew he won a ring with the Spurs until I watched your video. I noticed he disappeared from the game and i didn't hear about him until now...Thanks.
My favorite player ever. Growing up in Indianapolis I hated Bob knight, IU & them short shorts. I related way more to Big Dog & rode with Purdue. Purdue commits never win Mr. basketball over IU commits but he killed Allen Henderson in the state championship. Then was beating the fab 5 by himself. GRob was that dude.
I think also the fact that he played for the bucks had something to do with it. If he averaged those same numbers while playing for the Knicks or shit even the Miami Heat at the time he would have more awards and more hype around his name, perhaps be in contention for a HOF nod. Due to the small market, lack of exposure and just overall borderline anonymity, only those who knew basketball knew Big Dog Glen Rob was a beast.i was privileged to watch the man put on shows against A.I led teams who was my fav player after MJ retired.
Glen Robinson would be nice in today’s game, I remember back then people criticize him for his def, at current era, when def is not as emphasized he would fit perfectly in today’s game
I don't think he got snubbed from the hall.. he was only a two time all star.. very good player... however, if you factor in his entire pre nba career.. maybe.. big dog was a bucket tho
big dog was THAT dude‼️ another great video JC 💪 lately i been thinking about some late 00’s/early 10’s bigs that had guard skills, i’m talking guys like anthony randolph, donte greene, and austin daye. Would love to hear your perspective on any of them in future videos.
I appreciate that you gave Big Dog some love he was my guy back in the day. I hooped with high sock because of him. And rocked his Jersey in high school
@@jopilot4126 I didn't, but I grew up in Baltimore. I watched Kwame bum ass on TV every few days w the Wizards. Know all about that situation. My two eyes tell me he didn't have the talent to be great (nor the work ethic). He should have never been picked #1. (MJ CANNOT DRAFT TALENT)
