Watch the full breakdown of Khabib's training routine on my RU-vid channel where I explore the secrets behind his elite strength and cardio in a lot more detail! 🧠👀
Oh my god! Khabib was only 5 years old when he first performed ………. Running up a hill Is your life so mediocre that even the most natural things like running amaze you? Get a life
As a boxer myself i noticed that jogging doesnt transfer to fighting cardio that well ,but sprints is where its at. With sprints my cardio has gotten so much better. I learned to be "sport specific" when i do certain workouts, like when i do my road work i will go from a jog to a sprint back to jogging then back to sprinting and so on.... And instead of paying attention to miles i did 3 minute rounds with 1 minute rest just like everything else i train. I just wanted to share what works for me as a boxer
@@patootie3529 they mean it was chained most of it's life. He didn't wrestle a bear. Nobody alive can wrestle a panda bear. Or a small asian bear, or sloth bear. THe bear would break your bones in a heartbeat.
Hill sprints. Nature's homegrown extreme conditioning. Think of all the scary warrior cultures that came from mountainous regions; Macedonians, Vikings, Scots, Aztecs, Spartans, Swiss Pikemen, etc.
vikings tribe almost wipe out by muslim warrior, just do some research and you found out the so call strong viking is no more than just a add on story to make the world believe that viking are the strongest of human kind, but thats not true 😂😂😂
@@user-km4zi4db9ryeah I remember watching a Netflix series which bonjior killed muslim in Spain market later they did not show anything about revenge then it was told in a shot about history sultan of Spain wiped whole viking in and made king bonjior repent in hole market those murder he did then viking had good relationship with muslim and become cheez sellers in Spain as traders
And what you think others had autobahn’s? 80 % countries are hills and mountains and most people back then live in those places because its natural barrier it is sad that your barrier is thinking and acting like impressed adolescent
If you have really terrible knees and acute knee pain, stick to the cardio machines. However, when it comes to sprints, uphill running is your best option. Hill sprints drastically reduce the eccentric impact forces on your joints thanks to the incline and a shorter and more frequent stride. Just walk back down, so you don't cop the extra impact. I've had severe cartilage damage and knee surgery and I hill sprint once a week without issues.
@@ruslanshavkatov466 not quite lmao. Plenty of steroids don't cause "bodybuilder look" and if you're lean all the time like khabib and some other lightweights then you're not gonna build a shit ton of mass. Steroids don't make you grow muscles out of nothing, you still have to eat. There's a 99.99% chance that Khabib, Islam, Volk, Khazmat, Strickland, Adesanya, etc are all on roids. If pro golfers and cyclists are taking steroids you're completely naieve to think that professional fighters aren't all on stuff lmfao. And it's very easy to pass a drug test when they tell you when, where it will be. Not to mention designer steroids or just testosterone that are undetectable lol...
@@ruslanshavkatov466not every PED is for muscle building. Usman Nurmagomedov, Ruslan Magomedov, Islam Makhachev, Ottman Azaitar... All popped, all of their team os juiced, even Ali admitted that they use LITERS of IV (for better hydration and to flush PEDs out)
@@TheImmortalSorrow Khabib’s cousin Usman also just popped for PED’s. Islam has popped for them in the past. Both (coincidentally) have incredible cardio. When half you’re elite teammates have popped for PED’s, there’s a solid chance you’ve taken them as well
So much hero worship of this guy. In my opinion he should not have retired. He had no reason to. I understand his dad dying and that can mess anyone up, but still. Think about what he denied himself and the fight world. Personally I think he just didn’t want to eventually lose. But that’s a normal feeling to have as well. I guess he felt it was more important to retire early to cement his “legendary status” and remain relevant in conversations about “who is the greatest fighter” than to potentially lose at some point.
These people live for their parents not for themselves. Even if he had 99-0 people would still complain why not 100? This keeps going on and on to why not 1000? Why only 999? Because they want to see him lose. Thats it.
I run hill sprints and skip rope and run really really slow and long. I also hike with weight. I've seen people run with weight vest and such it's just not needed when there are so many other options that don't mess you up.
