Does it remove micro-plastics? The manufacturer fails to answer any questions we have sent them. Now why is that do you think?

I have used the Classic Santevia pitcher for years and loved it. You fill the filter holder with water and you get Akaline water ready to use. No fuss no muss. I decided to upgrade to the MINA and found early I made a huge mistake throwing out the Classic pitcher. One of the problems with the MINA is it is slower. The other larger problem is when you fill the top part with water it does not all filter through to the bottom, and there is less filtered water. When you go to pour a glass of water, unfiltered water pours out of the filler hole into your glass and you have to pour out water from the upper reservoir to prevent this. IT IS AMAZING THAT A COMPANY LIKE SANTEVIA CAN UPGRADE A PRODUCT AND IN DOING SO MAKE IT UNUSABLE. SHAME

We are sorry this has been your experience with the MINA Pitcher! The MINA Filter works to filter 80+ contaminants and as water passes through the filter it may be a bit slow to filter, but if you are noticing it is slower than normal it could be due to air bubbles being trapped in the filter. Give the filter a few taps on your counter and this should help. If you have any other concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our customer support team at help@santevia.com. 💙

The promo simply says it "filters" contaminants. So what? It doesn't say what percentage of each contaminant it removes. Where is the independent lab report listing levels of each contaminant before and after passing through the filter? I have many more questions for those clever marketing men wearing grey suits and designer stubble. Move on everyone, nothing to see - or hear - here, as they say in the movies.

Disappointed with the lid design of your current Mina pitcher. No matter how slow or fast I pour water onto the self closing lid, it does not push down for a second or two causing water to spill all over the pitcher. In addition, there is something wrong with your new clear Mina filters; I have to slam the pitcher onto the counter every single time I fill it up due to "air bubbles" in the filter. I never had this issue with the blue filters.

Sorry you're having these issues! The air bubbles in the filter is unfortunately a common issue and arises as the filter media settles inside the filter as its being used. As for the lid, we will pass on your feedback to our product design team!

@@santeviawatersystem but is it supposed to happen every time I refill the pitcher? This has happened with two clear filters, but never had this issue with the old blue filter.

March 2024: Hello again Santevia. Why don't you read comments and respond to them? Does your filter remove nano and/or microplastics - yes or no. This is a very simple question.

The MINA Pitcher and Glass Water System remove microplastics larger than 0.3 microns in size, the Gravity Water System removes microplastics larger than 0.2 microns!

@@santeviawatersystem So can we assume your Pitcher & glass systems don't remove NANO plastics - YES or NO.
