Excellent information, cannot thank you enough . ive just been educating myself on the subject after a lifetime of struggling....many years of therapy, life-coaches, a decade of aca, now sober recovery....beginning to heal. Its a terribly long road. The primary thing for me has been this persistent *confusion *. People in my midst going "Gosh shes so capable...if she could only..." its beyond maddening. As an adoptee adopted out at birth, from my personal experience and many other adoptees I've spoken with is that we all developed an attachment to our mothers since being in the womb. And the separation during adoption caused huge attachment traumas. It's a wonder why a large % of people in rehabs come from adoption backgrounds.