He is running up that hill to escape welterweights That's where the wrestlers are. Khabib's brother wore a "Usman", "Covington", or"Edwards" mask and chased him most mornings.
im i an same position i practice tuesday and thursday wrestling monday friday and saturday i do my push pull legs and wendsday and sunday i do my cardio
If it's something that mainly targets your lower body like sprinting, you could do it before or after an upper body workout. That's what I do with my hill sprint protocol. Whatever is your main focus, should be done first.
I don’t get the need to overcomplicate if your martial arts allows you to practice at a high intensity just do that best way to get good at anything is just doing that I wrestled for a couple years and my cardio was crazy good we had sprints at the end of practice and in the summer in the off season we would do a lap around the school and the town but I mean in all honesty if ur gonna do some sort of cardio pick high intensity or low so either hill sprints with breaks or long jogs me personally I’m old school so I’ve always just chose the track for cardio but no need to overcomplicate you need a day off you can’t exercise everyday trust me it happened to me it sucked I was like 10%bf wondering why I was always so tired even when I slept like 10 hours my body was exhausted and I was not eating much because I was tryna stay on weight for the tournaments and because I was doing too much with not enough rest and food but overall just if ur gonna do cardio do it on the same day as something else just do it like twice a week ur martial arts will already give you some form of cardio do it apart from ur other exercise that day so if ur training session is at night do cardio in the morning rest throughout the day eat and be ready and refueled by the night and rest at LEAST one day out of the week
He's done hill sprints from young age - but he also used the assault bike, rowing machine and swimming which are easier on the joints compared to the sprints. What's so hard to understand? 🤔
Yeah. There's a little workout I do involving a handful of really effective core work sets between the rower, cross country ski, assault bike, and the versa climber before I swim for a little bit. Talk about being wiped out
The Diaz bros both both run and swim - but I believe that it's typically slower-paced for longer distances (e.g. triathlons) which suits their fighting style of slow and steady forward pressure. It seems that Khabib did more high-intensity training like hill sprints, circuit training or wrestling rounds which again suits his more explosive, wrestling-heavy fighting style.
Guys trust me sometimes its good genetics..after 3 months of not training i gone to trials for under19 football team (3 hours training) i got cut for bad conditioning (i never told them i stop trainig) but after the second practice i could go for hours man. Nothing could stop me..they offer me to play in fourth league but i had other plans for my life
What i find weird is that these men go through all that endurance training only for me to watch UFC matches to every one of them get real tired after 3 minutes. Their kicks become lazy, they start relying on takedowns in the first round. But boxing however, they actually last more than 2 rounds and still have fire.
Boxing only uses hands, while mma uses elbows knee strike, grappling, kicking, boxing etc. So it’s more tiring. Looks like you never train that’s why your saying this, casual.
@@TrollForLife123 it's easy to assume what online strangers do and don't do. I noticed true tiredness comes from dodging. Takedowns make the person trying to get out somewhat tiring. Boxers do a lot of dodging and still keep going. The amount of footwork and core work that goes into dodging depletes so much energy. In MMA when upper body gets tired naturally you start using legs, and you see that in UFC fights, round 2 and 3 so much kicks start happening, and to go into a takedown in 3rd round becomes pretty brutal for both fighters. I started watching Asian MMA and they rely more on kicks, and I have a feeling it's because arm work takes out too much energy, which is what these MMA fighters rely on. Whilst in boxing that's all they have, so they fully train arm endurance, maybe that's why they can go multiple rounds.
@@Ty-oe4dr yeah but the few matches I watch kabib he fully embraces takedowns, so I believe his endurance training is fully based on this, he can probably go 5 rounds on the floor. I watch a UFC fight of Poirier vs Holloway and it went 5 rounds, all arm work, they made it to 5 rounds. However, I don't think activating leg work takes a toll on your endurance.
Tough to judge from afar - but I'd avoid impact for now and use the assault bike or rower instead. Then slowly and gradually introduce impact as the condition improves.
@@SvenKoch Difficult… I practice combat sports over 20 years and never got serious long term injuries but this Achilles thing is pretty nasty and destroys my training routines the last six months … can’t run ,sprint and jump, no jump rope. Workouts on punishing bag or sparing without kicks aren’t the same… Ok , I will test it out and hopefully get back in shape. Keep up the good work
I think big factor also to healthy strong Lungs, heart and muscles of Dagestani warriors the Fresh Air of High Altitude mountains of Dagestan as compared to training in a closed door gym
