I love it thank you. I also liked your magnet idea. 🧲 I'm going to try them both out.

Genius! Such a simple solution to such a big headache. Drilling through stucco is just no fun, and then there's caulking that dries out over time and then i worry about any water damage that could result from water seeping into the hole. Thank you. Great video. And I like how you actually left a reply for all the comments.

Appreciate the video. I couldn't see exactly where you put the CA glue, plus you spoke little fast for me. Thanks

I put it right on the command tape. I'll make a short to highlight it.

Do you think this could work with outdoor patio string lights on a covered patio?

Yes

Work on wood/paint like garage trim ?
@TheSleepyCraftsman
@TheSleepyCraftsman 10 месяцев назад
Good question. Honestly, if the surface is smooth and clean, command strips alone should work fine. I have some around my garage door for 4 years now, no issues, but it's painted plastic trim. Well, at least I think it is. Let me check.

How long did you wait for the glue to dry before hanging the lights? Did the glue withstand the elements, rain or cold weather?
@TheSleepyCraftsman
@TheSleepyCraftsman 2 года назад
I waited like 15 minutes. Glue held up great, but I'm in Florida, so as far as cold goes, I can't say.

Have you tried removing one that’s been up for a long time? Like over a month or two? I’m wondering if there’s a long term damage possibility
@TheSleepyCraftsman

They were up for about 6 weeks last year. There's no visible marks or damage whatsoever, that I can see.

I wish I could use this. My stucco crumbles like crazy.

I'd take a brush beforehand to clear away any really, really loose stucco. Not a stiff wire brush, I'm thinking just a broom. Depending on your paint condition, the CA glue might stabilize the stucco enough for the clip to hold. My paint is recent, so the CA glue doesn't penetrate. If your paint is older, enough glue might make it's way in to hold everything together. It's amazing how much one drop can hold.

Do you put the glue on the clip as well as the part that goes on the wall?
@TheSleepyCraftsman
@TheSleepyCraftsman 2 года назад
Only between the command strip and the wall. I have never had a clip detach from the command strip before (unless I wanted it to).
