Gradually the west is learning of the great wisdom of India. I'm Australian and attempting to learm Samscritam. When I taught mathematics I liked to tell my students maths stories and one of the stories related to how the HINDU number system moved from India to Europe. It made my Indian students very proud and the other students realise that not all knowledge originated in the west. These videos serve a very important historical and educational need. Even Pythagoras theorem was known much earlier to India.There is a statement in Samskrutham which is as follows:If a square is made with a diagonal of a square it will be equal to twice the squares of its sides.There is also a sloka in Samskrutham which describes how a horse (knight)( chess board )can be made to touch ALL the 64 squares in the board without re touching the square !It is attributed to a Vaishnava saint .

I think I got the tastes one: There are 6 tastes: _ _ _ _ _ _ ( represented by 6 blanks here) Each taste can either exist or not. So, it has 2 states (like binary numbers). The number of tastes we can generate = 2*2*2*2*2*2 = 2^6 = 64. But there is one combination where all the tastes are absent. That is all are zeroes. So we deduct this 1 from 64 = 64-1 =63

In 2009 or 2010 i attended a talk by french person Michel Danino .. throughout his talk his point was why did ancient indian use weight as small as micro grams , lengths as small as micrometre.. why how they even measured it. He told, if u want to dig more about these ancient secrets .. its hidden in tamil libraries.. and nobody is reading them these days he said.

Upanishads give the name 'budha'('budhajana) to all wisemen. Sreebudha was the culmination of the ancient wisdom. His teachings helped to eradicate many foolishnesses/superstitions of the age and re-established the pure knowledge. Many of us worship him as avathar. Bharatheeya samskrithy was renovating its knowledge and wisdom through ages.we were always ready to accept changes (and higher level thinking.)

Sir, these days lots of RU-vid channel have been formed to disgrace Hinduism and they provide lot of misinformation giving reference from Vedas and I am totally confused because lots of people are losing faith in Vedas because of them. Some channels are science journey , rational world etc.
Watch the channel Heated Debates he refutes Science Journey pretty well. If you are losing faith than that's good cause if what you know is so weak that it can be easily destroyed by someone then it should be replaced with something else. Science journey is a Neo-Buddhist he uses Buddhism to attack Sanatana Dharma and further his agenda of Hinduism being casteist. To him Buddhism is only a tool he does not care about what buddha wanted to teach people. If you question his believes he will fall apart in no time. If you are losing faith in Vedas then try what he has to offer. Buddhism when you get into it is essentially Hinduism only. Buddha had no issue with Varna System But science journey would not say that because to Buddha is a mascot for his agenda. If you will see these channels have science and rational like words in names to make sure that people think that they are scientific in there approach even though they don't know 'S' of Science. If you will read philosophies like Nyaya(Indian logic) who believed in existence of Ishvara(God) they believed in four Pramana(Ways of proof) for existence of something 1. Pratyaksha(first hand experience) 2. Anumaana(Inference by use of logic) 3. Upmaana(Analogy) 4. Shabda(Knowledge established by previous masters) How are these people unscientific people. You should trust your ancient heritage and culture. Our people were no less than any scientist in there abilities obviously they didn't had certain tools and technologies to help them but intellectually they were some of the best ever. Vedas are not about faith they are enquiry, exploration and celebration of the divine truth that is in heart of everyone. They are written in poetic manner in old Sanskrit which is not easy to understand. Vedas true goal is achieve the highest goal of reality that is self recognition and liberation people interpret Vedas in all kinds of stupid manners. While gross science of today has it's importance but it cannot give eternal happiness and liberation. Ancient Indians concept of science was vaster as they explored the human mind and consciousness. If you want to understand Vedas in better manner you should read Sri Aurobindo's interpretation of Vedas. It's fine to lose faith so that you gain something more sturdy next time which would not be shaken easily like "true knowledge" not that is not just a idea but a experience.

the equation at 08:10 , i am sure about it and its simple and natural to think about it, that if 6 main tastes are there (i.e combination of 1 at a time) , then the combination of 2 at a time, then 3 at a time and in the end 1 at a time, this form a expanded binomial series whose sum is 2^n (2 to the power of n), in our case n being 6, so total combinations possible are 2^(6) = 64, but that subtracted 1 signifies the term, combination of 6 tastes taken 0 at a time, that is no taste , which is already being counted in our 2^n sum so we subtract that 1 from 64 and we get 63 combinations in total, {well this is the simple math , one can go on combining the results again as 1 at a time, 2 at a time and so on, but instead we can do ratios and portions with the basic tastes itself giving almost infinite amount of combinations, by taking infinitesimal reduction on ration , but finite if its fixed.}
