I can’t believe how many times there were grammatical errors! The easiest thing to do for these lawyers would be to read it out loud and be sure that the lawsuit made sense.

OMG 😂 Sean Reyes is certainly convinced of his importance in the world. And his number one priority is to let everybody know that. Being state Attorney General is just a vehicle for that. Is there some trauma in his past about being or not being class president?

Love getting the inside scoop from RFM. Hope this one holds some water, the optics have looked really bad for Reyes from the beginning, but this is Utah and it's governed as a theocracy. I hope Reyes goes down with O.U.R. ship, what a scam!

total popcorn moments .... I am not an attorney but I worked for about 200 and read lots of complaints both civil and criminal and this one sounds so unprofessional and messy. They are filing formal allegations against a state's attorney general and some of the paragraphs sound like a slam book, not a lot of actionable allegations. SMH Nevertheless, the litigation keeps coming and this story has not even gone national yet. Hopefully, the actual allegations of wrong doing get adjudicated and this circus gets shut down for good.

In the military, the Adjutant General is called AG (Ay Gee) and Inspector General called IG (Eye Gee) so as not to be confused with the 1, 2, 3, and 4 star Generals. So when I hear Reyes called General Reyes, it just really rubs me wrong. I would call him AG Reyes.

I didn't interpret it as the threat being "let's find a way to work together", but rather that accompanies the vague threats: let's find a way to work together, or else (we'll have to make you the villain in our next doc, etc)

Increasingly, people who have grown up with tweets and texting being the principal forms of writing they have engaged with regularly are moving into the professions. The fact that the attorney(s) in question are even inserting emojis into formal legal filing documents is a bit disconcerting. As a society, we seem to be getting close to the bottom of the slippery-slope ride to idiocracy. For now, this tweet-and-texting style of legal writing is probably still not the norm. 10 years from now, even the formal judgments issued by judges will probably be similar: "As the judge, you know, when I heard the defendant, like say that he was like not concerned about the bruises, i was like OMG! This guy is literally, you know, like Chris Brown and Hitler. I was like horrified! So I sez to myself, as the judge, I have to put this piece of 💩in jail or something. So, you know, that's why he's guilty of everything, IMO."

@RFM, as a lawyer, what is the nuance between "state of Utah" and "State of Utah" that this attorney is using? I am a programmer, and nuance like capitalization is essential. "State of Utah" and being a citizen thereof, and "state of Utah" and being a citizen thereof would be different entities in most programming languages. Since legalese is a language...and is CODE...can you clarify this nuance?

Tim Ballard has mastered the Mormon style of 2 face language and behavior. When he has his secretary email or text about “working together” it is so disingenuous. He clearly is threatening the recipient that they will fall in line or else.

Are lawsuit submissions typically laid out like this? Numbers 59 -69 (also like the Kanye West statememt)just seems like a bunch of random info. I am assuming that the attorney will tie it up and make the connections for us at the end, but I'm wondering if this is the typical format: Random info numbered bullets that may or may not be important?

The writing and layout in this lawsuit from either these lawyers or their paralegals is definitely not top shelf. Rather jarring if you're a casual legal watcher who is used to reading Supreme Court decisions or legal challenges where they have excellent clerks writing and proofreading to something like this lawsuit.

Hearing the general allegations of misconduct toward women I’m inclined to believe. However, the more of these complaints that come out, the more it sounds like embellished propaganda and the less interest I have. Sounds like these lawyers are rookies at best.
